We loved having Long Hollow Ranch as the wedding venue for our son’s wedding. The setting is beautiful and the accommodations were excellent. On the day of the wedding all the girls got ready in the main house. There was music playing, food on the table and plenty of room for 2 makeup artists, 1 hairstylist, 2 photographers, bridesmaids, flower girls and the entire bride tribe to make an event out of “getting ready”. The guys got ready in the house next door. The wedding took place out on the lawn with the beautiful trees forming an arch behind them. The celebration moved into the barn where we ate, drank and danced until the party ended. Larry is a wonderful host and took care of our every need. I’d highly recommend this venue!
Highly recommend! This location is incredibly peaceful and quiet. Larry was very accommodating with our last minute stay and a change needed. Our daughter was able to explore, see working ranch animals and pet some wonderful horses! You will not be disappointed!!
This review is going to be a bit long, so for those who are scanning quickly, here’s the short story: I wholeheartedly recommend Long Hollow Ranch as a wedding venue! It is wonderfully picturesque and the manager is so great to work with. If you want more detail, read on: The grounds and facilities at Long Hollow are beautiful, immaculate, and comfortable. The centerpiece of Long Hollow Ranch is the 100 year old barn which has been beautifully restored. The barn is pre-decorated with some very pretty white lights, including wagon wheel “chandeliers” hanging from the ceiling. We brought in some additional decor, but for the most part the charm was already there! Long Hollow supplies plentiful tables and chairs so there is no need to rent those separately. There is a well-kept lawn right next to the large barn deck, which was mostly in the shade for our 4 p.m. early July wedding thanks to a well-placed row of aspen trees. Our wedding day coincided with a heat wave and I was worried that the temps would negatively affect our celebration, but with the shade and a nice breeze, everyone had a wonderful time. We had both the ceremony and the reception on the lawn, and used the barn to serve food and beverages and then for dancing after the food was put away. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about how comfortable and seamless the ceremony and reception were, and most of that was due to the excellent layout of the Long Hollow facility. Beyond the main space, there is a kitchen with a full sized fridge that can be used either by caterers or if you are handling the food yourself. (There are no cooking appliances, but there is a commercial sink and a large counter space. We used roasting ovens and chafing dishes to keep food warm.) Behind the kitchen are a couple of rooms which work well for the groomsmen to get ready in. Our female attendants used the Homestead House near the barn to prepare themselves, and were able to stay there overnight as well. (See paragraph about renting accommodations.) Larry, the on-site ranch manager at Long Hollow, was so gracious and easy to work with. He is well organized and responds very quickly to emails and phone calls. He was so kind about letting us visit the ranch several times between the day we reserved the venue and the actual event, and was completely available during the wedding weekend. His wife Linda is also a pleasure to work with. A really unique and fantastic option at Long Hollow is to rent the guest room side of the business along with the wedding venue. If you rent the whole place for two nights you get the main ranch house with five charming guest rooms (each with a private bath), the ranch cottage that sleeps four, and the Homestead House which we used to house some of the wedding party. Renting these accommodations cost an additional $2300 dollars for two nights, which is really a bargain when you consider the cost of seven hotel rooms for two nights in Sisters. It turned out to be the best decision! It was so convenient to have our families staying right there, and made for a true weekend reunion rather than just a one-day event. We loved hanging out on the huge porch in the evenings, and early morning walks at Long Hollow were breathtaking as well. All in all, we are so thankful for a beautiful, memorable wedding weekend at Long Hollow!…
We were warmly received by Larry & Linda. The house was clean and our beds very comfortable. There was a bountiful selection of books and games, and we enjoyed sitting on the covered porch. Had a great trail ride and fun visiting all the animals about the property. Everyone was so nice! Definitely would stay again.
Long Hollow Ranch is a beautiful ranch, has spectacular scenery, lovely accommodations, and outstanding customer service. The ranch manager was so helpful, prompt with responding, and so accommodating and helpful with all of our requests. I would highly recommend this ranch!!
The setting and accommodations at the Long Hollow Guest Ranch WILL exceed your expectations. Guaranteed! Totally lovely and restful. Make this a destination get away for your family/friends for truly making lasting memories.
Long Hollow Ranch is both accommodating and helpful! Larry is always available and just so sweet. He really makes you feel at home and like you can ask him for anything! We wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else! The property and houses are just fantastic.
Had a great time with three buddies working on the ranch and fishing. Larry was a pleasure to spend time with and show us around. Caught lots of fish, rode horses, and had a great meal. What else can you ask for?
We had our wedding out at the Ranch and absolutely LOVED getting to have all of the family stay together and have a relaxing weekend. This was the perfect venue for us. The people who own and run the ranch are fantastic. They were very welcoming and very flexible with our needs. They breakfasts served were delicious as well. I only wish we would have stayed a little longer! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
My daughters were excited for the horseback riding. We stayed using the Bed and Breakfast option. Línda makes a awesome breakfast. Larry did a fantastic job assigning horses to everyone’s ability level. In the afternoon, we went hiking (don’t miss Black Butte trail and Rainbow Falls). Very relaxing time. They make you feel like family.
