Inn at the Shore
We absolutely loved this quaint little Inn on the shore in Seaside, Oregon. The rooms were spacious and cozy with a full kitchen. We loved having a balcony with a view of the ocean and the promonade. Everything was in walking distance. It even had a fireplace for when it got chilly at night. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. We highly recommend this inn. Loved our stay and will definitely be returning. Five stars! PS Amadeus was the best!

As my past reviews indicate, we have been staying at this hotel for a number of years with some not so great experiences this year. On this visit we entered a very clean room. We rented unit 201 which was a single room with 2 queen beds. This room has a hardwood type floor with no rugs. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was comfortable. There were plenty of plug ins for electronics. During this time of Covid I would recommend you bring your own bottle of hand soap because they only supply the typical motel bar soap and you may want your own hand sanitizer. We mostly sat on the beds because there were no comfortable sitting chairs in the room.
We did enjoy two meals in the room though because there was a small cafe style table with 2 chairs as well as two plates, bowls, cups, and some basic silverware. We knew the room had a microwave so we brought a couple of home baked potatoes, and some sauteed vegetables we could easily heat and serve with a fresh local crab cocktail from local seafood market and a quick salad from the local market.
We had an amazing breakfast one morning at Osprey Cafe ( just a short walk .....they are closed on Tuesday and maybe Weds so be sure to check on that if you plan to eat there).
The hotel staff was very accomodating when we needed some extra toilet paper and a broom to sweep the sand from entering and exiting the room. We brought a couple of beach chairs, a bundle of firewood, and a bag of marshmallows and easily walked to the beach for a nice sunset fire and marshmallow roast.
We took a little time to meet another guest or two (while waiting in line for breakfast at Osprey) and were disappointed to learn that their ground floor room King bed room 102 had a screen door that did not work. These particular guests had a non verbal special needs child with them so the screen door would have been an important safety feature in our opinion.
IMPORTANT follow up on conditions mentioned in a previous review regarding screen doors on ground level suites: The two larger ground level rooms 103 and 104 have no screen door on the bedroom sliding glass door. If you are traveling with a dog or children this could be important to you. It is my personal feeling that any ground level room should have locking screens on the sliding glass doors for safety and ventilation.

Our second stay here, it’s just a lovely small boutique hotel with a great location and great value. Our first stay we had the two room suite with full kitchen, hard to beat the oceanfront double balcony and full size fridge. We booked later this time and got the ground floor two queen room with jacuzzi...it was lovely!
Comfortable in every way, still has a microwave and mini-fridge and the perfect glassware/utensils to make takeout easy. The tub was great for soaking and the ground floor patio made taking the dog out super easy. Love the doggie welcome basket complete with sheets, towels, bowls and treats.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the location on the quiet end of the prom overlooking Tillamook Head is seriously unbeatable. Efficient and easy WiFi, cable and DVR player and gas fireplace made a rainy afternoon very enjoyable. We are so happy to have had the chance to return here for another rejuvenating weekend.

We paid a premium price for an ocean view & because of Covid, they had our money for the entire stay for over a year, It was also advertised as "the quiet end of the Promenade". Well, it's at the end of the Promenade alright, but by public parking, which from our room was overlooking & slightly to the left. Heavy equipment (a dozer & an excavator) were parked right in front of our room! The lady below us, had no view at all because of it and also complained. It was also a popular dog pooping spot since it was right by the parking. I wouldn't call it quiet...The lady at the desk (apparently the only staff on site) seemed empathetic but was unable to offer a discount , only to give us emails for the city and construction company & let us deal with it, which I'm sure will go nowhere. The hotel in my opinion, should have made it right and then THEY deal with construction people & city. The room itself was comfortable & lovely. The fireplace was working but not needed, the jetted tub was wonderful. Because of Covid there was no housekeeping. There was 1 small wastebasket that you emptied yourself, in a larger container for the floor, which just happened to be outside our room. (not a big deal, but not esthetically pleasing).

