We found the Inn at Marquam Hill while looking for a place for my wife to stay when I was recovering from surgery at OHSU. Originally, it was thought that I would be discharged after 5 days, but due to a series of complications, my original stay extended to 12 days and then an additional 8 days soon thereafter. Mike,... I found this wonderful place to stay on Craigslist. It really is a home away from home. It is beautifully decorated with many antiques and enjoyable artwork. The common areas are spacious and comfy; the shared bathrooms were spotless, and my bedroom was huge with a sitting area and sliders leading to a covered porch. I left my sliders open... More

When looking, and after not finding 1 decent hotel in Portland under $200, I went the B&B route and found the Inn at Marquam Hill. For the $125/night, this is the absolute best deal in the city! Yes, it is a bit off the beaten path, but given Portland's excellent public transportation system, it really did not matter! Very comfortable,... More

This place is just like home. Simple inn closest to OHSU. Not a full bed and breakfast but roomy, clean, super friendly staff, fridges in room, comfy bed, real homey and cheaper than any hotel downtown. If you need a place near OHSU Hospital this is great. We stayed on weekend and they had help yourself breakfast quiche and it... More

Never saw the people in charge, had early apt at OHSU never saw such a small room not even a place to put suitcase, had to open closet door to make it look larger. Very pricey for what you get. Very hard to find and very little parking

With a 7 pm arrival, I was met with a letter on the table indicating what room to sleep in, and included my bill. The front door has no lock. The room was small and the house was noisy. I intended to stay 3 nights. In the morning, the host never greeted me, never asked who this stranger in his... More

Just what I needed while taking a class at OHSU. A friendly place with a clean, comfortable room, an outstanding breakfast and plenty of local advice for a tourist. Looking forward to my next trip out!

The owners of this inn provide something much needed for the families of patients at OHSU. They give you a clean, cozy, home-like atmosphere with comfortable beds...and they cook for you and ask you about why you are there. They deal with many family members facing crises with their loved ones' health - guests who feel sad, worried, nervous, afraid...and... More

My mom and I stayed at the Inn for 2 months after I underwent stem cell transplant at OHSU. Mike and Nancy were beyond wonderful hosts and we were "at home" away from home. They catered to us at every turn (when they could) and treated us like royalty. The breakfasts are fabulous - almost anything you can think of... More

I had made the reservation for my wife and daughter with Mike (owner's son) for a single room with two beds and private bath. Mike said he could do it if we booked two nights but not a single, so I booked both. When they arrived the owner said they couldn't honor this room ("Mike made a mistake") and didn't... More
