We had an amazing stay at the Mark Spensur on our recent trip to Portland. The rooms are spot on, super comfy beds and the hospitality it top. Loved it, made our whole trip a delight! The location is perfect, close to great restaurants and easy to find. Walking distance to many of Portlands great attractions.

We booked a last-minute night in Portland as part of a longer road trip we were taking down the west coast. We had been camping the night before and must have looked tragic when we arrived! The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and accommodating. They upgraded our Queen room to a King and gave us great suggestions... More

We spent two days in Portland at the beginning of our vacation and stayed in the Mark Spencer Hotel. The location WAS great. Our room, 208, had a window overlooking the entrance, with another wall 20 feet away: i found out we were lucky: the rooms on the other side of the hall we were on had windows that were... More

Staff was really helpful loaning us materials to box up wine to take home. Check in was quick and easy and the wine hour was a nice touch. Only draw back was the bed had some sort of I imagine plastic mattress cover that made you sweat in the night. Strange, huh?

Most fairly large hotels are polite but the Mark Spencer goes far beyond that. It feels personal! The room was comfortable, and felt less corporately decorated and the front desk both on the phone making the booking and upon our arrival after a long, exhausting journey could not have been nicer nor more helpful. 1/2 price for hybrid car parking.... My friend and I stayed at the Mark Spencer for our first time trip to Portland and we couldn't have made a better choice. The hotel is very quaint and cute. The room was so clean and neat, and had a kitchen to boot. The staff was extremely friendly and the location was perfect as it was walking distance from... More

First, the good stuff...friendly helpful staff, nice big room with kitchen ( which we would not use) , 2 queens no 302, central location. Ok:26 $ for parking per day. Breakfest good with espresso machine! Now why only a 3 of 5? The beds are super fluffy "banana boat" style, weigh too soft. Not only mine also a couple complained... More

Newly remodeled corner king suite facing east was lovely. Elegant silver and gold furnishings contrasted with dark milled lumber accents was eye-catching. Kitchenette with dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, nice dishes and flatware was superb. Wonderful walk-in green glass tile shower. One block to famous Powell's Bookstore and Jake's Famous Crawfish restaurant. The southbound streetcar line is right out the front door.... More
