I’m glad I didn’t read these sucky reviews for another hotel that Trip Advisor stuck onto Ya’Tel Motel’s page! The place we stayed was competitively priced and terrific; the recently updated room was spacious, clean, stylish, and the beds were comfortable. The location in Yachats right on 101 allowed us easy walking access to dinner, coffee and shopping options. The owner was friendly and welcoming and gave us honest guidance for options in town. The Ya’Tel Motel was one of our better decisions on our drive up the Oregon coast.

Scott, the owner was waiting for us and pointed us right to our assigned parking spot. He also gave us a couple of very recommendations for dinner that night. The motel only has nine rooms and we stayed in # 6. Everything is very lovingly put together in a mix of super modern and retro; right down my alley! A kitchenette with everything you need, a small bedroom and a great front room (with a daybed) with a TV. The bathroom was tiny, but everything worked and it was super clean. Be aware that there is no blow dryer (which didn't bother me) and no ice maker (we brought a couple of cups of ice back after dinner to enjoy our adult beverages). Even though the motel is right on 101, it was very quiet. Restaurants are in walking distance. They do not serve breakfast, but we had leftovers from dinner, so no big deal for us. We would come back in a heart beat! We could hear the ocean waves and it was only a short walk to the ocean. The owners live on premises and keep office hours but are available if need be.

This is a great motel. It's quiet, clean and the location couldn't be more convenient for anyone travelling up Highway 101. The room we were in was about the size of Belgium, with oodles of space for repacking bags, etc. Also nicely (and recently) decorated. Owner is friendly and professional. NB: as per title, most of the negative reviews have been incorrectly assigned to this motel by Trip Advisor.

Paying almost $200 for a room with 2 queen size beds I would expect better quality rooms. There were stains on the carpet and stairs, there was a tiny window in the back with the curtain hanging off, the front looked onto the gated pool which was an eyesore. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with mobility issues either as it was not accessibility friendly. 2/10

Friends, here is the best value motel in Yachats, Oregon! Don't let the outside fool you. Built in 1947 but completely remodeled, refurbished and spotlessly clean. Lots of extras - see all the photos. Quiet baseboard heat on an accurate thermostat. The photos are Room #8 with two queen beds. The only downside is tight parking.

Would not recommend to ANYONE. The lodge has no customer service to provide, as well as breakfast and room cleaniness. No pet area is proviided where is pet allowed. Again, room price is terribly high that the value is not wortth to have such serviice.

This review is for the Travelodge in Florence, Oregon, NOT The Yatel Motel in Yachats! As one of, if not the least expensive motels in town, we have never been accused of boing "overpriced". We do , in fact, have a pet area where pets are allowed. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but it was NOT at The Yatel Motel!

We were very surprised with the negative reviews on Trip Advisor about this motel until we realized those reviews ARE NOT about Ya’Tel Motel! The written reviews does not match the description on this motel!! Ya’Tel Motel is family owned with only 8 or 9 rooms and NO employees! Scott, the owner does everything! He greets customers and cleans all the rooms!!
Ya’Tel Motel is a wonderful choice to stay in while Yachats. Very friendly and helpful owner, #3 was very very clean and had everything we needed, and prime location, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops!

The rooms are newish and nicely furnished in an older property. The bed and pillow were comfy. There is NO A/C - common for the area - meaning you have to open your windows but given that you are right on the main US Highway the noise is unbearable.
The internet is only 2G and wonky. Painfully slow. There is some 5G on the property but you'll likely not be able to connect.
The room appeared to be clean but the floors were filthy. Swept only, no mopping. If you walked in white socks they were black by he time you spent 5 minutes in the room.
The public areas were a mess - strewn with litter. The landscaping is shot and gives a bad look.

Great, super convenient location, adorable, well-appointed room, lovely proprietors, walkable to the ocean, restaurants, delicious coffee, groceries... Amazing amenities including: Fridge, microwave, pod coffee maker, flatware and dishes... It's just perfect. Wecannot wait to visit again soon!

Non working pool and spa, this is summer. Rude staff, cleaning staff stayed stomping around at 6a.m. No air conditioning, no way to adjust water temp in shower. Walls in bathroom looked liked they just paint over the mold as it was bubbling and peeling. Toilet and shower/ tup were at 100 yrs old. All this for almost 250 a night, never again. I would pitch a tent in the woods before I stayed here again

Once again, this is NOT a review for The Yatel Motel in Yachats! We do not have a pool or spa. There is no staff to go stomping around at 6am. I'm sorry you had this horrible experience, but it wasn't at The Yatel Motel.
