My husband and I stayed here on a trip to Portland a couple of years ago and are planning to stay again soon. Sandy is very friendly, but not the type to monopolize your time either. Nice quiet neighborhood and super comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. We appreciated the notebook she provided of nearby vegan places to eat and had... More

i stayed here on two separate occasions while on a work trip to Portland. Sandy is a wonderful host who is very accommodating, very sweet, and respectful of her guests' privacy. Rooms are spacious and can easily accommodate 2-3 people. Bathroom is located down the hall and shared amongst guests but this was never a problem since there are never... More

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at the Cherokee Rose. Sandy (the owner) was the perfect balance of friendly, accommodating, and not too much in our space. We had our privacy and also had everything we needed. We have both been vegan for years, and the breakfast we had on the first morning was one of the BEST... More

My friend and I found this inn while figuring out where to stay in Portland- and I cannot express how glad I am we chose it. Not only was the inn charming, affordable, and well-located, our hostess was sweet, helpful, and knowledgable. Our room was spacious and clean. The food was amazing- sure to be enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans... More

This place is great. The owner is great, the food is great, and the ambience is wonderful. Sandy, the owner, is the most loving and compassionate host. If the Inn wasn't enough, Sandy makes everyone feel welcome. If you skip this place, it is truly your loss.

The Cherokee Rose Inn is a lovely place to stay. Sandy is a courteous and respectful host; she allowed me to store my luggage before checking in, made us an excellent vegan breakfast and left us to our own devices, which I truly appreciate, as people who hover make me nervous and tend to ruin my breakfast! The house is... More

My sister and I came to Portland on summer vacation and spent three nights at this wonderful B&B. Besides having a fantastic location in the artsy southeast, the Cherokee Rose Inn has this cute, vintage bohemian vibe. Our host, Sandy was so gracious - she immediately makes you feel like you're visiting an endearing relative rather than being pampered and... More

My husband and I were charmed by our three-night stay at the Cherokee Rose Inn. We visit Portland often and usually stay at downtown hotels, but decided to give a B and B a try just for something different. We couldn't have been more pleased. Sandy's house is on a quiet street in a great neighborhood within walking distance of... More

My mom and I stayed two nights with Sandy and we were not only pleased with our room, but also charmed by our hostess. The house felt like "going to grandma's" or at least a favorite aunt's. It's got a spacious living room area, and a large, inviting front porch to sit and visit on. Also nice was the upstairs... More

My friend and I stayed at the Cherokee Rose Inn for eight nights in the end of april, and it was easily one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The room (the Eagle room) was large, the bed comfy, and the food was a complete dream. It wasn’t just that it was all vegan, a luxury in... More
