I grew up near this area and was not aware of this B&B until only recently. On our last visit, I decided to book a night at Felicity Farms, as it is quite conveniently located near family. When we checked in, we received a very friendly greeting and were shown our room, which had an outside covered porch with a very scenic view of the nearby woods and horse farm. The room was quite comfy, the bathroom was large with plenty of towels. Breakfast was quite delicious, served right in the kitchen. Just a couple of things to note: The outside porch is shared with the room next door, so keep that in mind before popping outside in your jammies. There is no key lock on the room door. We've stayed in other establishments that don't have room keys, and that doesn't bother us, but not everyone would be happy with that. There was no type of hospitality tray in the room to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. I had not thought to ask when I checked in earlier. She was staying off site at night, but had given me her number, but as it was rather late, I hated to call her to ask just how I could get a cup of tea. I'm not the type to just rummage through someone's kitchen without asking, but I did manage to find a cup and a tea bag so that I could make myself a late evening tea. Overall, the experience was quite pleasant. The B&B is located quite close to the medical center should find yourself in need of some accommodation nearby.…
Less than an hour from the heart of Pittsburgh, perched at the edge of Beaver, PA, which is worthy of its own 5-star review. The house is cozy and welcoming. The bed was perfect. The room well-appointed without feeling fussy. Meals -- well-planned, tasty, created by a cook who knows that "delicious" and "healthy" go hand in hand. There's a huge porch overlooking gardens and fields...perfect for sitting and visiting or reading or just staring and relaxing. You can be romantic here, or studious, or convivial, or just plain lazy.
We enjoyed our cold, wet one-night stay. Our room was spacious - just wished it would have had a king bed. We weren't able to enjoy our balcony due to the weather. Breakfast was pretty good, but sort of rushed as our host was preparing for an event and I got the feeling we were being hurried (in a nice way, I suppose). No problem finding it.
We stayed in Miriam's Room, which was lovely, but unfortunately the private bathroom for this room is accessed from the hallway. The breakfast was delicious, and appropriately sized. We loved talking with our hosts and learning about the history of the farm and their time creating and operating the B&B.
My husband and I were in town visiting family and were able to stay here one night in June, with my dad watching our kids. We were in Elizabeth's room and loved sitting on the huge balcony with a drink in the evening, after dinner in Beaver. The place is immaculate, cleaner than any hotel I've been in - especially the bathroom; so clean it felt new! Very nice owners and our breakfast was DELICIOUS - strawberries with lemon curd, homemade muffins with orange butter, protein pancakes and tasty sausage. Be sure to take a stroll around the farm and check out the beautiful landscaping, horses, and chickens. Would definitely stay here again!
