It was truly a wonderful visit. Thank you kindly and to your staff especially Earl who attended to us during check-in. Location was central to our visit. Room was very well kept. Hotel Lucia provided the little things in life that made our short stay comfortable.

The staff at Hotel Lucia was very friendly and helpful, but the room itself was just average. The rooms are very small (and we were told we were upgraded to a larger room). And the room is worn and a bit sad. It was ok for a one night stay, but any longer would be a bit much.

Hi mmth308, Thanks for taking the time to review our team. Did you happen to talk to the staff about your thoughts on your room? We work hard to keep this old building in good working order for our guests and it sounds like we need to spend some time in the room you stayed in. Our goal is for no guest to leave unhappy with their choice to stay with us. If you ever return to portland please feel free to let us know you'd like a larger room! The smallest type sold on third party sites can be a bit cramped for someone looking to spread out.

Kudos to the staff at the front desk and the door! Very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations! Nice room, well appointed, very quiet for sleeping! The location is in a good area of the Pearl District. Had a great dinner at Dechutes Brewery, great breakfast at Cheryl’s on 12th. Close to Powells Books.

What a wonderful surprise this hotel was. From the moment we walked in and heard the music in the lobby to the moment we left it was awesome. Staff is so friendly and accommodating, room spacious, comfortable and clean. Loved the happy hour where we were introduced to some very tasty local beers while sitting in the lounge and meeting new friends while listening to some awesome music. If you like laidback atmosphere this is definitely place for you

Hey Misha! Thanks! Sincerely! Hosting people from all over the world with different standards, personalities, and methods of communication can be a daunting task. Our team works hard every day for guests to feel welcome in our space for reviews like this. It's really nice to hear that our efforts made an impact on your time in Portland.

Couldn’t be better. Great friendly staff; very comfortable rooms; terrific bed; just excellent - best hotel I have stayed at in a while. It’s also walking distance from everything in downtown, loads of good food options

The hotel was clean and nicely appointed. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. There wasn’t a business center; however, the staff offered to print anything I needed and even called several of their other properties to see if any of them had business centers or a computer for guests (they did not). Unless you need a business center, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hi Pam, Thanks for taking the time to review our team! If you ever come back and would like a computer to work at we're happy to clear some space for you. We don't get many requests for a full business center but one of our strengths is that we're always willing to be flexible to ensure that our guests are taken care. Thanks for staying! BTW - Goshen is a beautiful place!

Very comfortable room, great rate and location, excellent access to city and airport public transportation. To rent a car, the best option is to take the red MAX light rail to the airport. To visit Washington Park, take the red MAX away from the airport.

We really liked this hotel. Staff was extremely friendly on check in as was the door staff throughout our stay. I was concerned the room may be too small based on other reviews but we were offered an opportunity to upgrade our room to a larger suite for $10. I appreciated that the upgrade offered was at a very reasonable ask. Our room was a good size and we liked the decor. The only thing we didn't like was the bathroom, very poor design and just a total miss - feels very institutional. Portland itself is really struggling with homelessness and for that reason it can be a little unerving walking around. Parking is super easy and convenient directly across the street, $24 overnight. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we tried to add a 3 rd night but they were fully booked. Aside from their outside pride flag complete with heavy metal pole falling in the wind and nearly killing our family by about 4 feet, we felt very welcome and would stay again.

Hi Sd0483, I'm so sorry about the flag pole! We had an extremely windy day that decided it wanted to take a piece of the building with it. I'm glad that you are ok and that our team made you feel more comfortable while staying with us. I hope that you can come back soon and we can make memories without any near death experiences!

I'm actually super bummed we were only there one night! The staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a happy hour where they provide drinks at the check in desk, and the first drink is free! The lobby area was super cool and chill too. We got the lowest priced room since it was just one night (we were in Seattle for a few days prior.) It was small, but super cozy and trendy. Bed was comfy and almost didn't feel like just a queen for the 2 of us. I would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend for someone looking for a more alternative and eclectic experience in their hotel stay.

Hi Kristin! Thanks very much for your kind words! I definitely agree that we're not a normal hotel. Our small team loves to make every guest feel welcomed while staying with us. If you choose to come back please ask if we have any larger rooms available. We're a historic building and our room sizes vary greatly. Hope to see you again.
