My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Deluxe in Portland and we had a great stay. The location is convenient to the downtown Portland area, most within walking distance. The staff were great and very helpful with suggestions on what to see. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend the Hotel Deluxe!
This was not our first time staying in this wonderful hotel. We had a great night once again. The bed was super comfy and the avocado toast at Gracie’s was absolutely awesome! We’ll definitely be returning!
Unhelpful staff after multiple car break in their own parking garage. We recently stayed at the Deluxe while visiting Portland for the weekend. With no overnight parking nearby, we payed to stay in the Deluxe’s parking garage. Glass was all over the garage, first red flag. When we returned the next morning another guest had discovered their car had been broken into. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that someone had attempted to break our windshield too, leaving two cracks. The staff was NOT at all helpful or even sympathetic in helping me deal with it. The desk person told me to email the Desk Manger but have still not had a reply after 7 days. For such a highly-rated hotel it’s frustrating that their garage is so poorly secured. It’s even more frustrating that this has clearly happened so many times that the staff don’t even care anymore.…
We love this hotel! The staff were exceptional. Our room was a studio suite and we were very glad we splurged for the extra room and corner windows. The robes were a nice touch, not your usual boring terry cloth. Location is excellent, not downtown but a very quick walk on tree lined street. Fathers Day brunch at Gracies was interesting as the kitchen caught on fire just as we were ordering. Obviously, this wasn't anyone's fault, drinks were comped and the waiter, Terry, was so gracious with his apology that they had to cancel service the rest of day. Makes for an great travel story! We will definitely go back to Gracies, as its a beautiful place. Only one disappointment, I had arranged for bubby and balloons in our room for my husbands birthday and they weren't provided. I should have confirmed the day before. This is a gorgeous, intimate hotel and we will be returning.…
We love the Hotel Deluxe. It is our first choice for a stay in Portland. It is convenient, yet a bit away from downtown busyness. The decor is elegant. You feel as though you’ve entered a classic 1930’s Hollywood movie. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The food at Gracie’s is excellent. It’s a winner.
Stayed this weekend. Service, quality and comfort were off the charts. They have 2 dining options onsite. We had brunch at Gracie’s and were really looking forward to dinner, however we did not know it would be closed Saturday evening due to a wedding. As disappointing as that was, it gave us the opportunity to have dinner and drinks at Driftwood. Great variety of classy cocktails with happy hour even on the weekends. Dinner menu was limited but we both enjoyed the burger and salad. The added tea service was nice. Beds very comfy too
Great, unique hotel and reasonably priced. One comment is that in this day of electric vehicle chargers, they only had 3 that were in use the whole time. So we'll look at other hotels next time to compare the numbers. I realize this is a new thing for hotels, but the deLuxe owns their own parking garage and there seemed to be plenty of room to add more chargers.
Great boutique hotel with glam and historic feel. Friendly and kind service folks at the front desk and free wine during their happy hour! Not far from the Pearl District, great shopping, restaurants and bars. Putt putt golf and beer garden right across the street from the hotel!
My husband and I had the most magnificent experience staying in this Deluxe hotel. Being movie buffs we were in heaven. The staff were informative and thoughtful. Location was perfect and our room exceeded our expectation! Definitely plan on returning for a longer stay next time.
We were very impressed by the Hotel Deluxe in our stay in Portland. It's a great old hotel that has been nicely upgraded (particularly, if you are a film fan). We had a big, comfortable corner room with great views at a very good price (~$200/night, including parking). Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Everything was better than we expected!
