My boyfriend and I stayed one night at the Seaside during our visit to the Oregon and Seattle area. We arrived early so our room was not ready, but the front desk attendant made a few lunch suggestions and offered to call us when our room was ready. The hotel is on the promenade so you can walk everywhere. After lunch at Sam’s we returned to the hotel and our room was ready. A prior guest had broken the chairs so the front desk let us know that she had to replace them with metal chairs. Not ideal, but this is a small quaint hotel so we understood this was all she could do at that time and it didn’t damper our stay. Due to covid safety measures, we were given a coffee “package” to make coffee in our room. The attendant also made some great suggestions for dinner as well as where we could go to watch the sunset. We were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous view. The bed was comfortable, and the shower and jacuzzi tub relaxing. This hotel is a typically beach side hotel and exactly what we were looking for: comfortable, nice views, walkable at a good price.

We really needed a quick trip to the beach with our 17-year-old. We wanted separate bedrooms, space for everyone, and 2 bathrooms if possible. We did not want to spend a lot of money and did not need an ocean view. The Ocean Song suite in the older building was clean with an updated bathroom upstairs, 1/2 bath downstairs, good beds, and even an electric fireplace. It was a very short walk to the beach. It was perfect for us with the large living room. Staff was pleasant and helpful and we would stay here again in a minute. But it is important to know that it is older and does not have an ocean view or direct access to the beach. It is not in the main new building, but a smaller building behind with the office and one other unit. The hotel was very clear that this was the case.

We stayed in a great room facing the water. It was a gorgeous view. The room was clean and featured a whirlpool tub and fireplace. We had a great time in the area and walked down to the beach and picked up about 10 sand dollars. I would recommend couples for sure, though we would come back with family as well. Parking was limited and even though we had a spot, they were tight spots and we ended up having someone park in the small spot next to use and one of us had to climb in the passengers door to get the car out.

This hotel uses bate and switch. They show photos of a newer building and great access to the promenade. We were put in old building in the back of the office with a parking lot on both sides. No central air conditioning or heat. Cub Cadet wall heaters and freestanding air conditioner with a hose out the window. Rugs upstairs were very dirty. When I complained when we were taken to the room the manager said we could check out is we wanted to. I called around and could not find 2 rooms for 4 adults after4 pm for same day. Emailed and called with only rude response and told not to call again. This building was old and not what I paid for or booked.$450.00 for 1 night

Room Tip: Bate and switch. Make sure you request building in the photos. Not building attached to office.

It all started off bad when we first arrived. After a long day's drive, there was no one to check us in - at a reasonable 5 pm. We left a message to call us back and checked out the town. An hour later no one had called. It required a second call on our part to even get someone to let us in to our room. No apologies. Very unprofessional. If you decide to book an ocean view room, be aware if you don't request a high floor on the ocean view, in advance, you will be able to wave at all the people on the promenade and will greatly suffer from the noise of diners downstairs. They don't even have top/down blinds that allow you to enjoy the view from the top while allowing privacy from the bottom. So, we were stuck. We were offered the "opportunity" to PAY for the higher rate to their "suite" - not even discounted as a gesture of good will. So, they let another room go empty just to keep us in our place. For the room itself, the carpet was filthy. And in looking at another reviewer's issue that room would likely have been a disaster because of all the things she outlined regarding cleanliness. Unlike the other reviewer though, our interaction with Wendy, the manager, was horrendous. She did listen to our issues and said she would call us after a review of our situation. Almost a week later I called because I had not heard. I left a message and that was not returned. Finally, my second call was returned and she not very politely told me there was nothing she would do regarding an adjustment after the fact, right before she hung up on me. She claimed to want guests to feel special. Well, they failed. The view is nice but that is a review of mother nature.
