This hotel took me back to a quieter, simpler era. The decor is a bit old-timey in a sweet way. I loved the double doors that opened up to my own balcony overlooking the beach. You can see great views of the sunset. I also loved the electric fireplace, which created a sense of coziness and ambiance. The rooms were wonderfully quiet. The young woman at the desk was kind and helpful. I look forward to staying here next time I'm in Yachats.
Overall this place is nice. Great view and no cliff to scramble down to walk the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The only problem was the bathroom cleanliness. There was old soap residue all over the tub and shower walls. The little shower shelves were you put your bar soap, not good. The bathroom floor had dirt on it also. We didn’t inform management we just dealt with it and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend a stay here but with the whole COVID thing we were disappointed with the cleanliness.
This quaint little motel is a little off the beaten path- so will need to drive into town vs easily walk. However, quiet, little kitchenette, pet friendly rooms, cozy and clean. Only decreased one star as could use a little updating but good overall! Will definitely stay again.
Despite CV 19 restrictions this modest motel meets the need for a genuine getaway. Peaceful, tranquil, right on the beachfront with ocean views, there is not much not to like about these full-kitchen suites. Other than a poor Verizon or ATT connection we have no complaints. And besides, their WiFi is exceptional. Not being able to make calls other than wifi calling might or might not be an inconvenience. The room is very cute and kitschy. Feels homey and welcoming. Very clean. Firm beds. More than adequate lighting. Faux fireplace heating worked very well to keep entire space warm. Kitchen is fully supplied with most everything needed for cooking meals. To sum it up, we enjoyed three most pleasant days and nights. The weather was awful but we stayed cozy inside with the balcony door partly open. The sound of the surf is totally relaxing. There is a beach access, but high tides made it treacherous ...not advisable to climb unstable beach cliff steps during winter storms. Yachats is only minutes away, the state park ocean viewpoints are truly magnificent. Some shops were open and at least one restaurant or more offered inside sit down dining. This is sure to be one of our go-back places. Not luxurious but more than just acceptable. We loved our time spent there!…
My wife and I recently spent 2 nights here along with our dog. I would imagine that many choose to stay here because it is dog friendly. We enjoyed great weather during our brief stay and found accommodations adequate. We loved the view from our balcony and also were happy that we could park immediately in front of our room. The property has some age on it and it shows here and there, but there is the view. There was a bit of noise from the room next to us, as they too had a dog so, one must be tolerant if you too have a pooch. My only real complaint is that the room needed a much more comfortable chair in which to sit and enjoy views. I ended up bringing a folding chair we had brought along. It's always fun to stay in an "Old School" motel and this on fits the bill. This part of the Oregon is really nice and Yachats is great. We would most likely give this one another try in the future.…
