Stayed here one night enroute to hiking in Eagle Cap Wilderness. Room was clean, comfortable, and very reasonable. Walked a couple of blocks to dinner and town and there was an excellent bakery/breakfast spot right next door.

If you traveling to destinations like Joseph, or the Wallowas stay here. It's not far from those places and much more comfortable. The owner has done a wonderful job of remodeling the site. The art work in each room adds to the overall pleasant experience. Friendly, helpful and clean describe the motel.pleasant town with good restaurants. Layer back comfortable. Less... More

While on a solo bicycle tour I stayed here. The manager is friendly. The room has two queen beds with a lot of space, microwave, refrigerator, a great heater for drying wet cloths and a nice bathroom and products. It's a short walk to the restaurants on main st. I would stay here again.

Came to Eagle Cap to hike with buddy. Needed place to sleep and shower. Enterprise, OR, full of bikers and high-priced lodging. The Mingo Motel, 18 miles from Enterprise, turned out to be a terrific choice. Very clean, quiet, well-decorated place with refrigerator, microwave, tub/shower, good beds, and convenient access to the Lostine and Bear Creek drainages. Will return.

Best Bed in the County!! Super clean, with updated modern bathroom. Very welcoming staff with great local recommendations! From the website pictures, I was wondering if the Old West theme in the decor was just "old" so I was very happy to find new bedding and great amenities in a quiet place w/terrific outdoor seating and beautiful raised beds separating... We reserved our room for two nights online and they were ready for our arrival. This is an older motel but has been remodeled and is very nice. Loved the knotty pine furniture. We had a flat screen tv, coffee pot, fridge, and microwave. The showerhead was fabulous! We could walk to the local tavern for dinner. We loved our... More

My family stayed here at the beginning of August. Even though we were late for check in the gentleman was very kind and came right over when we called. The decor is western and such a great change from the chain hotels. If we go back to Oregon will definitely stay here again.

What a nice surprise. From experience I tend to be somewhat leery of motels in small, remote towns but this 12 unit motel is quite nice. Very clean and everything in working order. The owner has invested a lot of sweat equity into this place and it shows. I have another trip planned to the area in October and I... More

We were delighted to find this place when many other nearby towns were full. The rooms were clean, cozy, nicely decorated and really great for the price. Very friendly staff. The location is a little far from Wallowa Lake, which we would have liked to be closer to, but all in all it was well worth it, and we would... More

My father and I recently completed a 12 day road trip throughout the state of Oregon. We stayed at a lot of places - hotels, motels -- Holiday Inn (say what?). Sorry I had to. Anyway...When we hit Eastern Oregon, there was a lot of scenic driving, small towns and the magical Mingo Motel. What makes this place magical is... More
