We were looking for a room for the wheels and waves car show Sept.11th 2015 The proprietors at the Custer House were perhaps the most pleasant we have dealt with. Room was very clean and affordable. Only concern was the main bed was pretty hard and we would recommend a topper for comfort. Everything else was first rate even though...

The owners are wonderful people, and easy to call friends upon meeting them. They had the fireplace in our room "lit" for us when we arrived, and paid attention to detail. Close to the beach and shops, yet private and unique. It truly felt like we were welcomed in the warmest way, and look forward to returning.

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, and it was just wonderful. The proprietors are lovely people who really went out of their way to help us make the weekend special. They were friendly and talkative without being intrusive, gave us a coupon to a local candy shop, and accommodated every little need we had, even letting...

My wife, our seven week old baby and I spent the weekend in Seaside, with HQ being our Custer House cabin. The owners were pleasant, and they were nice enough to provide gorgeous late September weather for us. We were able to walk to the fun downtown/beach access area, so location was nice. Cabin itself really has potential, but definitely...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Custer House. First, the room was great. Clean, simple and had a TV and bathroom. Second, the B&B is in an excellent location. Very close to the beach, but in the quite part of Seaside. Therefore, you get the best of both worlds. Finally, the owners are fantastic! Very friendly...

My daughter booked the Custer House for two nights for a dance contest my grandaughter was competing in. I admit I was concerned when I saw the other reviews but my daughter said it was $100.00 cheaper per night than anywhere else and it was within walking distance of where we needed to be. You have the choice of staying...

I am here for about 2 weeks in starting the second week in August, 2010 working an event, my employer found the room and booked it for the entire time. My room was in the middle of three cottages walking distance to the grocery store, beaches and all the general promenade activities. The room was brand new remodeled with a...

We didn't expect too much, considering the price and location. But this was a sad little place-we stayed in the house,in the blue Nautical room and Rose Room. The owners were lovely and accomodating but clueless as to what actually constitutes a "bed and breakfast". The Nautical room beds were so hard that I actually slept on the extra pillows on...

I do not agree with the negative comments.posted by others. We stayed in one of the Cottages and found it to be wonderful. The owners were so accommadating for us. Very personable and friendly. I contacted them personally for our reservation and they answered all of my questions and even allowed me to bring my 2 nieces without additional charge....

I booked the room over 2 months in advance. The website calls it a turn of the century Queen Anne home, Romantic room with large private bath and clawfoot tub. Wholesome breakfast served at 9am. We arrive to find that the B&B is closed and we have to stay in a "cabin" which is really a tiny one room kitchenette...
