Not only does the lodge sit in a perfect setting, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are completely comfortable, clean and spacious. I did not try the restaurant other than a good glass of Pinot Gris and the delicious cheesecake but it practically floats on the lake so the views are lovely. Two asides: There are numerous... More

We routinely stay in a Unique Inn in Ashland OR and like to try others in other areas when we have the opportunity. Unique Inns are upscale, but we appreciated and understood that the Lodge at Suttle Lake would have a rustic quality. The best part for us is that we could take our dog; as a result we had... More

We booked the Winter Get Away Package and got their standard room in the Lodge plus a $50 gift certificate for dinner; all for $300. The room was gorgeous; done in a western style with fireplace and 2 double beds, bathrobes, ceiling fan and a breakfast basket delivered each morning to the room. There was so much food in the... We picked this spot from the internet site because of it's proximity to Suttle Lake (we brought our kayaks), mountain biking, and hiking. We stayed in a newer "lakeside" cabin in which the amenitites were fine and the bed reasonably comfortable; housekeeping was very inconsistent, though largely staff was friendly if uninformed about the area. Unfortuanately, the lake is located... More

The beds are very uncomfortable and the shower is way too small for the high cost of Guard House. It was advertised as a remote site but that only means it's further from the main lodge. It's right next to the highway and there is constant road noise, so it's hardly a remote peaceful setting as one would expect. There... More

The Guard Station is an historic building that is being on Foresty Land we are required to maintain, We do our best to communicate the differences of our historic cabins in person and price them at a lower rate then any of our other cabins. We complete new upgrades on all of the historic cabins each year. I will make... More

Suttle Lake was beautiful and not overly-developed. Sitting on the outdoor porch and looking at the lake was the best experience at the lodge. Our room, we stayed at the main lodge, was also nice and spacious (we stayed in the room with loft) and had a wonderful view of the lake. But, the staff were not welcoming or helpful,... More

I am sorry that you had experienced such a poor level of customer service on multiple levels. Though it is always my goal to turn the corner quickly on staffing issues that effect guests like this, I am sorry that I did not correct this in time for your stay with us. We do have a dynamic new front desk... More

First off, I have to say that unlike some reviewers the highway noise did not bother us and we found the setting to be relaxing, beautiful and tranquil. We also found most of the staff to be extremely kind and friendly even though they were not always able to improve our situation. My main complaint is that this place seems... More

I am not sure where to start, but to say that your experience last summer was beyond unacceptable. And I am personally sorry that I was not able to speak to you in person and handle the problems you faced as well as the manner in which they were addressed by the previous Front Desk Manager. As much as it... More

Went for a family wedding, which was amazing and one of the most beautiful venues in all of Oregon, but..... In the restaurant, there was this extremely RUDE and PRETENTIOUS manager who walked around "puting on a show" for guests, which mainly consisted of belittling people and spouting useless wine knowledge. His shallow attempt to impress people was completely lost,... More

I agree that we are very fortunate to be located on such a beautiful location in Oregon here at The Lodge at Suttle Lake. I believe that this was an event that took place in Sept 2008. This was back before we had obtained and built a strong professional team of managers that is able to 1, staff correctly so... More

From the gorgeous handcarved lodge doors and inviting smell of a warm fire when you enter, to the luxurious rooms and amazing views of Suttle Lake, the Lodge at Suttle Lake exceeded all my expectations. Cynthia (I think that was her name) at the front desk accomodated all my requests and had the New Moon Suite perfectly ready when we... More

We arrived about 20 minutes prior to check-in time and were willing to wait if necessary to check in. But the unpleasant young woman at the desk retreated to the office and shut the door on us! When we booked two days earlier we had been assured that there was plenty of availability and we could upgrade if we wished... More
