Detailed Reviews
This cabin is a terrific place to stay for relaxing or exploring the area. All the modern amenities combined with the ambience of bygone days. Heat/air conditioning worked well. We couldn't try the fireplace or the firepit due to burning restrictions in place across the state. TV and internet also worked well, although we didn't use either one very much! The long deck is just steps from the river - we enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the babbling water, and watching fish jump. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. Very private location on the property - peaceful and quiet. Delicious large hot breakfast each morning delivered to the cabin by the owner was a treat! The kitchen is adequate for cooking and if you don't want to cook, a nearby town has a couple restaurants (we got pizza one night and ate on the deck of the cabin). A wonderfully relaxing place to stay!

Thank you for your lovely review! Although we rent through both VRBO.com and Airbnb and have five start ratings with both, it has been difficult for us to have posts on Trip Advisor! We truly appreciate it and look forward to hosting you again!

Lovely cabin right on the Rouge River. The owners had it all prepared for us including a delicious homemade breakfast in the refrigerator. Very well cared for. My husband loved having a fire at bedtime. The kids loved all the old time decor. Very nicely priced.

We absolutely love staying at the Rogue River Lodge cabin! It's cozy, riverfront and the hospitality is impeccable. Lee & Anne have created a special place that we will return to again and again, and their staff are so accommodating and friendly. Thank you so much!!!

+1
We had such a great night here! The cabin is set back off the road from the restaurant, overlooking the river. It has been restored to its 1937 glory- from an ice box to an old phone to a calendar from that year. It feels like stepping back in time. Even the dishes are vintage Fire King.
We had so much privacy, but it was great to have the restaurant so close. We were able to enjoy beers from the bar on our back deck upon arrival, a lovely dinner that evening and a fresh breakfast the next morning.
Our dog loved romping in the river to cool off (it was a lovely 100+ while we were there;) and it was fun to watch the rafters float by.
This was the perfect stop to break up the drive from the Bay Area to Portland, though I'd love to come back as a destination in itself. We loved this little cabin!

We stayed 2 nights recently, and we know we will be back again. The cabin has all sorts of "old" touches that are really fun to see. And the really important things for a perfect vacation are there too: comfortable bed, air conditioning (as it was in the 90's when we were there) and one of the most relaxing to look at and beautiful river views we have seen. Lee was a terrific host, bringing us a delicious breakfast each morning and our meals at the restaurant were wonderful. Great service by everyone at the restaurant too. We can't wait to visit again.

My wife and I were looking for a little getaway for a few days and discovered the Rogue River Lodge Cabin. It was just what the doctor ordered and cheaper than therapy. When you are right on the river and have two of the nicest people you could meet as your host, the stress melts away.
The cabin is cozy and has everything you need at your fingertips. We were treated to a world class breakfast every day (3 days for us). At night when there was a chill, we put a fire on and we had plenty of firewood nearby. We unplugged our electronic devices and just let the sound of the water and wildlife be our soothing entertainment.
Lee and Anne have quite a gem on the river and we look forward to going back again. It was wonderful.

We stayed at Rogue River Lodge for four nights and were wishing for more! What an absolutely perfect location on the Rogue River! The cabin is right at the river's edge and we thoroughly enjoyed fishing from the bank and sitting on the large deck of the cabin. Lee prepared breakfast and brought it down every morning - delicious! He is an amazing and attentive host! Everything was very comfortable - great bed, hot shower.
We will definitely return as soon as we can!

Thank you for enjoying our "little slice of heaven". Lee works diligently to constantly upgrade the property and although we have over a hundred excellent reviews on VRBO.com, we really appreciate the Trip Advisor review! We look forward to your return visit!

We were looking for a non-motel place to stay on the Upper Rogue river and this cabin fit the bill perfectly. As others have noted, the cabin is the last remaining edifice of an old (1937) motor lodge set of cabins. Lee and Anne have done a wonderful job in restoring it, right down to period appliances and condiments in the kitchen (that has been modernized). There is everything you need for an extended stay, although we were just passing through.
It's as snug inside as a sailboat, but still very comfortable. It's on the expensive side, IMHO, but the incomparable views off of the spacious deck overlooking the Rogue River make it worth every penny. We bought a bottle of Oregon wine at the Shady Grove market (excellent selection, BTW) and sat out on the deck and enjoyed the sunset.
Lee was promptly there at exactly 9:00 AM with a hearty breakfast (quiche, fruit, toast, cottage cheese, and orange juice. Whew!). Needless to stay we were able to skip lunch that day.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We take great pride in creating something very unique and believe we offer a value like no other local property! With constant upgrades and amenities to the property, not to mention the full hot breakfast served to your door promptly at 9 am each morning! We believe it is a great value and unlike many other properties, we don't charge a cleaning fee that can exceed over $100 and offer competitive pet fees at $10 per stay! Within weeks, the cabin will sport an outdoor hot tub overlooking the river at the current rental rates. We hope to see you again soon!
