A must see during the holiday months. I stayed here with my two year old daughter (and our dog!) during early December, and the tree in the lobby was simply gorgeous. Our stay at the Sentinel was one of the most comfortable trips I recent memory. I highly recommend it. Gracious and courteous staff and beautiful rooms.

Without a doubt, The Sentinel by Provenance in Portland is a full service luxury hotel. The staff will accommodate any request, ensuring your stay is nothing short of perfection. What was an overnight stop in Portland, will become an annual trip for shopping, great food, and a night of spectacular musical entertainment at legendary jazz club, Jimmy Mak's.

A very classy architecture flows throughout the hotel! The room at the end of the hall is such a smart and useful resource for guests! Service is stellar and hotel cleanliness is top notch. I will definitely seek this hotel for future stays!

Spend a rainy week-end here and it was great and very cozy. We had a spacious corner room with a gas fireplace. It was very comfy with 2 large chairs for sitting. Great bed. Nice large bathroom but old time tub shower. Towels very a bit on the small side. But we loved the hotel and its new decor in... More

stay a bit confusion about the tree huggers, and the bar was kind of terrible, they don't ask you you beg for a drink, so terrible, cleanness and confort are very good, food is average, elevator very slow and no way to use stairs.

Stayed for an overnight with friends after a looong Thanksgiving Day the day before! The Sentinel was just what we needed! Location was perfect, everything was close by and easily accessible. As it was a Friday night there was as lively crowd at Jackknife and we were glad to join them! Stayed on the 6th floor and took advantage of... More

The hotel and venue spaces are beautiful as well as our room! We loved how easy check in was and how helpful the staff was. During my stay I injured my foot and the hotel staff did what they could to make sure I was comfortable. They got me an ice pack and found me a place I could put... More

Worth a visit - unique hotel. Large rooms with very comfortable beds, albeit beds were small in our suite despite the large sized room. (double beds) Enjoyed our stay with family. There seems to be a lot of competition so I shop around.
