We are a small family run motel with fifteen spacious rooms. We know that traveling can have you missing the creature comforts of home. That is why we have renovated our rooms and decorated them with care and love, just as we would if it was our own home. We chose a color palette that is pleasing to the eye, comfortable to stay in and feels inviting the moment you step into the room.

Detailed Reviews
From the outside .... nothing special, but our room was fantastic. Recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. Great location, we stayed two nights. 45 minute drive to Crater Lake. The surrounding parks are also wonderful. Close to many activities , lots of rafting rental companies to choose from. Staff was helpful and attentive.

In searching for a location to stay for the night before driving to Crater Lake the next day, Shady Cove is one of the closest, with accommodations (if unable to make your reservation 1 year in advance to stay in Crater Lake).
I can't speak for the other 2 motels in town, but Maple Leaf is the place you want to stay. The proprietors (husband and wife) relocated from Southern CA 12 years ago and have taken great pride in renovating this motel to its current quality.
The rooms are large (2 queens) and with microwave, coffee maker, dorm refrig. They are clean and well cared for. We've stayed in several hotels/motels in our road trip up the Pacific Coast and this is the best location that we've stayed.

Stayed in a 2 bed room last night. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room for such a good rate. As an innkeeper.myself I look for places that make us feel welcome and that' that I would want. To return to. So glad it was as represented on line.

We are just home from our one night stay at the Maple Leaf. Great place to stay in Shady Cove, whether for rafting, traveling or for a wedding, which was our reason. We reserved two rooms side by side for us with 2 little boys, and my parents. The rooms were both clean, and quaint. New mattresses recently and the owner told me she's getting new duvets at the end of the month. There is air conditioning also, which is important this season. Our room was quiet, however the only downside of the motel is that it is right on the road, so a front facing room might be a little noisier. Currently they have two awesome cherry trees with gorgeous big red cherries to eat! We would stay again!

I was in Shady Cove, OR in the beginning of May to conduct business, and stayed at the Maple Leaf Motel. The rooms have been recently upgraded, and had all New queen beds (very comfortable). The owners were extremely hospitable and very friendly! On the motel grounds there is a fenced lawn and barbeque area, which proved very peaceful, relaxing, and convenient. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and family-friendly. Comparatively, the rates were fair, and affordable! There is no doubt that each trip I take to the upper rogue area will be booked with this quaint, quiet, clean motel!

Passed through this summer on our way to Crater Lake. Rooms were updated and clean. Linens were new. Owner-operators were extremely friendly. The price was very affordable, especially given the lack of competition in the area. This motel far exceeded our expectations.

We were pleasantly surprised at the Shady Cove Motel. Check-in was quick and easy, friendly and accommodating. Our upstairs room was large and welcoming and super clean. The family-owned motel appeared to have recently been renovated and they must have put a lot of thought into it, tasteful decor with nice touches. There were plentiful amenities in the bathroom, we slept well in our beds and had no complaints of all. They serve no breakfast but Mac’s Diner overlooking the Rogue river is just down the road and a fun place with good old American style breakfasts.

We were on a trip from Lassen Volcanic NP to Crater Lake NP and needed a place to stay that was near Crater Lake. The Maple Leaf Motel was a nice mom and pop operation in Shady Cove, OR that met our needs perfectly. Property was nicely kept and the rooms were clean and spacious. I would stay here again.
