Everything was wonderful. The location is fabulous & the views were incredible. The unit was larger than I thought it would be with one main bedroom and a Murphy bed in the living area so it accommodates 4 people nicely & then the sofa also had a hide-a-bed for two more if needed. The two bathrooms, flooring, furniture & carpeting are all nicely done. The unit was very quiet & clean too. We will definitely request this unit again next time. The condos are in an old building and the unit we had, #405, although partially updated, still needs a kitchen remodel but definitely should not deter from staying here.
The room is large and nicely equipped, but some of the furniture and decor was sadly outdated. The recliner was torn and scuffed and the bar stools looked like they were purchased in 1983. Jacques Cousteau books from before I was born (1973) were in the closet and judging from the dust, hadn't been read in years. However, the view was amazing. We stayed in room 404 and our balcony was nice overlooking the ocean. The coffee pot died mid-week and it took 24 hours before it was replaced. A cable repairman came mid-day and we were told we had to stay there with him during the repair, when we planned on leaving at that exact time. We were notified he would be coming in advance when we checked in, but he was late and we weren't told we'd have to stay with him while he did the repair until he showed up. My family left to the Aquarium without me and 20 minutes later I caught up. This was all to fix a bedroom TV we never even turned on. Then, there was a young maintenance man who was cursing and chatting with some girl, but apparently he wasn't actually employed by the managers of the unit we were staying in, but rather he was the "building" maintenance man. Some units are owned, some are long-term renters and some are vacation rentals, which creates a strange dichotomy of management and noise. Finally, Wednesday night someone in another unit lit up a joint and marijuana smoke seeped in through our condo. It was like a skunk sprayed in our bathroom. We called about the smoke and the coffee pot, but there was no sense of urgency for either complaint. This was supposed to be a pet free/smoke free building, but I observed a small dog go into one unit and of course one tenant thought pot wasn't smoking. lol We would definitely not stay in this condo again. However, despite the bad events, the condo was equipped with all the utensils, plates, cups, etc you would want in a kitchen. There weren't enough towels for 6 people for 5 nights (but it's advertised as ready for 8) but the fridge, microwave and oven all worked great. The elevator however was very, very slow. The little annoying things just added up. BUT, We came for the ocean though and we chose to be happy no matter what the circumstance. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, but left feeling like management didn't really make us a priority and that there were too many "little" things that were wrong. This is our third time to Seaside (stayed at Best Western and Shilo before) and we'll be back, but we'll try another property next time perhaps with a different management company. The Best Western hotel was better - but it was sold out. If you find a good condo in Seaside and read this review, then please reply and let me know where!…
Condo was a bait n switch. Not like pictures. Pictures said there was a fireplace which was one of my must haves since we were going in March. No fireplace. Furniture was from a thrift store and broken. Condo advertised could sleep 6 but could not as the broken down filthy hide a bed blew springs as I took it out of the sofa and would not hold a child. Could not sit on couch it was broken. Owners should be embarrassed that they charge $200/night and can’t use half of the Furniture. The condo is completely outdated but would be acceptable given the current rental rates if they at least bought some decent furniture for guests to sit and sleep on. Shame on the rental agency for allowing people to rent this and have not enough places to sleep for the guests they advertised
Stayed on the 4th floor, view was absolutely gorgeous. Nice one bed, two bath with murphy bed and sofa sleeper. Kitchen was well equipped, everything we needed. Decorated very nice, comfortable, games, TV in each room. Did not play games or watch the TV, the sounds and sights of the ocean is what I came here for. My friend stayed in the bedroom, I stayed out in the living room on the sofa sleeper so I could leave the sliding glass door open and listen to the waves all night long. Nice balcony to have coffee on in the morning and take in more of the oceans beauty. Close to everything....will definitely stay here again !
Starting with our interactions with Jo at the rental office, who is a lovely person and very welcoming and helpful, everything about our vacation at the Seaside Beach Club condos was delightful. Condo 408 has the fantastic view one would expect from a fourth floor corner unit. It has also been furnished with care. The décor is beautiful and elegant, with tasteful color choices, attractive paintings and really nice decorations. Unlike most accommodations at Seaside, the furniture is substantial and comfortable. The bamboo miniblinds let in the light and allow you to see the sea. The owners really went all out to provide everything people could possibly need or want in the areas of kitchen and bathroom supplies. Nice dishes and silverware, too! There are plenty of blankets and pillows and even two fans for the rare hot days at the coast. The bedroom is particularly charming, a peaceful retreat. My husband and I slept on the Murphy bed because we wanted to hear the ocean, and it is right next to the glass doors opening onto the enormous balcony. It has a good firm mattress. Light reading, board games, this condo has it all. The building itself has thick enough walls between units that we never heard a peep of noise in four days. Because of the cancellation policy I have been reluctant to reserve far in advance, but it turned out so perfect that I hope to be able to get this marvelous condo again next summer, I hope for a longer stay.…
We have frequently stayed at the Seaside Beach Club since it opened many years ago. Now they have added an enormous cleaning fee and reservation fees etc. There is also no manager onsite and the outside is unattractive and unkempt on the elevator side. We left an iphone cord and when we asked them to send it, they said it would be $25. The room was nice and the location is superior, but we do not want to return because of the fees, lack of onsite manager and condition of the outside.
Clean and spaces two bed two bath room apartment. Kitchen is well equipped. Lots of towels and blankets. Board and cards games in the living room was a huge plus! Very close to Turnaround Point and aquarium. Two TVs with full cable and wifi. Owners have a great personal touch!
It was great..view is fantastic..great places to eat..or cook your own food..I love it and want to return as often as I can.we went on down the coast..breath taking views..it's is highly recommended..
The room was clean a cozy. Kitchen was well stocked, we got to dig clams on Saturday and the kitchen had everything to make clam chowder the same day, delicious, thank you Jesus. Leaving the balcony door open so we could listen to the serf and the intermittent passing humans on the promenade. And within walking distance of all the fun stuff Seaside has to offer. great place and a reasonable price so we are hoping to go back.
This place is really comfortable. Have been staying there in excess of 25 years. Consistent, clean, great view of the beach, promenade, walk to Broadway. Close to everything. Spacious, two baths, full kitchen, etc. Our place to stay in Seaside. R
