We did an impromptu trip to Seaside and were able to get a room at the last minute. The hotel was quite accommodating. Our room had a gorgeous partial view of the ocean with gas fireplace, king size bed, jacuzzi and kitchenette. Due to covid-19, the pool was on a reservation only status so we didn't get a chance to use it. also with no continental breakfast, they did a great job at providing some food to go [as seen in the picture].

Hotel sits right on the beach for easy access and ocean view from the room. Most pools are closed due to covid so we thought it was really nice that they let you reserve a 45 min session per day, only 2 families allowed at a time. I feel this is going above and beyond since everywhere else they just simply closed. The front desk has Smores kits available with wood and all the fixings. The property IS dated but was quite clean. I was a little nervous when we 1st pulled up but after interacting with an attentive staff and seeing the cleanliness of the room, I was at ease. They were generous with bath products and anything that you needed. Breakfast was nice considering Covid, they had a good selection of individually wrapped dry and cold items.

We decided to extend our trip on the coast after staying 2 glorious nights in Lincoln City. We should have known better than to stay in Seaside, as it was not the vibe we were going for but that was on us. This was one of the only places in our price point available so we took a gamble. We called to make sure a ground floor room was available and we were assured there was one. Upon booking on site we confirmed again that it would be ground floor however upon checkin we were given a room on the second floor. The gentleman at the desk was not concerned about the error and issued no apology. Bummer... but it actually turned out ok because the only thing that saved the stay was the view of the prom and beach from our filthy window. This room was dirty. As soon as we pushed open the door (yes, we had to push with force to open the door) we were hit with the stench of a musty, cigarette smelly, wierd aroma. The walls, windows and mirrors were filthy. Yes the room is dated, but the lack of cleanliness was the problem. The coffee in room was delicious and the bed was fine. This would be worth the stay if the room was priced in half. Absoulutely not worth the $169. The young lady at the front desk was super charming and pleasant however the other rwo young men were not very pleasant.

Thank you for sharing your comments, we're glad you were pleased with the 2nd floor room location, but are really disappointed your overall stay wasn't more enjoyable. The details you shared about your room and the inconsistent service you received are disheartening to hear about, and we extend our sincere apologies. We hope you'll be back again in the future, we'd love the chance to exceed expectations and make a better impression. Thanks again.

This hotel has a great location. I had a spacious beachfront room with 3 beds (1 in a bedroom), a kitchenette, and a gas fireplace. While the room was a bit old and weathered, the amenities were very nice, such as the fluffy towels and lotions in the bathroom and very comfortable bedding. The only real negative was the noise; you can hear everything from the other rooms, whether it’s kids running back and forth on the floor above or dogs barking. It wasn’t bad enough to keep me awake, but definitely noticeable. The free breakfast was very minimal due to COVID, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. All in all it was a very nice stay.

Here are just a few of the visual problems we encountered on our stay. We were also made to wait an hour after the 4pm check in time & were rudely told, "the check in process STARTS at 4pm until 6pm". While we watched as they checked everyone else in, on time, we checked the policies, there is NO mention of this we could find. The "manager" (not Rachel) had her hands full with another issue where she had made a mistake on their rooms & when she wouldn't/couldn't fix it & they became upset, she told the families they could leave without a cancellation fee (like she was doing them a favor!) if they didn't like it. After waiting an hour, we were finally checked in. On the way up to the room, we couldn't help but notice the lack of maintenance & upkeep, base board by the elevator for example. Then when we got to our room #400 on the 4th floor, we checked out our view, overlooking the roof & vents was the ocean... Immediately we saw something moving on the kitchen counter, ants. So we looked around and noticed the fridge inside was not cleaned, the bathroom sink was not cleaned nor was the jacuzzi tub that we paid extra for. Carpet was not vacuumed, etc... The only saving grace was at check out I asked if there was any consideration for what we had been thru, and fortunately a new face, Rachel, said she was the manager and discounted our bill. I guess the other gal was the manager in Rachel's absence. Please update & repair the building (especially when you charge $200/nite in Aug & peak season). Please check on your staff to see how they treat customers. And if you have a check in policy that STARTS at 4pm & can last til 6pm, please state it in your policies!!!
