Beautiful Ocean/Beach Front property. All rooms have coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, gas fireplace as well as DVD players. We also offer kitchenettes. We offer 1, 2 & 3 bedded rooms, 2 & 3 bedded rooms with separate bedrooms for much needed privacy. For your pleasure we offer Continental Breakfast, as well as in-room coffee. You can’t beat the location of this hotel…right on the promenade, you literally walk right out onto the beach. We had a “partial view room” which means the main room with a queen bed looks out into the promenade/ beach but the second room with queen bed has a window that looks inside hallways. Our room was on the first floor underneath the staircase which was dark and dingy, could have used some more lighting. Not sure why they laid some textured wallpaper at the doorway entrance which trapped first and grub and did not look very welcoming. On the flip side, the rooms were very nice and well laid out. Lots of mirrors, 2 TVs, a fireplace, good amount of furniture. Generally very clean except many things were worn and badly needs updating: chips in everything: the sink, tub, toilet, cabinets, walls, corners… nails sticking out of the clothes hangers, windowsill was rusty and mouldy. There was also a permanent stain inside the toilet which freaked out my girls.
Beds were very comfy and feels new, big fluffy pillows, lots of high quality towels. These folks paid attention to many things: towels are nicely pleated, Keurig coffee machine with lots of coffee and tea, bag of salt water taffy in the room, makeup remover, q-tips, a nail file…heck, they even pleated the plastic bag for the ice bucket! Except…they didn’t pay enough attention to the common areas which were dirty and dingy, the pool area was disgusting - mould and rust along all the handrails, bottom 2 feet of tiles around the hot tub was filthy and stained…looked like a back alley garbage dump. Everywhere could have used some better lighting: pool, bottom of stairs by vending machine. Limited contact with staff but check in was easy and staff there were very nice. Overall decent but this place definitely needs some work.

Here's the Pros: great location right off the beach, short walk down the promenade (about 4 blocks) to Broadway which is the main street for shopping, eating & playing. Check-in was fast and the staff were very friendly. There is ample parking so you don't have to park on the street. The room was clean. The kitchenette area had a small fridge, microwave & coffee maker with K-cups provided. The shower had bath gel, shampoo & conditioner dispensers & there were multiple places to put bath/shower items. The best surprise was the shower head which was NOT a low flow version. The room cost is a good value compared to the prices you'll pay at nearby hotels. Here's the Cons: The oceanfront rooms do not have a patio or balcony. You'll hear people along the promenade & coming off the beach talking/shouting at all hours. There is no air conditioning, only a box floor fan. The bed was not comfortable as it was hard & the pillows were flat. The room decor & furniture are dated & worn. The shower is not tall, so if you are over 6 ft tall, you won't be able to stand up to shower. The vanity area is very small. The kitchenette is not supplied with any cups, plates, silverware, napkins, etc. Overall, if you're looking for a place to stay on the beach that is clean & don't care about the decor, bed, furniture or lack of patio/balcony, then this is a good place & a good value to stay at in Seaside.

Loved the location right on the prom. Was happy that partial view actually means one room was facing the ocean. First floor doesn’t see over the sand burm but you do hear the ocean. Unfortunately you also hear a lot of foot traffic on the prom but we still slept well and preferred to be staying so close to the ocean. Room was clean. The queen beds were each in their own room separated by a door offering more privacy than a typical two bed hotel room.

This hotel was our shelter in the storm. We arrived into town with no reservations. The front desk was most helpful and professional. She quickly found us an excellent room. We chose an ocean view room and loved it. Room was very clean and had lots of extras. This included Kcups for coffee, teas, and a little bag of taffy. Our room did not have AC, but we did not need it. We slept with the windows open, listening to the wind blow and waves crash all night. Water pressure in shower good. There were a plethora of clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Breakfast was included in the morning and super popular. There was a rather large number of people with children, so obviously a family-friendly destination. We only got coffee since we were heading out. All in all, 10 out of 10. Thank you, Ebb Tide!

