Wonderful eclectic hotel . The staff is wonderful. We enjoyed all the art and decor. The bathroom is shared but there are four on the hall and we never waited. The hotel has a bathrobe for each guest. They do have parking arrangements at two garages that are within a few blocks. Located right across the street from Whole Foods... More

This is a truly unique hotel with themed rooms. (we were in the Nick Cave, Night of the Lotus Eater room...super cool) From what I could tell there are only a few rooms with king-size beds and private bath, otherwise you will get a queen-size bed in a smallish room with a shared bath down the hall. I didn't find... More

My husband and I stayed in Portland for one night and stayed at The Crystal. There is a conveniently close and safe parking garage right up the street that the hotel recommends. Hotel is in the only area we truly felt safe in Downtown. There is a bike rental rack on the next block that offered a fun, convenient way... More

Quirky and unique is what best sums up this fab hotel. Each room is named after an artist who has played in the crystal ball rooms just a couple of blocks down. In American terms this hotel would be classed as historic and that allows for its aging colour schemes and totally fabulous rich decor. We stayed in the James... More

We love all the Mc Menamins!!! I have their passport, so it's fun trying to visit them all and find the clues and collect the prizes😊!!! The Crystal Hotel is soooo great! We got a queen with private bath, nice big corner room-- wonderful location in downtown Portland - great street music at night, walked to Powell's bookstore and Everyday... More

Love these properties. This one was a bit more money than I usually like to spend especially because of the parking fees in the Pearl. But it's a fun and funky hotel with a prime location for enjoying downtown. The only thing was that the beds are hard.

We stayed for a night while visiting to see a concert at the Roseland Theater. The show was only 5 blocks away and we felt perfectly safe walking between the two late at night. The hotel itself is super fun and quirky. Very nice employees who are willing to help with anything. We forgot our robes when we went to... More

Thank you for the review! Glad you had a great time and hope the show at the Roseland was fun! for a change in menu we do have Ringlers Pub just up Burnside to give you that variety. We do have happy hour menus served from 3-6pm and 10pm-12am. They can kind of blend in as they are the "bar"... More

The hotel is in a nice area for walking with easy access to a variety of restaurants, bars, grocery, variety stores, Whole Foods, Powell's Books, public transportation... The soaking pool in the basement of the hotel is a nice amenity, use the robes provided in your room for making your way there and back to your room. The room decor... More

We did not realize that there is no on sight parking. My husband didn't do his prep work before booking the room. We found parking a couple blocks away in a garage at noon that charged us $15 for overnight and then the next morning charged us another $5 because it was after 7am! Crazy! The room we had, #415,... bendcoles, Thank you! Thank you for staying with us. The queen bed in your room was a standard queen bed, the rooms is considered "European", because the bathrooms are shared, down the hall. Maybe I expected a lot, because I have always like McMenimen's pubs. The hotel rooms were lilliputian, the bathrooms reminded me of summer camp. The only upside was the children's breakfast and the pool in the basement.
