Mountain delights, greet you with open arms at the Sandy Salmon B & B Lodge! Experience the panoramic views of the rippling rivers as you relax on either your room's private deck or the Lodge's deck. Feel the fresh air while strolling the walking trails, or seated at the rivers edge. Indoors you may want to cozy up to one of the two fireplaces, play pool in the game room or watch a movie on the large screen TV in the theater room. Whatever activity you choose, a selection of snacks & beverages are always available for your refreshment. Private or family style breakfasts usually consist of three courses, featuring items such as French toast, Waffles, Crepes, etc. We look forward to hosting your next getaway at the Sandy Salmon Bed & Breakfast!
We only stayed over here because of location. Last minute decision when we flew into Portland in route to Bend Oregon. Wanted to stay out of the city and this was right on the route over scenic Mt Hood. We came in after dark and awoke to this perfectly kept, beautiful lodge right where the Salmon and Sandy Rivers merge AND amazing breakfast with the lightest, best waffles you could ever imagine. Next time we will bring waders, fly poles, reading hammock and stay for at least a week.
I was very impressed by this place. My wife and I went here on our wedding night. I had never been here before but when I walked in I could not help myself but soak in the scenery. This log cabin, built by the owner, is a wonderful piece of art. The entire inside of the log cabin is decked out with decorations and makes you feel that you are in a cabin in the woods...which you are! Right as you enter the front door, you meet an indoor pond with Coy fish, which I thought was pretty neat.
This B & B is by the highway, but because the property is large and the rivers (Sandy river and Salmon river) are right by the B & B, you feel as if you are tucked away, far from all roads.
The location is fantastic and convenient, the cabin is beautiful, the owners are extremely kind, and the food is wonderful. My wife and I were catered to with a vegan and vegetarian FEAST when we woke up in the morning. We were even asked when we wanted to eat, rather than "be here at this time".
I could go on and on about how great this place is, but you will just have to find out for yourself! Enjoy! 10/10 would recommend.
We stayed in the Fishing Hole room...and the river was a roarin'!
We loved this place and cannot say enough good things about it. Hospitality, elegance, spectacular Oregon scenery. Over the top! Highly recommend it and hope we can come back.
Thank you Maggie and Jerry.

The location of the Sandy Salmon is great if you are going to Mount Hood or hiking - there are beautiful trails all around and the Sandy Salmon is on a main road which is very convenient. The grounds and the house are absolutely beautiful - one of the prettiest log homes I have seen. The 5 acre lot overlooks the intersection of two rivers and there are chairs set up next to the river to sit and relax or fish. We stayed in the Fishing Hole room which was the perfect size for two people and the balcony overlooked the rivers. We slept with the door open to hear the water all night. The hosts couldn't have been nicer and the breakfast was amazing. There was a very nice theater room and also a pool table. We would have loved to have stayed longer!

Spent 4 nights at Sandy Salmon. What an amazing place! Maggie and Jerry are an amazing couple. Their home is very welcoming warm and is open to their guests with very clean rooms and absolutely delicious breakfasts made by Maggie. Their house is a work of art and a delight to just sit in the living room and look out the window. What great hosts! Jerry also let me feed the fish in the beautiful in-ground aquarium. My wife and I had a wonderful vacation at Sandy Salmon and if ever in the area, Maggie and Jerry's home will be the only place in which we will stay. Thank you so much Maggie and Jerry and Blessings to you both Pierre and Barb A.

I stayed one night during a solo road trip in September 2018. Sandy Salmon B&B is a wonderful find on the shoulder of Mt Hood. An authentic mountain lodge at the confluence of the Sandy and Salmon rivers. The views of the rivers from the back deck are magnificent and the sounds of the water will rock you to sleep at night. Jerry and Maggie are attentive hosts, offering local dining suggestions and cooking a hearty breakfast in the morning. You will feel like family when you visit. The rooms are finished in rustic but high comfort style, I stayed in the "Fishing Hole" room at the back of the house and had peace and quiet, especially enjoyed reading on my lighted shaded private balcony. The main house boasts a game room including a pool table. Highly recommended for solos and couples, whether seeking a romantic getaway or just a quiet and comfortable stay. I will certainly call again if I am back in this corner of the world.…

After a few nights of "rough" accommodations at an Airbnb near Mt. Hood, the Sandy Salmon was absolute heaven. The lodge is beautiful and the grounds pristine. Jerry and Maggie were perfect hosts. Very good people. Breakfast was the best we had without question while in Portland and the surrounding area. We visited the nearby trout farm and without even asking, Maggie offered to cook up our catch for breakfast the next morning. My daughter left some items in her room and with a quick call and 2 days all was neatly packaged and returned to our home hassle free. It's hard to get better than this...anywhere. And oh, Sandy is a nice little town too.

Go for it! Sit on those red Adirondacks! Stunning views from everywhere in their house and outside. Really beautiful. Their kitchen is gorgeous and the wood details are spectacular. The pool table alone is a fantastic piece. Gerry is an avid hunter displaying his kill so I can understand another's comment if you can't stomach mounted animals. Maggie's breakfast was delicious and several courses. Quite filling and yummy. I also agree with another commentor that the fishing room (juniper) is on the smaller side. There is a larger option, one with balcony and one with bay windows. I agree that the hosts are very friendly, open to sharing their knowledge of the area and help out. We did feel the breakfast time was not up for debate but it's understandable since you eat with the hosts and it would be difficult to prepare each course several times for themselves, and any number of guests. We would definitely return.…

The view of the two converging rivers from our room was absolutely beautiful! The hosts made us feel like family and the "cabin" was immaculate! There is a nice path down to the water, and a wonderful fish pond in the entryway of the home. There is also a gorgeous huge stone fireplace in the common room. We were passing through on business but it felt like a cabin vacation get-away. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool table and theater so we Will definitely stay again!

This is a place where you can just kick back and watch the river. It is located in a forest next to the road.. However we could not see or hear the road from our room. It is located on a bluff that is 80 feet above the confluence of the Sandy and Salmon rivers. It is a short drive to Mt. Hood and Timberline lodge. In the area are some hiking trails. We just enjoyed being there. Breakfast was great and the hospitality could not be beat. The lodge has 4 rooms I think but we were the only ones there. Our room had a balcony overlooking the rivers (Fishing hole room) I would absolutely recommend it if yoiu want a place to just relax and do nothing. Has a large common room with fireplace. Good for couples.
