Called to schedule a trail ride and got the run around. Wanted to see if Chris was there or not. Well long story short he is not. I did ask about the new outfit and the horses. But couldn't get the answers I wanted. So I did some searching and found Chris. He is just down the road at another resort. And yes the trail ride with Chris was amazing.
What a beautiful place! We came for a conference my husband was attending and the views from this place were phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and food was great. We do wish they would serve alcohol after 9:00pm, but we understand that Is not their rule. Lots to do for kids! Will definitely be back!
This was my first visit to Brasada. My husband had loved it from previous corporate events with Daimler Trucks. It exceeded all my expectations from the panoramic view, delicious food, ranch architecture, hot tub and, especially, horseback riding! The equestrian community and trail riding was a big draw for me, and it did not disappoint. Chris, our guide, is legit - a true horseman with great people skills. The horses were kind, fit and happy to go out, and they were fun for the experienced riders yet safe for the novice. The trails were interesting with lots of terrain changes. And, we learned so much about the area and appreciated Chris’ valuable insights. I want to live at Brasada Ranch.
We unfortunately had some bad experiences with some of the service recently. Sadly my phone call was not returned by a manager at brasada ranch, whereby I hoped to provide some constructive feedback. The resort facilities are nice and the “cabin” was nice as well. We were so excited when we arrived and we thought this might be a place we’d come to frequently. The next morning when I attempted to pick up our takeout breakfast, I was struck by the rude host and server who did not meet typical 4 star (or even 3 star) resorts we’ve been to. The food wasn’t ready at the promised arrival time (they only had 6 other diners in the restaurant in total-2 tables essentially-so they were not busy). The mask statewide mandate was in effect and as I wore my mask, the server (who wasn’t wearing a mask) tried to make political digs and get into conflict with me, which is not something I would expect as a guest. She told me to sit down and I said that I was picking up breakfast for my family, so I was not looking to stay. After I waited 15 minutes past the “ready at” time, I finally got my order. The server got right in my face as if to again make a political statement and she told me to “write my name legibly” in a condescending tone as she handed me the receipt to sign. It was bizarre and incredibly out of line and unwelcoming. As a side note, this server made the latte we ordered and it was clear that she was not trained as a barista in addition to not being trained in basic customer service. The next morning when I arrived to pick up takeout breakfast again, the host was texting on his phone for 3 minutes before he acknowledged me at the host stand. There is more that goes beyond the scope, but I’ll cut it off here. Simply put, their guest service training significantly trails the level of infrastructure investment, thus making this not feel like a 4 star resort. I would have expected a manager callback to hear feedback, and the lack of a return call perhaps indicates that the management condones or at least accepts this type of guest experience.…
Our trail ride was amazing. Gaurn or guide and wrangler so helpful and knowledgeable about the surroundings and about the horses and their behavior. He was explained everything vary clearly and in a way the novice people in or group could understand.
Chris our wrangler was so fun to ride with. He is so knowledgeable about the area. We had great conversation, views and of course amazing horses. They even had a Clydesdale for my 6ft 4 boyfriend. We will definitely be back!
Our journey with Wrangler,Chris, was an extraordinary experience filled with insightful remarks about every landmark to even enjoyable personal life stories. He went above and beyond all while making the beautiful ride on the horses amazing. From the view, to the roasting the marshmallows; everything was great. By the end of the excursion, my wife and I surely felt like we made a friendship with Chris and his horses- Laredo and Scout. Definitely looking forward toward our ride.
My wife and I decided to book a "staycation" honeymoon at Brasada Ranch. The grounds are amazing, the staff are very friendly and the views are out of this world. Our cabin was super quiet as I'm guessing this was low season at the ranch (typically the weather isn't in the 60s in February) because we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. While the Ranch itself is amazing, the highlight of our trip was the "Casual Trail Ride" we booked. Melia (our awesome cowgirl) was so warm and welcoming and non-judgemental. I say that because this is my second ever trail ride in my life (the first was when I was quite young and it wasn't a great experience) but my wife is an experienced rider (she has 3 horses that I mainly just pet and feed carrots). Melia did a fantastic job of prepping me for any potential issues we might encounter. The ride was amazing and I would recommend this for anyone considering a trail ride around the Ranch. PS- ask for Melia!…
The resort itself is beautiful but there were some details that will prevent me from choosing this location again. First, the wait staff is either short staffed or something but I never had the room cleaned up between days. I asked for towels and never received. The Ranch House eating area staff was subpar. Slow service, not engaging with customers. Take out service was served in cardboard boxes and was burnt. In addition, closing the general store so early (5pm) isnt very helpful to the visitors. When check in is at 4pm and you have one hour to pick up snacks for the night(not much selection by the way) its a bit frustrating. On a positive note, the spa was very nice and would recommend.
This is an incredibly special place. My wife and I live on the East Coast and wanted to do something different for our honeymoon. We discovered Brasada and are now convinced it's a hidden gem. Where do I even start? Our cabin was the perfect retreat and a great place to relax in between our different adventures. We loved the fireplaces in the various rooms and the hot tub outside. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We could have stayed there forever! We loved walking from our cabin to Brasada's restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm still dreaming about breakfast at the Ranch House, which we had a few times during the week. We enjoyed one special evening at the Range, which features a very cool ambience and delicious food. The homemade s'mores after dinner were a definite highlight! Throughout the week, we also enjoyed Brasada's various amenities. We really loved the pool and had an awesome morning at the Spa. The General Store is an underrated part of the resort that we still talk about today. And how could I forget the stunning views of the Cascade Mountains where ever you look. They are breathtaking! Outside of the resort, the staff at Brasada helped us coordinate excursions in Bend, such as whitewater rafting and moonlight canoeing. Both were once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Overall, we highly recommend Brasada Ranch. It really is a uniquely beautiful place with top-class service, food, and amenities. We can't wait to go back!…
