Excellent all around. Amazing (vegan!) food served at 8am every morning that anyone (including non-vegans) will love! The host is very friendly and knowledgeable of Portland and the surrounding areas--she was very helpful with any questions we had. The rooms were clean and private, free wi-fi (and a computer to use in case you didn't bring one), and there was... More

We decided to visit Portland because of its vegan-friendliness and this vegan B&B perfectly complemented our trip. Host Sandy was very helpful and cooked a delicious variety of breakfasts and other treats. We were fortunate in being the only guests during our stay and so did not have to share the guest bathroom! Great neighbourhood, convenient to several vegan restaurants... More

Wonderful owner, Sandy; felt like home; great breakfast; and, for me, a fantastic location as I did not have to rent a car - everything I needed was within walking distance. It is a small bed & breakfast - with 2 available rooms - the Wolf Room and the Eagle Room - both one flight up in this 104 year... More

I first want to say that Sandy, the owner, is very sweet and accommodating so I feel reluctant to give a review like this, but I am hoping this will inspire her to make some necessary changes to her home. Based on prior reviews, My husband and I, along with a friend, rented both rooms for one night in April.... More

After searching for airbnb apartments, I decided to go b&b's a try. I came across Cherokee Inn listing almost by accident but I knew right away it was a perfect place for me as a vegan traveller. The house is in a quiet leafy area, around 15 minutes from downtown by bicycle. To be honest, Portland's downtown is not that... More

My husband and I stayed here on a trip to Portland a couple of years ago and are planning to stay again soon. Sandy is very friendly, but not the type to monopolize your time either. Nice quiet neighborhood and super comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. We appreciated the notebook she provided of nearby vegan places to eat and had... More

i stayed here on two separate occasions while on a work trip to Portland. Sandy is a wonderful host who is very accommodating, very sweet, and respectful of her guests' privacy. Rooms are spacious and can easily accommodate 2-3 people. Bathroom is located down the hall and shared amongst guests but this was never a problem since there are never... More

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at the Cherokee Rose. Sandy (the owner) was the perfect balance of friendly, accommodating, and not too much in our space. We had our privacy and also had everything we needed. We have both been vegan for years, and the breakfast we had on the first morning was one of the BEST... More

My friend and I found this inn while figuring out where to stay in Portland- and I cannot express how glad I am we chose it. Not only was the inn charming, affordable, and well-located, our hostess was sweet, helpful, and knowledgable. Our room was spacious and clean. The food was amazing- sure to be enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans... More

This place is great. The owner is great, the food is great, and the ambience is wonderful. Sandy, the owner, is the most loving and compassionate host. If the Inn wasn't enough, Sandy makes everyone feel welcome. If you skip this place, it is truly your loss.
