Nestled on the beachfront, Lanai at the Cove is lauded for its immaculate cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere, with guests frequently commenting on the well-kept rooms and grounds. The rooms, featuring kitchenettes and often admired for their cozy charm and stunning views, though some guests find them slightly outdated with a potential for noise. The hotel's location is celebrated for its ocean proximity, although the shoreline may be rocky.
While the amenities like ocean-view balconies are appreciated, a few visitors have expressed a desire for updates. Nonetheless, the value of the stay is highly regarded, as is the warm service from the staff.

My Wife and I wanted to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary somewhere special, somewhere relaxing. The Lanai at the Cove didn't dissapoint!. If we could give 10 stars we would!, We stayed in room 45 on the 3rd level.
Check-in/check out was flawless, room was super clean, the view and sight and sound of the ocean was relaxing. It's a popular spot for surfers to ride the little waves, so you can watch them from your balcony. My wife and I may have found our annual anniversary spot for now on!.
P.S. Thank you for fulfilling my special request I had, you guys went above and beyond.

Since moving to Seaside in the 1980's, and being a surfer, I had driven and walked past the Lanai so many times but because of it's great location I thought it would be out of my price range...was I surprised when I looked online and realised that it was very reasonably priced, so I treated myself to a birthday stay. The room was fantastic in every way and it came with many small but thoughtful amenities that are often overlooked nowadays, like quality coffee, chocolates on the pillow, and sparkling juice for a birthday treat. The windows were spotless and very effective at silencing the breaking waves, and the kitchenette was perfectly stocked. Even though I still live in Seaside, I will definitely return to "my" oceanfront condo at my favorite spot in town.

We own the business in eastern Oregon and work all the time and very rarely get time away Alone Together however on our anniversary and we make an exception and this is our secret hideaway. You start to unwind immediately. We have a dog we don't feel anxious about bringing our dog the room is nice clean and cozy but not so fancy you're uncomfortable the view is amazing the spotlight makes it so you can see the ocean at night staff is courteous. There are many times we get on the road heading over there and realize we hadn't even called and they go ahead and set us up until we get there they treat us very good we will be back next year. We want to bring mother down there who's 85 it would be easy for her to maneuver the rooms on the bottom floor where she can go outside and she'd still have the view and her little puppy I'd like to thank the staff at Lani at the cove.
We will see you soon

Me and family stayed here for a short trip. They were very accommodating. If you like to surf, the Cove is just steps away. You can open your patio door and hear the sound of the ocean, stay warm while watching the sunset with the fire pits that are provided, or enjoy a dip in the heated pool! The room we stayed was warm and inviting. Bed was comfy! With COVID, they supply disposable plates, bowls and utensils. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing is because the building was built in the 1960s, soundproofing isn’t the best. If you are a light sleeper like me, you might want to bring earplugs or a noise machine. Which I had an app on my phone so it wasn’t an issue, or ask for a top floor unit.

Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely review, we are aware the walls are a bit thin here at Lanai and can be difficult for light sleepers! We always have plenty of earplugs at the front desk free for people who may them. We hope all the positives outweighed the negatives and that we can expect you back in the future!

My first time staying here. I LOVED IT!! I can't wait to go back and am already looking for when I can go again!! I love the location, the quiet end of the Seaside, and love the rooms. It's perfect for two people to have an awesome weekend or weekday getaway. The place was very clean and little special touches, like chocolate on the pillows, was very 'sweet'. And very COVID friendly, I might add. But, do beware that if you are on a lower unit, you can hear the upper floors a bit. To remedy this the room offers ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

