Stopped here based on a AAA rating, but did not stay!!! The lobby was literally torn apart with plastic sheeting hanging. The place smelled like chemicals and paint. Pool &spa were not functional. And they wanted $138 for the cheapest room with a single bed.

This hotel shouldn't charge people, instead it should PAY people to stay there. The room was DISGUSTING and it was very noisy. The employees were rude and they even charged my credit card way more than they said they would. This is not an honest business.

Tbey cancelled our reservation for the eclipse and wanted to charge 5 times the rate. A very dishonest hotel. Don't book here as they might decide to cancel your reservation. And not even tell you. They have been featured in the Oregonian for this.

We booked at the Stafford Inn because we had a great experience some 5 years ago while passing through Prineville on a family vacation. Our stay for 2 separate nights during the week of March 20th was only okay because the place is under renovation. Our greatest disappointment was the indoor pool being closed. The staff indicated that the owners...

Had a room booked for the eclipse on August 21, 2017, and the manager emailed to say they were cancelling it because of new ownership. This is not true because the new owners took over in 2014, not just now. It's just a scam. Have never had a room cancelled before when it was booked online and confirmed. Now they...

We found the Stafford Inn during a very long, snowstorm-filled drive on US 26 from Ontario, Oregon to Portland. The desk staff was very helpful as we checked in, tired and cold, and did their best to accommodate our requests. Our rooms (king and 2 queens connecting) were very comfortable, and the king room included a sitting area as well...

I booked two rooms last January (2016!) to make sure I had reservations for the solar eclipse in August 2017. They happily booked my rooms and the reservation was made with my VISA. There were very few rooms available in the area because of early bookings for the eclipse, so we were very pleased and relieved to confirm lodging for...

We were part of the group that booked rooms for the eclipse that will take place on August 21, 2017. There is another review about this. We booked well in advance in December 2015, in good faith and received confirmations of our bookings. So we had a binding contract with the Inn. The owners or management realized that they had...

Our group booked 3 rooms at the Stafford Inn in Prineville, Oregon, US, for two nights: August 19 and 20, 2017. We booked those rooms in December 2015. The Inn is in the line of totality of the solar eclipse that will cross the US on August 21, 2017. The rooms we booked cost $160 and $170 per night. We...

We did not have reservation, stopped on spur of the moment. Staff very friendly, clean facilities. Quiet, easy parking. Breakfast in a.m. although bacon in morning was little thin. Would stay here again! Dinner next door was excellent!
