We reserved our room for two nights online and they were ready for our arrival. This is an older motel but has been remodeled and is very nice. Loved the knotty pine furniture. We had a flat screen tv, coffee pot, fridge, and microwave. The showerhead was fabulous! We could walk to the local tavern for dinner. We loved our... More

My family stayed here at the beginning of August. Even though we were late for check in the gentleman was very kind and came right over when we called. The decor is western and such a great change from the chain hotels. If we go back to Oregon will definitely stay here again.

What a nice surprise. From experience I tend to be somewhat leery of motels in small, remote towns but this 12 unit motel is quite nice. Very clean and everything in working order. The owner has invested a lot of sweat equity into this place and it shows. I have another trip planned to the area in October and I... More

We were delighted to find this place when many other nearby towns were full. The rooms were clean, cozy, nicely decorated and really great for the price. Very friendly staff. The location is a little far from Wallowa Lake, which we would have liked to be closer to, but all in all it was well worth it, and we would... More

My father and I recently completed a 12 day road trip throughout the state of Oregon. We stayed at a lot of places - hotels, motels -- Holiday Inn (say what?). Sorry I had to. Anyway...When we hit Eastern Oregon, there was a lot of scenic driving, small towns and the magical Mingo Motel. What makes this place magical is... More

The Mingo is one of those quaint old style hotel/motels, but don't let that dissuade you. Inside each room is serious competition for the generic box hotel. Everything you'd expect along with a bit of understated character. Everything is up to date and has obviously been remodeled in recent years.

Stayed at the Mingo Motel during a sightseeing trip in NE Oregon. Nice, comfortable, clean room with more amenities than expected for the price. Charming flowers in hanging baskets outside the rooms. Super comfortable couch and small table with chairs along with a nice bed. Recommended!

We visited family in Wallowa and enjoyed 2 nights in this comfortable hotel. Large enough rooms, a small fridge, a/c, all the little necessities that make for a pleasant stay. Our room was very clean and the bed comfy. My only request would be for more comfortable pillows. Located right next to a friendly cafe, too! Would definitely stay here... More

Actually for the rate I didn't expect more than a clean motel with a good bed. What I got was an old-fashioned small motel on small, well-kept premises with flowers everywhere. The room was very cozy, with a rustic charm, wonderful country-bedspreads, a firm bed, bedclothes and towels not the usual white but in brown and beige tones - in... More

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated. Best motel on our trip. Staff very friendly and helpful. Located in small town America. Took a walk and spoke to several people, everyone was so friendly. A few small restaurants only a few blocks away.
