The Lodge at Suttle Lake was once an Oregon treasure. The new owners have stripped the lodge of any character or detail that once made this lodge great. They can say this is a 4 star lodge with an Wes Anderson style but the truth is, its a cheap remodel with poor quality food, service, decor and atmosphere. Starting with...

We went the day after Thanksgiving and it was a 3 night minimum. It was my birthday weekend so we decided to go for it even though we really only wanted one or 2 nights at the most. When you walk in there is this Huge Canvas that blocks the beautiful view of the lake. You register at a small...

Have kept an open mind while the new owners work out the glitches, not happened yet. I am not sure what to say, not sure at this time what they are trying to create, however it will be short lived based on my three trips to have a drink, as I am in the area often. The fire tonight was...

My husband and I have stayed at this beautiful lodge several times and were really excited to see it again, now that is has finally reopened. We stopped by last Saturday for a glass of wine and were left speechless! When we walked into the "newly remodeled" lobby, we thought we had been transported back into my husband's OSU fraternity...

after hearing about a new update on this epic lodge, with a highly rated chef, and all the hype written about the new owners etc...I was looking forward to stopping for lunch on the way to Bend. The lodge lobby walls are now painted what looks black, but it in reality a dark blue, very dark. You can get about...

We knew when we booked our stay in early September that the lodge was only just recently open after renovation, so we did expect some hiccups. The setting at Suttle Lake is beautiful, so they definitely have that going for them. When the lodging and dining facilities are all completed, I expect it will be great. They do need to...

We have been staying there for 12 years each year. New ownership bought it about a year ago. It was purchased by owners of a "hip style" in Portland Oregon. I hate to write this review on the remodeling changes to the interior. Totally disappointing! The rooms used to be warn and inviting, cozy beds with wonderful linens and darling...

We visited today after reading the last comment that they are "Opening-soonish". They are now open!! YOU COULD NOT STAY (OR VISIT) IN A MORE BEAUTIFUL SPOT!! Some rooms and cabins are ready for rent. They are almost done with renovations. The kitchen is being moved to a new building down by the lake with outdoor seating, a beer garden,...

I happened into the Lodge at Suttle Lake during a day trip in the area this last weekend, looking for a place to hike. The main access road was closed with a sign "Opening soon-ish". I was only there for a few hours so parked at the day use area and walked around the property while I was looking for...

We put in at the boat launch across the lake from the lodge. It was a calm day out with a couple of boaters and other kayaks. We didn't go to the lodge but it is beautiful and would like to stay the weekend in fall. There was a couple of campers out that weekend and plenty of people at...
