Eagle Rock Lodge is a beautiful property located on the McKenzie River. The lodge is meticulously run by a wonderful couple, Kermit and Lisa. Their attention to detail is excellent. We stayed in the Songbird suite, which was superb and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing! Especially the french toast! And they feed the birds during breakfast, so the "bird show" was very entertaining! Overall, a terrific and relaxing place to stay! We hope to return!
An amazing location on the Mackenzie river, our room the Mayfly was all that we needed for a cozy anniversary trip including a jetted tub! The grounds and the plentiful birds were a great way to relax, with a glass of wine and a tasty appetizer, from our amazing hosts Kermit and Lisa ! Breakfast was great ,and day trips to waterfalls , hot springs ,and hiking were a short drive away! Highly recommend for anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of this amazing area!
We had two glorious nights in cosy Owl, with its very own raised deck overlooking the river!! Eagle Rock Is a beautiful property right on the river with beautiful gardens to while away the time! The real joy on top of everything else are the lovely hosts, Kermit and Lisa! Both made us feel so very welcome, Lisa’s cooking is sublime from the appetisers with scrumptious wine in the evening to a scrumptious breakfast each morning!! Thank you both so much To top off a very special stay we met other guests who were charming! We’re English! This is some of the best Oregan has to offer! You’d be mad not to make this a stop over or indeed a destination!!
And that says it all. The glowing reviews are correct. Beauty. Serenity. Professionalism. That’s what hosts Lisa and Kermit are committed to and that’s what they deliver. This place is therapy for the soul in these stressful times. My goal is to experience each of the lodge’s unique rooms. One down, seven to go!
I came out with my brother for a family, fishing, hiking trip. This lodge was the most beautiful and comfortable spot that we could have imagine. The lodge’s landscape was surreal and had flowers everywhere. The owner’s Kerm and Lisa were the most hospitable hosts we have ever encountered. They made a delicious breakfast for all the guest by the river and it was a perfect start for our adventurous day. Fishing was great. Plenty scenic places around. I would strongly recommend!!!!
Lisa and Kirby are gracious and fun, and very good at being inn keepers. The Lodge is so nice, with the McKenzie River right there! Peaceful and beautiful. We hiked, we drove on scenic roads, we fly-fished with Bob Spencer, we grilled our perfect rainbow trout at the Lodge, we ate delicious made to order breakfasts, and we had a truly relaxing, delightful experience. We stayed in the Owl Room, and it was private, quiet, clean and comfy. We will definitely be back!
Eating a delicious and filling breakfast on the deck overlooking the beautiful gardens and river was the highlight of our stay. But Lisa and Kermit's hospitality was a close second. When we needed to check in early to get back to Eugene for the track and field world championships, they accommodated us. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Overall, this is a meticulously run Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful grounds with unobstructed views of McKenzie river; great rooms/suites with comfortable beds and clean bath rooms; a delicious full breakfast and a wine/beer snack hour in the late afternoon. The owners Lisa and Kermit do terrific job in meeting any special needs of guests.
This is our second time to eagle rock lodge. Located about 50 min from Eugene, we pick up dinner of Izzy’s pizza and chicken and head on out for the weekend. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Kermit and Lisa live on site and provide great personalized service. Breakfast is usually a pastry, fruit cup, and a plate of your choice. I’m not normally an “avocado toast” kind of girl, but Lisa’s version is hearty and delicious! My husband gets the Marionberry Stuffed French toast. Don’t miss trying Lisa’s homemade granola, either. Breakfast is served overlooking the River, the woods beyond and the most amazing view of birds in all seasons. The grounds are gorgeous Year round, but Lisa recommended May to us as so much is in bloom. Get ready to do some amateur birding, you won’t be able to take your eyes off the display. Enjoy your room and the grounds all day or ask Lisa and Kermit for recommendations of hikes, and places to explore.…
Eagle Rock Lodge was one of the nicest places we stayed during our visit to California and Oregon this May. The Inn keepers, Lisa and Kermit, were so welcoming and hospitable. We were greeted by Lisa with a welcome drink and snack. We had our drink on a private terrace; part of the Owl Suite. The bed was so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud. There was a fireplace controlled from a dial just behind the bed. The room came with a large walk-in closet. The bathroom looked like it had only recently been decorated, with modern tiling and up to date faucets and shower head. There were fluffy bathrobes provided. Every detail was taken care of. There was even a towel for ‘makeup’. The fridge in the room was quiet. There is a microwave and tea/ coffee making station. The highlight of our stay was the view from our terrace and the grounds. The property has a manicured lawn, plenty of outdoor seating, all directly on the Mackenzie River. You couldn’t get a better location. The Inn keepers live close by, but not in the same accommodation, which, for me was important. We stayed in other places and B&B’s where it was like walking through someone else’s house. At Eagle Rock Lodge, you really have full privacy. The breakfast was excellent. It rivalled 5 star hotel breakfasts. We loved our stay and have already recommended it to our friends and family. I hope one day we will be back.…
