I booked this hotel through a third party site. After reading the reviews on how dirty the rooms were I cancelled the reservation (1 hour tops between booking and cancellation). After my trip ended I was charged a No Show charge because they stated that the reservation wasn't canceled. Instead of being reasonable (as I stayed in another Choice Hotels hotel during those same dates) they are not willing to issue a refund. The third part site states that the cancellation number they received was generated from the hotel and Choice Hotels system. Both Choice Hotels and the local Quality Inn are not accepting responsibility for the cancellation code that is generated from their system. Be mindful and give your business elsewhere.
We took our kids to Roseburg so we could visit wild life safari and stayed here for 2 nights. We booked a suite to make it special for them. When we checked in I gave the guy my ID and debit card and he said he found my reservation then asked to see my American express card that I paid with, I told him that I didn't have one and that's not mine. After 20 minutes of him checking things and assuring me he had us in with the right reservation he told me we had there nicest room. We were in our room unpacking when strangers walked in and claimed it was there room, so my husband went to the office and the guy said he booked the other couple wrong and gave us new keys. Then going to dinner none of our keys worked, we then had to get new ones. We were assured everything was good. At 11pm that night someone started banging on our door and the same guy claimed we needed to come to the office to sort things out. My husband went and finally dealt with someone new, where they told us we were not I the suite we had booked, our address and card had been put on someone else's reservation and in the morning we could move to our real room. This was a huge inconvenience for our trip, going to the office multiple times and then having to switch rooms with 5 kids under 10. And the only thing we were given for our trouble was $40, the difference between the rooms. We were told by the owner that there was nothing they could do for us. And the excuse given for the huge mix up, "oh that guy only works nights" Extremely unprofessional except for the girl in the office that helped us.…
On a one to 10 scale it was a 2. The toilet was backed up beyond the trap so a plunger was no use ( we tried). Wall outlets were so worn out a phone charger would not stay plugged in in any accessible outlet. We unplugged the TV to use its outlet that was not worn out. Cabinet doors were broken, lamp shades were cracked, lamps would not stay plugged in due to worn out wall outlets. Two lamps were missing or burned out. Shower stall wall was cracked and had bare metal screws holding it in place. The beds were nice. Access cards were not programmed correctly and had to get new cards made. Asked for a room with direct access from car to door due to large amount of luggage, so they gave us a room above a retaining wall with a 100ft long railing and no stairs near by.
We arrived after 10 pm to a very welcoming front office staff. Kind costumer care, courteous and helpful. Anticipated everyone possible need. Exceeds expectations. Overall 10/10 would recommend staying here.
Super disappointed. Had to stand outside and wait to check in...outside in under 40° Temps (not too cold but not welcoming). Room is dirty. Kids took off their shoes and had black feet within 10 minutes. Shower curtain isn't just worn, which is fine, but looks filthy. My husband used a towel to go over the floor and it is disgusting. We are not super worried about covid stuff but this place is far from clean. Will DEFINITELY pass this place up next time.
