The hotel is on beautiful grounds and the employees were all very courteous and helpful. There is a nice bike path surrounding the river which you can see from the rooms. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the river. The hotel is conveniently located to many downtown activities that can be reached by car - or uber.

The location was beautiful, but our bedroom door was broke and couldn’t be closed and the couch bed had a dirty sheet on it. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room the second day, so we had to ask for fresh towels. The bed was really comfortable though and the restaurant is beautiful with good food. The wait staff in the restaurant is horrible though. Everyone kept apologizing and saying they were new. I just felt we should have had way cleaner rooms and better service for the $1,100 we paid for three night.

We stayed here for a wedding in the area. Room was clean and comfy. Great access to river path and waking trails. Restaurant food was okay/fair but the service was terrible. We were the only people mid afternoon on a Friday and the server rather talked to her co-workers than help us. The spa was over priced with very inexperienced staff. Friendly but too casual, lacked professionalism considering the high end pricing and the rain shower, which was a big part of my body wrap treatment, was barely luke warm. I was shivering by the time she was done. Overall, the hotel was nice, valets were fast and friendly and the front desk folks were very good. Room was large and comfy. For the price, I expected more polish from restaurant and spa. I gave 4 stars since the restaurant and spa are separate experiences that one can avoid.

Upon arrival you’ll be forced to valet your car, despite an empty parking lot. Disinterested and ubhelpful desk staff will great you. Your dark, dirty room may or may not have appropriate information (like how to order room service, let alone lighting). The grout in the bathrooms is blackened, the phone is caked with dust, the wall- mounted soap dispensers are oozing with rust. Your massage professional will shortchange you 15 minutes. Your steak with be inedibly tough and dry - that’s only AFTER you’ve had to walk over to the restaurant to physically order it yourself because the hotel menu is absent from your room and the phone is broken. Lastly, good luck sleeping in the world’s itchiest sheets. I read bad reviews about this hotel and didn’t want to believe it, but it was so horribly below par I had to say something. Don’t stay here.

Had a bit of a bad experience this time. First we were put in a very strange room off the gym (weights banging at 5:00 am) and no hot water. The hotel seems to be a little run down as well. One of the elevators was not working while we were there. On the bright side the staff were really nice and they tried to make things better for us. The valet guys are really good. It is great to be on the river because there is a great paved trail all the way down to the Sellwood bridge. It's about a 2 mile walk to get down town
