We needed to be in the area for a family funeral and the Comfort Inn was convenient to the various activities. Luckily the Comfort Inn is clean and well positioned right off of I-81. I called and spoke with Joanne who was helpful in making sure our small group could reserve rooms at reasonable rates. The hotel itself is a typical chain hotel and seems fairly new and in good shape. The location right off I-81 is both good and bad. Good for convenience but the highway can also be noisy if you are on that side of the hotel. Our room was on the opposite wing and was quieter. Plenty of parking available at the hotel too.
Perfect place for bridesmaids to stay for the wedding we were just in. Free breakfast was great, had a kitchen in each room, very clean! Also enjoyed seeing the dogs coming in and out :) would recommend staying here.
We stayed for 2 nights at this property recently over the weekend. Although I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, I've never quite seen a reception area like this one on Friday night! We checked in around 12:45 AM or so after coming from DorneyPark's Halloween event. The first thing we saw when pulling up to unload the car was a police cruiser parked in front of the doors. When I walked into the reception area, it looked and sounded like a frat party!! College aged kids everywhere, blasting music, smoke in the air, foul language, beer drinking, you name it. I was told that this was a wedding reception (at a Comfort Inn?!), but there is NO way that this situation is acceptable. I can't believe that the management would tolerate this behavior. I'm not sure what the cop was doing but there was also a can of beer behind the receptionist desk so maybe the young lady who checked us in was joining in on the fun. When we went to our room, I heard more loud yelling and cursing down the hall which turned out to be the next room next to ours. Luckily, I had a white noise machine and ear plugs so I drowned out the ruckus. I would definitely NOT recommend staying here on a weekend night if there is any type of event going on because the hotel seems perfectly fine with this situation (simply scroll down to an earlier review). We returned from Knoebels late on Saturday night and thankfully it was quiet that night. While the hotel is clean, modern and right off the highway, it is just a shame that such a ridiculous situation is considered acceptable by the management of this hotel. Will definitely be seeking alternatives the next time in the area on a weekend.…
Our first time at this Comfort Inn and Suites. Was a lovely stay! Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable furniture and bed. Breakfast was tasty and filling in a nicely decorated environment. Noise level was low. Would definitely be staying there again.
Stay was for a family function. Was given room in front of building. After a long travel day and arriving back at the hotel approx 9pm, there was a large crowd of men (golfers?) in front of the building congregated at the entrance way standing and sitting on coolers. Major party going on with loud noise, smoking, drinking - which I am more than Ok with in the proper setting. At approx 1030pm I called the front desk to ask when the noise/crowd would end and was told "maybe by 1130pm, midnite or a little later" and desk person said that nothing would be done about the noise. Too late to leave and go to another hotel which respected customers expectations for an environment without noise later at night, my only recourse was to ask to be moved to another room away from the noise - staff did not offer to assist with move. Moved to another room where noise was still audible, but much less. Now I know better - next visit to area will be at a different hotel as this place definitely not for anyone traveling and expecting a quiet environment at night. Staff handled our request for quiet as a nuisance and it was our problem, not theirs. No manager on duty. Concerning cleanliness, rugs on floor seemed damp and there seemed to be the residual odor of cigarettes in one of the rooms I was given.…
