Graffiti all over the area. Very industrial. No enforcement of masks on guests in COVID. If I could have kept driving, I would have given up the $100 and not even stayed here. We were afraid to even leave our car in the parking lot.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your views and opinions, I am sorry to hear we didn't meet the requirements during your stay. Yes we are located in the industrial part of Portland but its very convenient we are a 10 minute drive to downtown Portland, public transportation available and close to 23rd Ave where the restaurants are located. We have signs in the lobby, front doors, middle entrance, and back door that its required to wear mask in public. If guest check in or walk through lobby with out a mask we ask guest if they have a mask or if they need one.

Industrial area location, seems to be heavy on truck driver type traffic, only a Subway if you are on foot for eating. There may be safer areas in the Portland areas, however, we did not experience any issues. I honestly did not research, good enough for an overnight for road warriors.

For me this was a great location even though the area is industrial. It was the closest to my son's. Even thought it was industrial it was quiet and there was a bus stop out front. Everyone was helpful and I will stay again.

We were in Portland, traveling during the pandemic, because our kiddo needed medical care at Doernbechers Children’s Hospital. We were trying to make the best out of a not very fun trip. We needed a comfortable space where we could get as close to our normal routine as possible - but also have some fun La Quinta Inn was perfect for us. We had a very clean room with 2 comfy queen beds and spotless linens. The bedclothes were all washable - not those bed covers that have been collecting germs since the first Bush administration. We took our little dog with us. I loved that he was welcome, but there was no pet odor when we entered, and no signs of staining from other pets. The room just felt clean. There were also well-marked areas to exercise dogs outside. We ordered dinner to pick up, then enjoyed it off of real plates we found in the well-stocked kitchenette. The refrigerator worked, as did the microwave, toaster, and stovetop. If I had to live out of an affordable hotel for very long, I’d want it to be this one. We called the front desk to ask if we could have more K-cups for the coffee maker, and dishwasher detergent (yep, the kitchenette included a little dishwasher too!) Our requests were met with friendly helpful service. The shower wasn’t anything special, but there was plenty of hot water. My daughter complained about the toilet paper. I thought it was fine, as was the soap and other complementary toiletries. Our mid-week stay was very quiet. No noticeable traffic noise or noise from other guests. I really appreciate that they make breakfast available from 6-9:30 am. Perfect for both our early and later risers. There were plenty of basic options available for those who start their day with carbs, or with protein. We enjoyed Forest Park, and the Japanese Garden during our stay. We also got decadent s’mores at the 1927 S’mores Company. Everyone we met was just lovely to us - it’s Portland. We will definitely stay here again. La Quinta Inn was the perfect place for our family of 4 + dog, all in need of some comfort.

On Labor Day 2020 we had a windstorm in Portland that brought a huge tree down and consequently knocked the power out to my house. The La Quinta was close by and had a decent rate. They allowed my pup with no additional charge. The place was clean but dark and could use an update. The bed was OK but the foam pillows were awful and I barely slept. Checkout was easy and the Staff friendly.