We only stayed here for one night, but I wish it was longer! We've stayed at countless places on the Oregon coast over the past 6 years, making multiple trips per year, but this place was definitely the best! The rooms are bigger than the average room, and nicer than most. But more than that, they are very well maintained. I never realized how tired I'd grown of the white textured ceilings until I entered this room and saw that the ceiling was made of beautifully stained wood. The staff were amazing, super friendly, and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. But the best part about Lanai at the Cove is definitely the view as it's closer to the water than any other place. Many places advertise beachfront, and while they technically are, once you step outside and start walking on the beach, it feels like a mile walk down to the water. Not at this place! You open your sliding glass door, step out onto the balcony, and the water is right there! The wife and I slept with the door open all night as it was very soothing to lie there, hearing the waves crashing in all night long. My wife always enjoys our stays at the beach, but this was the first time that she not only told me she wanted to come back to a specific place, but told me during our stay. So it looks like we'll be back very, very soon! And another bonus about this place is that they offer deals during the winter months. I believe they said that they're currently offering a deal where if you buy 2 nights, you get a 3rd night free. And they also said that next month (January 2022), they'll be offering a deal where if you buy 3 nights, you get 2 nights free. This place is awesome, and well worth your stay!

When the mercury hits triple digits inland, the smart ones head for the ocean. So it was on a recent weekend for my wife and me. We contacted the Lanai and reserved a pool view (no view) room for a decent dinner under $200. A lot of money, but it was going to be sooooo HOT!
When we arrived we were told that they had upgraded us to an ocean view room, and what a treat it turned out to be. More studio apartment than hotel room, it had everything you would need for a several day stay except for the groceries, of course.
The deck has two chairs with stands for a frosty beverage. Maybe a pad on the chairs would have been nice, or maybe I shouldn't sit on my ample behind for five hours at a pop. But that's what I did. We watched the would-be surfers and totally enjoyed the sea breeze as it washed over us, banishing home, and hundred-degree heat from our minds.
Seaside is a lovely little town anyway, and a hotel of this undeniable quality can draw us back again and again. Be warned, it does not provide breakfast, but with Pig 'N Pancake just up the road, why would it? Get your crepe on downtown at P'NP, and come back to excellence in lodging courtesy of one of Seaside's finest lodging establishments, if not the undisputed, reigning champion.
If you have been here before, come on back! If you have never tried the Lanai before, get to getting there. You won't be disappointed.

This place is great. The staff was awesome, fun and friendly. When I checked in on Dec. 27th 2020 thru Jan 3,2021 Room # 43. I had a great laugh with the staff. I made a joke about the name of the street (Queets and how you really need to watch spell check on that one) I lived on in Wa. state as I was checking in. The room I had was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The ocean is right outside your door. You can have your coffee on your private balcony, as you are listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. I loved watching the surfers catching the waves. Everything you could possibly need is ready and waiting for you. Due to COVID, they do not offer housekeeping, but if you need anything you can call the front desk, or the Housekeeper and whatever you need will be brought to your room. The kitchenette had a toaster, coffee maker, pots & pans and cooking utensils if you wanted to cook during your stay. They removed the plates, silverware, glasses from the cupboards because of COVID but provided paper plates, paper cups and plastic silverware during these crazy times. Great idea. I appreciate, that they take exceptional safety precautions to keep all of their guests safe. At night time they have outdoor lights shining on the ocean, so you can see the waves. The towels were soft, and fluffy. I really liked, that they had a specific washcloth for washing the makeup off your face. I LOVED the soap (cucumber melon) in the shape of a shell. The only thing I wished they had was a hand bar to make getting into and out of the shower a little easier for those who have mobility issues. They do have a few rooms that are pet friendly as well. I had a great time. You will not be disappointed staying here.

The staff at the Lanai is very friendly and took great care of me as a guest making sure that all of the cleaning and safety things necessary for covid-19 but also still providing a wonderful stay that gave you a sense that everything was right in the world.
Watching the waves break the sunset and seeing Surfers right outside your window makes the Lanai a perfect location just a little outside of downtown. It is my go-to anytime I am there.

This hotel is a hidden gem, in the quiet part of Seaside. We loved our room, with a kitchenette, fireplace and beautiful view of the ocean with a deck. Weather wasn’t so great but it was nice and relaxing to just sit, watch and listen to the waves. Kitchenette was stocked with all the dishes you would need to make a small meal. Our room was clean and you can’t beat the ocean view. Also loved the special touch of chocolates at check in.
Other reviews do state walls are thin snd you can hear your neighbors, that is very true but it didn’t bother us any and right at quiet time it got quiet. They do provide earplugs for you if noise does bug you.
This hotel is definitely a hidden gem and a must visit. We hope to return sometime.
