This was a clean and sparse hotel but a great stay! No conditioner, but oh well! I was pleasantly surprised! Easy checking and not busy. Quiet and near all the things you need. It is a must to rent the room with the jacuzzi tub, it fits 2 people perfectly and we brought our own bubbles to better the experience. The room had a little smell upon entering but was quickly fixed after opening the window and sliding door. If you are thinking of booking here for 2 people you may need to ask for additional towels for your stay. The location was so perfect and within 5 mins from everything you could possibly want to visit.

Coast River Inn was the most careful hotel we stayed at while moving from Denver to Seattle during the pandemic. Their precautions are not a nuisance, and instead, incredible safe and caring. Room was clean, quiet, and spacious. I needed to extend my room to include another bed about a week before we left, and they did so at no charge. Easy walk to the shore, and to the downtown area. I will definitely be staying here again!

The location of this hotel was good, only about half a mile walk to the beach and close to Safeway, Starbucks, etc.
It was filthy though. Our garbage wasn’t changed from the previous guests and had used condoms and stinky food in it. The dishes had old dried food on them and we were left with a moldy sponge to do our dishes with. The kitchen cabinets also had food splattered on them and there was stuff left in the fridge from previous guests? Seems like the housekeeper just came in to change out the linens (hopefully) and left.
We notified the front desk of our findings and were told they were sending housekeeping to clean our room and they never showed.

If you're looking for a clean, nice room where you can drop your stuff and go exploring Seaside and neighboring areas then Coast River Inn is your place. No pool or gift shop, but very nice beds. Did I say the rooms are clean? If you like to do your own meal prep then get a room with a kitchenette which has a stove top, good sized fridge, microwave, no oven. Seaside is usually cool and there is no AC in CRI rooms, but the window opens wide (3 inches was enough for us in July) and the neighborhood is quiet. This facility is a few short blocks from the beach, easily walked. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Was a clean quiet place close to Beach and downtown. Rooms were large and you could not hear next door noise. By river with rooms that view it. Quiet and peaceful area to enjoy with family. Close beach access and lots of parking in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. would stay again.

We had stayed at this place the year before, so rebooked based on our first pleasant experience. It’s nothing special, but it’s a good location. This time, we booked the room about four months in advance, so it wasn’t a last minute booking by any means.
Day of the trip down to Seaside, we get a call about 30 minutes before we’re scheduled to arrive telling us that the booking had been canceled. Imagine our shock and disappointment at being dumped at the last minute just before arriving, forcing us to rebook at another hotel which cost us an additional $350.
In a strange twist, the hotel manager called us about two hours later to see if we were still planning to arrive!!! I explained to her that the corporate office had both emailed and called us to cancel and we were forced to book another hotel last minute. The manager was apologetic but offered no compensation. I may seek the difference in our costs in small claims…how deceptive and disorganized a company must be to pull this trick on its customers (I’m sure it’s happened repeatedly).
Avoid this hotel at all costs, their tactics seem really dodgy to me; and if they even attempt to charge me for my room, I will be seeking more that just my hotel fare back from them.

I made reservations months ago before the holiday summer rate hike through Expedia for June 4, 2022 and July 3, 2022 to July 5, 2022. Both reservations were cancelled by Oyo Coast River Inn without informing Expedia or me. I called the OYo Coast River Inn one week before the first reservation to confirm and was told my reservations were cancelled without any explanation. I had to contact Expedia who confirmed my reservation and called the hotel. The hotel told Expedia there were no rooms available and the reservation was cancelled. Neither the hotel or Expedia did anything to fix the issue. I can't imagine how it would feel to show up and not have a place to stay. My family could have been stranded there without a place to stay on a holiday weekend. Such a nightmare experience.

I value cleanliness, safety, location and price most in hotel accommodation. This Inn exceeded my personal needs. I stayed in one of the townhouse units which had 3-4 rooms (forgot exactly since I didn’t use the upstairs much during my stay). There were two living rooms, kitchen, closets bigger than a NYC apartment. I was absolutely most thrilled with the location. It’s one street offset from the main traffic road, walkable to the beach and to the downtown shops and restaurants. I would recommend this Inn to anyone on a budget and a townhouse for a large family. Some reviews have noted negative on the windows. In my unit, I did confirm windows were clear to view out but mirrored and unable to view in. Privacy was maintained even when curtains weren’t drawn. I experienced very friendly staff on check in and checkout. I was also pleased with cleanliness and adherence to Covid protocols. My particular unit had a single stair step to entry and a second level. Keep this in mind if you have need for wheelchair accessibility. I will refer to photos to show the furnishings. Please note that I took the photos after using some rooms. I found them to be very appropriate for this unit and price. Everything was clean and comfortable.

We stayed three nights at the Coast River Inn. We had a king room with a kitchen and a river view. The price was very reasonable. This is an older hotel which they have tried to update. Part of that was using very bright colors which we weren’t particularly a fan of.
The room is quite large and felt spacious. There was an older arm chair to sit in although the arms were not so comfortable as they were wooden. Overall we were happy with our stay, but there were a few concerns. First the hot water is too hot. We had to be careful turning it on alone. Secondly there were no available outlets near the bed. Using a C-pap becomes challenging. There are outlets around the room, however, so we could plug in our devices.
One concern was a lack of information in the room. No map to show where ice could be found, no information on check out time, and no information about the TV. The last was a big issue.The one piece of information we did have was a list of TV channels. However we could not find them. There were lots of apps. There was free TV which didn’t have the channels listed on the card. Finally on our last night we found the app we used at home and logged in. Just remember to log out or others may use it later.
The hotel is an easy walk to the boardwalk and downtown. The staff was generally friendly and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
