We recently stayed at Janzen Beach RV Park in Portland Oregon. It was the first time that one of the Woodall's reviews was so horribly wrong. It was the worst campsite we have ever stayed at. My 8 year old daughter cried wanting to leave. It is under the Portland Int' airport runway, a military airport and beside a train... More

The rv park is ok, like many other parking lot types, stayed for 3 nights with 42 ft coach. Easy to maneuver around. Good location for getting to downtown or shopping. No problem with check in, not a very friendly woman but that didn't affect my stay. Very noisy, had to wear ear plugs to sleep but didn't bother husband... More

The woman in the office was terribly rude from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left. Whoever owns this park needs to get another employee in the office with tact & professionalism. There are people out there that would appreciate this job. Not chase away clientele with snarky remarks . There's a line between being assertive &... More

We wanted to experience much of what downtown Portland has to offer, but we firstly needed a place to park our trailer. And we didn't want to have to drive and park in the city. Jantzen Beach provided a place where we felt safe leaving our truck and trailer for the day. And we were able to catch public transportation... More

Wish we had longer here it is a very clean and well maintained park, yes it is noisy as it is near airport and freeway but also one of the very few close to town. Easy to catch bus/train into city once you figure out where - directions were not good- have to walk up past target to main road... More

Questionable neighborhood. Lots of traffic through the park. Unfriendly office staff. Mostly permanent residents. Noisy. The park is in the flight path of Portland airport! We were not given restroom codes at checking nor were we told we could only get limited TV antenna channels without a Comcast box. To get the box you have to give them all your... More

We've stayed at Jantzen Beach RV park several times. It's within walking distance of several big box stores, as well as some awesome restaurants. Just south of the bridge to Washington and some excellent RV repair facilities there. Great showers and laundry, staff is excellent.

Don't bother. They don't care. We checked in after office hours, per earlier phone instructions. Wifi would not come up, our site cable TV feed was split between two nearby RV's whose cable feeds were obviously bad (knock on a door or unplug them?), and we were not given a bathroom code. Not an auspicious start. We called the Emergency... More

This place was disgusting. We reserved because of Good Sam's high ratings, but when we got there, the counterperson was so unfriendly. I went to take a shower and there was mold in the showers and blood on the floor. I went to complain to management but that same counterwoman said, "The cleaning crew must not have gotten there yet."... More

This is actually the best location in Portland for getting around. There is the bus, the little train and I-5. I have learned that there are better ways to get into and out of town than the freeway though. Yes,there are a number of full timers living here and I have noticed that the quality of their rigs has improved.... More
