We've been to the Wayside many times, and just spent three days there in perfect February weather (dry and mostly sunny). We like the units closer to the bluff, but every one we have stayed in over the years was comfy and well set-up for housekeeping. We like to eat lunch out locally while we are wandering around, and then...

My husband and I have been going to the Wayside for 10 years. We live at another beach 2 hours south, but love getting away to Yachats. The owners David and Lorraine and their manager Don are all wonderful and so accommodating. We always feel so welcome. They have 7 units in total and we have stayed in most of...

Clean and comfortable. Walk out the sliding glass door to lawn and then down some stairs to a long, wide, empty beach. Rooms are all a bit different from each other, but all are nice and comfy. A small motel, with rooms in different buildings. Rooms are equipped with kitchens if you want to cook while on vacation. Not me....

We stayed in Cook's Cove room. What a nice place. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. The view is right on the beach. The cottage is very tastefully done with a comfy bed and quality amenities throughout. Has a kitchenette that is all equipped, too. No coffee though, so bring your own. Also no hairdryer in the...

Difficult to find from the highway and their wifi is terrible (internet is fine but cell service is really, really bad) and pets are NOT permitted. So what, you are staying at the Oregon Coast in a 7 cottage "resort" to enjoy the scenery, private beach access and located on the central coast, Check out their website for the various...

I have stayed at the Wayside Lodge many times, in different units, and my experience has always been positive. What I like the best: ocean is right there, the beach is right there too, with 7 miles of sand and very few people. The beach, at the bottom of the steps, is actually part of the 804 trail which goes...

We had a very nice weekend in our cozy room at the wayside lodge. The older lodge room was very clean and had a wood stove with some fire wood. It came with fully stocked kitchenette. The queen beds were comfortable with new linen The room had a great view of the Ocean it was quiet and was far away...

We stayed in a somewhat dated cottage that was a little worn from the years. It was not spotlessly clean either but it was very cozy. For the price and beach front I guess I didn't expect much more and I would definitely stay again if I was traveling to the coast. The manager was helpful and friendly. Some of...

Just a couple of miles north of the quaint town of Yachats, but close to great adventuring such as Cape Perpetua. Stretch your legs on the expansive beach just beyond the big lawn or sit on an oceanfront bench and watch the ocean. Can't go wrong here, especially off season when it's a slower pace everywhere. We also had a...

Chance finding with this gem. Three of the units have had an upgrade and they are delightful. A terrific place for a wedding with a large grassy area overlooking the ocean. Will definitely be back. Incredible view and very quiet. I believe other units are being renovated as well as the first 3. If you are traveling down 101 stay...
