The fine buiding is situated in a beautiful area with rivers, waterfalls, forests and small canyons. It is about 35 miles from the Crater Lake. No much alternatives available unless expensive hotel in the park. I was unfortunately not booked in the beautiful main building but in

Staying at the Historic (aka 1950's style ) motel served us just fine. It is not a fancy motel, situated behind the historic hotel but it was clean and warm. We ate dinner in the attached dining room but chose not to eat breakfast there. The breakfast was priced at $16

Crater Lake is VERY isolated. If you don't get a room in the NP (limited), you drive miles for a place to stay. The Prospect Historic Hotel is worth the drive through the beautiful area. The rooms are small but liveable. My husband complained of the foo-foo, but it's

Thank you AlexBelli, You are among many guests who have seen through this foolishness. I can't count the number of guests that have come to us - Laughing out loud at this reviewer's comments. They loved the response from us. Several made reservations because of our response and specifically asked to meet the writer of the response. SO - Thank You Kat3975, you have helped increase our business. And you have made numerous guests laugh.

Do you allow cats? Is it OK to leave the cat in his carrier in the room when leaving for the day?
Hi Cynthia, We do allow cats in our motel units, not in the Historic Hotel Bed and Breakfast Inn . However we do not allow any animals to stay in the rooms unattended. While most pets are not an issue we have had the occasion where the pet was "not" happy being left alone in a strange place and was very 'vocal' about it. Their singing was not appreciated by the guests in the room next door napping. Sorry but we have had to implement a policy on no animals being left unattended.