So Expedia must have messed up our reservation but when we arrived, after a 3+ hour drive with 3 small children, the front desk tried charging us an additional $120 for a double queen room because we had children with us. She was very unsympathetic and told us it was a “fire hazard.” Apparently for the right price they will accept a “fire hazard.” We had to scramble to find a new place which was not the way we wanted to spend the first of only 3 days we will be spending at the beach. They had larger rooms (which we really didn’t need) and they could have offered us a discount on a larger room or waived the extra free considering we know for sure we input all our info correctly when we booked the reservation. On top of everything, the girl and the front desk was simply unhelpful and unfriendly. She could have at least attempted to remedy the situation. We will NOT be booking here again.

This no-nonsense property perfectly met our family’s needs for our overnight stay at the Coast to celebrate my parent’s 75th birthday. 2 bedrooms/1.5 bath with full ocean view was just what we were looking for. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly & accommodating.
Things to note: there’s no elevator and sofa bed is rather uncomfortable. However the location and value for one night made it tolerable, even with a bad back. I’d certainly consider staying here again, especially during the summer to avoid the massive crowds that are concentrated right in the downtown area. It’s just far enough away, yet only a few minutes drive or longer walk to get to where all the action is!

Arrived at the Inn early and they allowed us to check in. The young lady at the desk welcomed us warmly and was very accommodating. The room provided an incredible view of the ocean through a large window. We were less than a quarter of a mile from the water. We also looked down on the Prominade below the window. The bathtub was jetted. The room had a king size bed, a gas fireplace and a large large flat screen 📺 TV. Overall, we were pleased with all aspects of the accommodations and will visit again.

After 30 years going to Cannon beach, we decided to stay in Seaside to get a beach front place that did not break the bank. We picked Inn at the Shore based on its location at the end of the promenade, ocean view and kitchen. We had a 2 br second floor unit facing the ocean. Location was quiet, view was great. Amazing fall weather meant we used the balcony. Room even had gas fireplace. I was a bit worried by its 2 star rating, but honestly, this is a pretty standard condo. The only issue was that you could hear people upstairs walking around. You could not hear any voices though which is a plus. We will definitely return.

We reserved a 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom unit to accommodate 4 people and a dog for one night and just 2 people for 2 more nights. We found the kitchenette to be expectedly small but the refrigerator was dented in many places, the kitchen sink measured 12”x10”x5”- so about the size of an airplane lavatory sink. This would have been doable but the dishwasher had an “out of service” sign on it so we had to do all dishes by hand. No apologies or heads up by check-in staff. The toilet seats were so loose we had to ask to have them tightened. The place completely lacked ambiance and lacked basic maintenance (rusty baseboard heaters, dingy floors, small uncomfortable sofa, very little seating). The bed was not comfortable. We were in a ground level room so no privacy and very little ocean view for our nearly $800 stay for 3 nights. I would never stay here again.

We have been coming since our honeymoon in 2014. We only missed one year, 2023 because we got a puppy vs making our annual beach trip. We’ve seen the room change over the years but I have to say this latest change seems like a blank slate. There is little to no decor/artwork anymore, the mantels were removed over the fireplace and now there is nothing, it just doesn’t feel as relaxing and inviting anymore. Also, the jetted tub is a perk to the room, but sometime in the past few years none of the buttons or knobs work anymore. The tub itself is looking rough and honestly needs to be headed for retirement. The pet fees are more expensive than the actual humans staying too. If we can’t have all of our dogs join next year, we will definitely be looking for a new place for our future anniversary trips. Our dogs in three days were better mannered and quieter than the current dog above us was in two hours of being there! It’s a nice place but it’s very much lacking anything that makes it stand out anymore.

Wow, I'm not sure what to tell you. I would try calling their direct number again. The lady in the office was super helpful when I was there.
They are very pet friendly. Our room, 1st floor jacuzzi suite, even had a dog drawer in the dresser. They supplied a large, well-used, very clean towel (ocean+dog = wet dog) and a ceramic doggy dish. They also checked to see if we needed anything about once a day. We booked over the phone, not on their website.
I think that all the rooms on the west (ocean) side have views of the ocean. Upper floors are better views, but involve stairs. We were on the ground floor (rm. 102) and could see the ocean by looking through the sliding glass doors, but the low dunes obscure the beach where the water meets the sand. Upper floors can see the surf meeting the sand. I would have picked an upper, but have a breathing problem and don't do stairs well. My sons had 2nd floor rooms and I went up there for a lunch and to visit and the view was beyond spectacular.
I hope this helps.
2nd and third floor full ocean view rooms will have great views..
