My husband and I drove from our daughters place to the coast the other day. In a wild storm, we sοught refuge at the Yachats Inn and found welcome comfort. The closeness to the sea at an affordable rate took us by surprise. The hottub and pool were clean, offering a fun and broad view. The staff were helpful and direct with a local feel. We felt refreshed upon departure and highly recommend the Yachats Inn.

Hotel's Favorite
During August, we spent three weeks at the Yachats Inn. Our stay began when we lost an existing reservation at another motel. I happened to call the Yachats Inn and explained to Tim what our problem was. He checked the reservation system to see what was available. He told me that if we were willing to change rooms twice, he could provide us with lodging. Two days after arrival, we were told that there was no need for any room changes. The Inn Manager had called a couple other guests and asked if they would change rooms. I requested none of this. On the first call to the Inn, Tim spent 20-25 minutes on the phone to solve our problem and get lodging for us. This family-owned place knows what friendliness and service are all about. The motel has several different types of rooms, so most everyone can have whatever they want. It is a little hard on the website to sort out all of the room types out. Some of the rooms should be called vintage. They are older. But every room that I saw was quite clean. Our “room” was a fully furnished and equipped one bedroom apartment. There appear to be many of these kitchen units available . Any request that we made of any staff member...housekeeping, maintenance, front desk....was taken care of immediately and with a smile. Some things were brought to the door by staff. COVID protections were fully implemented. The Inn is an ocean front property with lots of views and quick access to the beach. During the visit, we collected 30 sand dollars and a half dozen agates. Natasha taught us how to locate razor clams, where to look for agates, and where, at extra low tides, to look for sand dollars. This unplanned stay was one of the best parts of our summer outing. We already have our next reservation on the books.

The Yachats Inn has been our go to coastal spot for years. When we need an escape to the coast, Yachats Inn is our only spot-- if they are full we don't go! The suites are perfect for a long weekend, providing a kitchen so all meals don't have to be at a restaurant. While the front rooms are old (not updated), they are clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Front rooms also have a great ocean view with the offsetting of the rooms. The property is beautiful, with yards and a rock pond. Close enough for walking into town and along the shore.

Love this place! Always so clean and friendly staff, great price for what you get. The views are amazing! My kids love it here. They are already asking when we can go back to the coast. They are also pet friendly.

Always a great stay! I was able to spend a few days in a small room with a great ocean view on the south side of the lower section. My husband joined me for a long weekend in our family favorite South Front Suite. We enjoyed the fireplace while a storm put on a show outside. After visiting the Farmers Market we cooked a lovely meal in the kitchen. The open space, comfortable log cabin bed and amazing views just steps from the ocean, make this an unforgettable stay. My family has made this our place to come to refresh and reconnect for over 16 years now. It is great to see a 3rd generation becoming part of our family traditions at the Yachats Inn.

I booked The Yachats Inn based on good reviews here. However, it didn't take us long to discover that those good reviews were not about our room. On the plus side, we had a lovely view of the coast from our small deck, which included 2 chairs; the towels were nice and thick and the walk into town for dinner was lovely, with easy access to the beach. On the down side, nothing had been updated or replaced in years-- very threadbare and cheap; the mattress was hard and uncomfortable; there were black stains all around the bathroom linoleum--maybe mold?; there was only one outlet for charging devises; no hairdryer but we were able to borrow a small "vintage" one from the office; spotty wifi, no ability to lock the screen door for air flow. If you stay here, make sure you inspect the room first!

This place is truly special. The staff is family owned and operated and I’ve never met more competent or caring people. Right off the bat I was impressed with the service and it only continued from there. The property is beautifully manicured and if you get a free standing apartment “kitchen” suite (like a one bedroom apartment) than most of them have a great view of the property, ocean or both. There’s also a bathtub, fireplace, and little patio! The bed was comfy and I’ve never slept better—something about waking up to hear the surf and smell the fresh sea breeze I will never get over. Also the frogs will sing you a sweet song to sleep if you listen closely. I’ve never stayed anywhere more charming. Super short walk away to the waves, the beach, and town is just around the bend (also an easy walk). The pool also has a view of the ocean. So cool. Did I mention dog friendly? FYI. If you notice some difference in reviewers experience I believe it’s the difference of the units verses the rooms. The rooms are more vintage and though they have nice updates, I highly recommend the kitchen units as opposed to the rooms (I’ve stayed in both). The units are fantastic and worth the tiny bit extra. The rooms have great decks and patios to a lovely beach view but there is an old funk smell that unless you are a smoker is noticeable— so do yourself a favor and get a kitchen suite—have your wife thank me later. You’ll want to plan to book a few extra days because this place is like a warm hug. It’s unlike anything out there these days. You can get a clean room almost anywhere but encountering amazing humans on the road is priceless. Thank you Yachats Inn for making my summer to the coast a lovely and wonderfully memorable stay. I’ll be back!

If you're looking for a good vacation spot on the Oregon Coast, the Yachats Inn is one of the best places I have stayed at. It is a family owned business, which makes the place feel welcoming and homey. The staff were very helpful when I had any questions about the rooms or needed anything. The room I stayed in was affordable, well kept, open, and had a great oceanfront view, making it possible to enjoy the waves as I woke up. I was also able to enjoy the pool and lounge. The front desk was very sweet and informed me that the housekeepers didn't do stay overs at the moment due to COVID, understandably. However, they provided me with towels, blankets, extra pillows, etc. It was a really nice experience. Yachats is an excellent tourist town to explore and relax, if you need a place to stay or are looking for a vacation this summer, try the Yachats Inn in Yachats, OR. You won't be disappointed.

While this place had a great view of the ocean and friendly staff--that's where the greatness ended. The saggy, lumpy mattress should have been thrown out years ago. Not all light fixtures worked, bathroom wasn't properly supplied (and has NO counter space or hair dryer), few outlets, and the WiFi was sketchy at best. The patio chairs had so much corrosion and rust on the frames that I felt afraid to touch it lest I scrape a finger and get tetanus. Definitely not worth the money.
