Really nice hotel with super helpful staff. Location was great - right downtown, a block away from Powell's books and less than 10 minutes walk from the train that takes you to the airport. Our room was very nice with kitchenette and sitting area and a great shower. The street noise was a bit loud in the early morning -... More

We spent two nights in late August and loved it! The bed is probably the best I have ever slept in. The room was immaculate. The continental breakfast was fine--no cooked food, but fine for setting out in a City with so many great restaurants and coffee shops. The room was quiet even though they were rehabbing rooms across the... More

Well-deserved reputation for casual luxury in our first Portland visit. Hotel staff is top notch: warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet with attentive housekeeping service. Though our room had no view except painted brick of the neighboring building which we could practically touch, the windows opened to let in fresh air. Excellent location made day tripping... More

Thank you for such a fantastic review! I'm happy to see that our location allowed you to enjoy all the wonderful things Portland has to offer. We're in close proximity to the brewery blocks, food carts and NW 23rd which is great for boutique shopping. I'm glad you enjoyed our afternoon cookies, we get so many compliments about them! It's... Stayed here for 3 nights with my family when my husband was in Portland for a work-related workshop. I liked having a small kitchenette in the room with a microwave, small refrigerator and glasses, plates and flatware. We liked the nightly wine and cheese reception but I especially LOVED the cookies! Those cookies could give the Doubletree Hotel's cookies a... More

The Mark Spencer is a nice hotel in the Pearl District. We like walking vacations, so we could walk to shops, the river and restaurants. Lovely rooms and a nice little kitchenette. A couple complaints. The parking is expensive at $24 a night when you're already paying a lot for the hotel. The breakfast also could have been better for the... More

This was the most affordable hotel I could find that was right in the city. It was very clean, comfortable, and all the employees there were very friendly and helpful. The location was also great! I took the MAX light rail from the PDX airport and it dropped me off only a few blocks away from the hotel which was... More

Thank you for such a great review! We're in a great area of the downtown known as, The West End, just on the edge of The Pearl District. Powell's Books is such an incredible place. You can easily spend an entire day wandering from floor to floor finding great books on varying subjects. Truly a magnificent place. Thank you for... More

Great location. Easy walk to just about everywhere in downtown. No bellman when we arrived. Had to haul heavy luggage up stairs not knowing there was easier access close by. Hotel is expensive but every decent hotel in downtown Portland is expensive. I felt we got the best bang for our buck here because of the location and size of... More

The Mark Spencer hotel was well located for walking around central Portland. The room was well appointed with top notch linens. They served wine for an hour in the evenings and breakfast of bagels and fruit in the morning. I'd stay there again.

Room was amazing! Crisp, clean sheets and beautiful kitchen in our suite. Breakfast included as was the mid afternoon tea and coffee. Complimentary daily wine tasting with wines from Oregon. Staff were very helpful and positive. Rated as a 3 star but I would peg it at 4.5!

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel near downtown Portland. It is in an older neighborhood but it within walking distance to many Portland attractions and the downtown area, and is close to the streetcar lines. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
