Every turn had me going "wow" in my head. Giant vases filled to the brim with starbursts. Crazy fun colors on the walls, lighting, desks. Not lying, when I got into the room I had to confirm in my head that I didn't accidentally pay $500 for this place because it looked so nice and had so many amenities.

We had never been to Portland and kind of stumbled into this charming small hotel. We had contacted a well known chain hotel, but they were booked. That reservation clerk recommended the Inn and I checked it out on Trip Advisor. It all sounded good. We stayed 2 days in this slightly off beat Inn. Here is what's great: 1)...

We recently traveled to Portland for a vacation. We came close to staying downtown, but stumbled onto a review of this hotel. Since we were going to spend most days driving to the coast, waterfalls and Mount Hood, the hotel's location and free parking swayed us into choosing the Inn of Northrup. Our room was very nice with bright cheerful...

Nice room with many amenities while visiting Portland for a family reunion. Location good on the tram, and part of a upstanding neighborhood based upon the large hospital but also good stores and restaurants all around. Leafy, pleasant, warm & friendly place, constructed with enough of Portland's eccentricities to be authentically off-beat.

We really enjoyed our brief one night stay at this delightful Inn. It is a kaleidoscope of color, from the entry to the rooms. Bed was really comfortable, room had everything needed for a great stay. The road front rooms face a trolley track, but it was not to noisy.

The staff were super helpful and the style and décor of this hotel was very lively and fun. My favorite thing to do was hang out on the upper outdoor deck while the sun was out and relax. Perfect location for getting around town on foot or transit too. Clean, spacious rooms with street view lanai, and reasonable rates -...

Great place to stay. Friendly staff was helpful. Price reasonable. Colorful Alice in Wonderland look. Doesn't feel like a dreary hotel room. Comfortable furnishings and great location. Nell's restaurant nearby is excellent. Fun place to set out exploring the town.

I like staying in places that have a personality and this does. Of course it's in a great area, on the streetcar, but if you are not fond of bright red, purple and pink you might want to stroll through...really nice suites, small functional kitchens, very comfortable beds. And you could spend a good week eating and drinking your way...