Worst place ever. Smallest TV I have ever seen in a room. The beds are extremely old and uncomfortable. And the worst part is that I was quoted at $125 a night for the room and was told with taxes and everything it was $161 I usually use Expedia to book my trips but the site was freezing up. So I called their booking person directly at EBB Tide and they said no problem we will honor the Expedia price. So I said sweet thank you and they even said on top of that since it’s your first time staying here we will give you an additional 10% off. So I leave this morning and check my charges and they charged me $182 for the room. So when I called to complain they told me that are not honoring the Expedia price and that the room I got was $161 plus taxes and tried to say that I misunderstood that the person who booked my room didn’t say they would honor the Expedia price and told me I was lying. Then when I said fine I will just never stay at your place again because you guys are lying and trying to just scam me for an extra $60 bucks on a room. She replied who cares and hung up on me.

We stayed at the Ebb-Tide to enjoy a walk down memory lane. Both my husband and I visited Seaside during the summers as children. We saw a break in the weather and drove 300 miles to enjoy the beach. Staying in a hotel on the beach with a fabulous view out of our window was a first for us; we were able to enjoy it with our grown son. The front desk staff were friendly and available at all hours. We wanted to build a fire on the beach and the lobby offers bundles of wood and kindling/matches. We purchased two bundles at a fair price and watched the stars, the boats on the horizon, and the waves rolling toward shore. It was a wonderful stay!

We visited the Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn during a busy spring break time and it was still one of the best hotel experiences we've had in years. We picked a dog friendly ground floor room with a kitchenette -- the kitchenette and full refrigerator was enough to cook all our meals for the week in the room, we never ate out once in Seaside. The beds were comfortable and the partial view is actually a really great view, I could see the beach over the dune. There were tons of campfires on the beach during the evening and the room is so close to the beach that we could smell the smorses, it's THAT close to the beach. The pool is open for 45 minute swims, you have to call at 6PM the day before to request a swim time. The swim times do fill up fast and the pool is limited to two families per 45 minute block but it's big enough that it feels safe. The aquarium is right next to the Ebb Tide, if you have kids it's a great quick walk over for cheap entertainment. If you're not dining out there is a Safeway 5 minutes down the road, if you are there are a ton of restaurants with takeout (and dine in options) nearby. The staff was one of the best parts of the vacation, everyone there was so nice and helpful. Overall it's a five star experience, beautiful view and right on the boardwalk. You can't go wrong with the Ebb Tide.

We really enjoyed our stayed here. Great view of the ocean, quiet, easy access to the Prom and easy walk to all of the eateries and shops on Broadway. The older gentleman staffing the breakfast room on week days was by far the best breakfast room staff person we have ever encountered anywhere. He really made us feel welcome!

For the past 22 years we've stayed the last weekend in October in Seaside. The competitor we've always stayed with chose to close for the winter and deny our previously made reservation. When you find a good thing, you're often unwilling to try something else, so we hesitated making a decision about our trip to Seaside. We found the Ebb Tide online and decided to give it a chance. We were absolutely delighted in our choice! We'll never return to the competitor, but will make the Ebb Tide our home in Seaside for the rest of our lives.
The Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn is not the most up-to-date or extravagant lodging in Seaside, but the accommodations are clean, quiet, comfortable, affordable, and the view of the ocean from most rooms is excellent.
Located on the Promenade, the three-story building provides visitors a breakfast, pool and hot tub, ample parking, and easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The staff is young, but friendly and quick to respond to questions and problems.

Ebb Tide has a low physical profile, which for us is desirable. We didn't want to be in a multi-storied, high-rise building. The room's cleanliness was top notch; the bed comforable, the lines perfect. But the substandard condition of the doors to the bathroom, between another room, and the entryway simply need to be replaced. Ditto with the bathroom: The very low toilet with its stained seat and cover as well as the vanity need to be replaced. Those almost negligent features were jarring given that the room was very clean, comforatble, with a brilliant alcove to sit and hang up coats on entry, making it perfect for removing our shoes and outerwear. The fireplace was a welcome feature when we came back at night from our explorations. The proximity to the water was perfect, as was the view from the balcony, where we had fresh coffee in the morning, thanks to the machine and Portland coffee. IF the doors are replace, the bathroom updated, we'd be back in a heartbeat. Otherwise, we won't be back, as there are other beaches with other places to stay along the wild NW coast.
