only one outlet in the room which is far from desk, table and chair setting was tiny and very uncomfortable. Bed was terrible to sleep on and sleeping early was a bad option due to the the crowd outside drinking and concert. The staff is amazing and location is great.

The "Jupiter Hotel" is NOT "Jupiter Next" so be careful of the pictures on the website, you are probably looking at the pictures of rooms in the newer hotel. The OG Jupiter is obviously a 60s hotel remodeled, but the walls are not remodeled and they are THIN. The noise on the Friday night we stayed was THUMPING. And we, according to the person I made the reservation with, were on the "quieter side" of the hotel. HA! No. The rooms are TINY. This place is NOT for anyone over 30. This place is for the young ones that want to go to the club next door and walk to their room to crash. Which is fine! Good idea! Just don't drive down from Seattle looking for a restful place to lay your head for the night; you wont find it here. But. . the bed was comfortable and it is dog friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, Skandrews. As you can likely imagine, we want our guests to book at the hotel that best meets their needs. as we want all our guests to enjoy their stay. We are bummed that you were one of those guests who would have been far happier at Jupiter NEXT and that we weren't able to move you over there. If there is availability, we are always happy to adjust reservations to get guests into the room or hotel they are looking to stay in, so we are sorry that we could not do this for you. We are happy to hear that your bed was comfortable and that you were able to bring your pup with you. We are always excited to meet friendly pups when they are on property. The next time you are down from Seattle, reach out to us directly if you would be interested in staying at Jupiter NEXT so we can be sure to make your stay a positive one!

If you have to stay at one of the two properties stay at the Next. The noise of the Jupiter was ridiculous. Staff not that accommodating in resolving issue, when it was clearly guest NOT the bar venue making noise at 3am to 5am. I’m NOT a complainer but it was ridiculous. The amenities are really at the Jupiter Next. Maybe it’s quieter too

Loud, loud, loud. I stayed here for business for three nights. The first night, I was in room 115-- people slamming around upstairs, loud cars outside, loud music. I asked to move rooms and they moved me to 242, which was also loud-- lots of bass, walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Rooms need updating-- definitely overpriced for what you get, but is a great location. If I was here to party all night, this may have been a different experience than to travel for work. No sleep and meetings= no Bueno.

Paper thin walls, making neighboring revelers' noise your noise. The guests next door partied from 10pm until 6am, loud, awesome, full-bass music. Then plenty of noisy sex from 6am-7am. I wish I'd been in party mode, but I was in town for a conference and trying to get a little sleep - I slept 25ish mins that night. Security tried to quiet them at 2:45am, but they turned the party back up a few mins later. I complained in the morning, and they comped me a meal and a bottle of wine, moved me to a new room, and the 2nd night was loud at the right times and quiet enough at the right times.

Thank you for taking the time to offer us this feedback BearattacksRgreat. We are happy to hear that we were able to move you to a different room your second night and that you did not have issues with noise once you were away from the offending guests. We do enforce the quiet hours at the hotel, so security went and spoke with them twice, when we were aware of the noise they were causing, and did not allow them to stay another night. We hope that you enjoyed Portland!
