Safe, quiet, clean, affordable. I even ate some strawberries from their plants. 11 am checkout was a bit early, but they were booked solid for the next night. They let us check in early though. We walked to the Moda Center for a concert...a good 2 miles, and stopped at Wider Bros brewery on the way. I hadn't spent much... More

Really good motel for visiting Portland. Location is great, only few hundred meters from light rail. Personal was very friendly and room spacious, good equipped and clean. Free parking, fast wifi. Great value in Portland.

A friend and I stayed there for a night on our way to Seattle. Room was very clean and well put together. The staff were very helpful and understanding when we were running late and requested a later check out. It was relatively close to a number of food places, giving us options. We loved the vintage vibe and the... More

basic property, walkable to many venues in the neighborhood which is why I selected it -- clean, tidy room with kitchen. owners were kind enough to check me in very early in the day. some noise with the MAX line that runs down the middle of the street out front, but I'd definitely stay again if the need arose.

We were notified about the charge and immediately contacted the hotel to inform them that the reservation should be cancelled and why. There was less than an hour between the time the reservation was fraudulently made to when I informed them to avoid all of the hassle being charged but we were still charges $62.

Comparatively inexpensive. It delivers what you would expect. A decent motel in which to spend the night and move on. Not to far from downtown, right on the light rail line (caution they do run into the later evening. I did not find it hard to go to sleep, but others might.) Typical carpet cleaner smell and funky tub/shower combo... More

First, understand that this is an old, 1950s-style hotel that has been cleaned up and modernized. For what it is, you can't beat the quality and price. It was very clean and had updated decor. The problem was that my wife wanted something more up-to-date. We had planned to stay here 5 nights but left after the first night. Thankfully,... More

The property itself at the Monticello was without question the nicest in the area. The staff was okay, they seemed a bit pushy and with a 10 am checkout time it was a little irritating to have them coming into our room as we were leaving at 9:50. But, the room itself was clean and having a full kitchen was... More

There were holes in the wall and crunchy carpet, not a pretty motel room. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. It's fairly close to downtown. There was not anything in this part if town.

The staff was unbelievably rude to me. We booked the first night-and the woman told us we could let her know in the morning if we would be staying another night. I went over in the morning to let them know. A different woman brusquely told me I could come back later. I told her I had some morning errands-and... More
