Detailed Reviews
This is such a cute property right in the heart of Seaside. You can park your car for the duration of your stay and walk just about anywhere you need to go. The rooms are cute, some a little retro and very clean. They even have a tub of goodies waiting for you to munch on during your stay. We had a small mix up with the room we selected and I was a little worried how we would rectify it. I had no reason to worry at all! We dealt with 3 different ladies (I wish now that I had all their names) and every one of them was LOVELY! They were so nice and so apologetic about the room mix up and gave us a couple of very acceptable options to fix it. We couldn't be happier with our stay :-) They will definitely be the first property we check out for our next stay.

We have been staying here every year for many years during our annual Easter weekend in Seaside, it is a great location to the beach(about a block away), the rooms are always clean & since we book a family room there is a small kitchenette, a hide a bed in the living room area, and, a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds.
There are movies & games available to use, and, snacks, coffee & other beverages available in the office anytime, we love the popcorn!
The lady who runs the motel is AWESOME, her name is Ruth and she puts on an Easter egg hunt every year for the kids staying at the motel, she even gave our grandson a special gift, we look forward to returning to Hillcrest Inn every year!

We needed a last minute reservation for the next night and ran across this hotel online. DO NOT let the weathered exterior of this vintage building fool you because the room was as nice (or nicer) than other places we stayed in a week on the Oregon Coast. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfy, fixtures appear to be recently upgraded, shower stall w/massage wand was a welcome addition and there was even a fireplace. All this for half the cost of other hotels we looked at. The staff was friendly and helpful, and to say I’d stay here again is a huge understatement. Best of all, it’s a scant two blocks from the Seaside Promenade!

Room Tip: The only downside here is no elevator but the staff happily helped carry our luggage upstairs.

Our family of 5 stayed here for Easter weekend for the 2nd year & look forward to returning again next year, they had an Easter egg hunt that my grandson really loved! The people working here are all FANTASTIC!
We stayed in a mini suite room again(same one we had last yr) and really enjoyed it, nice to have lots of space and having the mini fridge & microwave was very useful, the room also has a stovetop but we didn't use it, also lots of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc.
The location is perfect for spending time at the beach, it is only about a block away.
We will definitely be staying here again for our annual Easter getaway, hoping to stay in one of the cabins next year!

Thank you, Ruth, Ashley and staff for your warm welcome, clean resort and overall hospitality. We had a change to our trip schedule that allowed us to book last minute for a trip to the coast. Lucky us that there was availability here! We so enjoyed chatting with Ruth and were impressed with how hard she worked to keep people safe during Covid while connecting with guests. Extra touches like snacks in the office and beach toys and blankets to borrow were appreciated! Thanks for making Logan’s first trip to the coast such a beautiful memory. He told us he wants to live there when he grows up. ;) We are already dreaming of another trip to the PNW.

We traveled to Seaside for a family party, and rates were $400 and up for a room; there was a large volleyball tournament that weekend. The Hillcrest Inn had a vacancy, and the room was $452 for 2 nights. This hotel is a block from the Prom on first, so it is convenient to the beach, restaurants and shops. We were welcomed on arrival and were treated beautifully throughout the stay. The first night we strolled around a bit and got a little lost. The desk clerk saw us and came out to direct us back. On our way home, we got a call that they found a hat behind the refrigerator. The same desk clerk said she would mail it to us! We had a secure parking spot on this incredibly busy weekend. The room was average sized with coffee maker, refrigerator and a microwave. The air conditioner was so effective, we had to keep it set to 72 to keep from being cold. There was great water pressure, plenty of hot water and ample towels. I highly recommend this homey jewel in a busy beach town!

My son just returned from a Spring Break trip down to California with three of his buddies. One of his friend’s Dad had made reservations for them to stay at the Hillcrest Inn there the first night, under the son’s name. Unfortunately, because the young men were 18, the clerk would not let them sign in for their rooms. It was 8:30 in the evening. One of the young men in this group is enlistingto join the Marines. After being turned away, my friend and his buddies drove for a few more hours then slept in their car in a pull out area by the ocean. This is the only motel on their itinerary (for which they had reservations every night) that would not let them sign in.

This is a fantastic little Inn with superior people running it. They really are fantastic. The location is a short walk to everything in the 'tourist area'. The rooms are nice. Parking was good; which is often a difficulty at any beach. My sister also stayed here at same time, she told me how pleased they were with this Inn. If we return for a stay in Seaside it is certain we will stay at the Hillcrest Inn.

Love it in Seaside. The staff at Hilcrest Inn do all they can to make this relaxing and do leave you alone unless you are in need. Will again next year for 5 out of 6 years. Thanks to all staff and Ruth for making this a great stay. Like the layed back atmosphere. Lots of shops and eateries. near buy, walking distance. The beach is 2 blocks away and so is the aquarium. Thanks again see you next year..

Walkable to the ocean, which is probably why you're here in the first place. The tub was a nice luxury for an all around good value stay. If you ask nicely and arrange for it, they may be able to accommodate plugging an EV into a standard 120V plug for a nice bit of bonus range.
