I was in Portland for a conference and chose this hotel as it was within walking distance of the conference and cheaper than the conference hotels. The advantages were also that it had a bar and restaurant attached. The disadvantages were that there was no lift so I had to lug a very heavy suitcase up a metal flight of... More

Want to stay in a trendy hotel? Then you can consider this for your next stay in Portland. The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast in Dug Fir is really nice. The only thing is the location, to bad it is not downtown. When you walk to the center you will come by a lot of homeless persons. A taxi... More

Service is friendly, but unasked offers assistance in case of Noise at Night. And has complimentary earplugs in the Room (!!!!). The area around cannot be called nice, but we didn't find Public Space in this City of Bums that we would call nice at all. But if you like to come to this City, this Hotel might be all... More

Stayed here for a few nights in August. This modern motel is trying too hard to be cool. The rooms are small and depressing and the air conditioning unit sounded like a jumbo jet engine. No fridge in the rooms is a joke. Front desk staff at check in didn't give us any information about the place. Portland is weird... More

Our room was barely larger than the bed and had no closet space, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, they have secure parking and it's located close to a bunch of great bars and restaurants.

I stumbled on this place later in the evening. Reviews said it was a cool place but loud. It was cool but I had no issues with noise. There were earplugs in the room so I can assume this is a valid problem but not in my experience. The rooms were clean. The beds were lower to the ground which... More

Be warned that this isn't a hotel. It's more of an event space with rooms. Every local I spoke to from our friends to Uber drivers commented on how loud and unpleasant it was reputed to be to stay there. It was probably the worst hotel experience in recent memory. There are a cluster of rooms around Doug Fir, a... More

Have you ever wanted to stay inside a loud speaker? Now you can! Our room was on the "chill side" but on our last night in the hotel they booked a latin dance festival in the courtyard of the hotel - not even in the also-very-loud lounge. I was told the party would be over at 9pm and it's 10:30pm... More

I am truly sorry we were unable to let you know about the events on property this past weekend. Whenever we are having large events we inform our guests know ahead of time via email, but not all guests choose to share their email address with us. We are a lively property which does enforce our chill side quiet hour... More

This is an old hotel/motel that has had a stylish remodel. But the end product is actually quite basic underneath the makeover. There are no cupboards. No iron or ironing board. Basic desk, chair and bathroom facilities. The bed a very firm. The hotel is located in a convenient area. there are lots of restaurants around and it is convenient... More

I stayed here with 2 other friends for 4 nights. The location was good as it was walkable to downtown and an easy cab ride to other neighbourhoods. We had a nice room that was clean and funky. Loved the chalkboard doors and purple lights. Also loved being so close to the awesome Douglas Fir for drinks and eats! Very... More
