This is an old hotel/motel that has had a stylish remodel. But the end product is actually quite basic underneath the makeover. There are no cupboards. No iron or ironing board. Basic desk, chair and bathroom facilities. The bed a very firm. The hotel is located in a convenient area. there are lots of restaurants around and it is convenient... More

I stayed here with 2 other friends for 4 nights. The location was good as it was walkable to downtown and an easy cab ride to other neighbourhoods. We had a nice room that was clean and funky. Loved the chalkboard doors and purple lights. Also loved being so close to the awesome Douglas Fir for drinks and eats! Very... More

This place is super modern, very clean, and the staff are awesome. I love the chalk board doors in the rooms. My friend and I lost total track of time writing poetry on the door. Great location, super affordable and well worth the money. The only thing that I didn't love was that they only have a little tiny parking... More

This was nearly a perfect five-star (sorry, five green circle) review, but there were two small negatives that interfered, which I'll just get out of the way. I could NOT get the wifi to work on either of my devices, and neither could my friends - this was a bit of a hassle, and unexpected. Also, sleep quality is huge... More

This is the most disappointing hotel I have ever spent time in. When I booked the hotel online I thought I was getting a funky boutique hotel at a good price. After arriving I realized I paid for an overpriced dorm. Staying at a hostel would have been better than this place. The worst part about this hotel is that... More

My cousin got married on Sunday at Union Pine and the Jupiter Hotel was listed on her wedding website. My husband and I had never stayed in Portland and were looking forward to our stay. After flying to PDX on Saturday night we made our way to the Jupiter Hotel. The hotel check-in staff was friendly but seemed unorganized. Our... More

My wife and I, along with 2 friends, visited Portland for a few days. The guys at the front desk we very helpful and super cool. The hotel room was small but comfortable. The location was walking distance from awesome bars and restaurants and a cheap uber anywhere else. Highly recommended!

My husband and I visited Portland over Memorial Day weekend after a few days in Seattle. From the website and photos, this place looked pretty cool. I did days of research (as I usually do) to make sure we were staying in the best neighborhood, and hotel. We got to the hotel, which is a converted MOTEL. The lobby was... More

The Jupiter is my go-to accommodation in Portland, OR. I typically make 4-5 trips a year to Portland and this property is a really fun place to unwind. Be aware.....this is not a place for families/children, or people looking for peace and quiet. This is the place for night-owls, musician/band types, and people who find themselves up making noise until... More

spent several nights here. the room was satisfactory and the front desk staff were helpful. Not really a spot for a family, as it is loud and has a bustling bar attached. Fine if you are traveling for pleasure and in the city to go out and have a good time, which we were.
