A clean, nice, great value guesthouse. The owner is extremely nice and helpful and there's a kitchen for use of the guests. Parking may take you time to find. Shared bathroom - clean as a whistle. The area is wonderful - lots of restaurants and cafes on it. 20 minutes walk to downtown Portland.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I know I didn't think it would be this nice. The guest house was clean, cozy and wow, the location was perfect. I will warn you there are LOTS of stairs, so be prepared to lug you bag up them (we got very lucky and the owner was there when we checked in... More

We stayed 4 nights in room 5 - top floor of the guesthouse. The entire place was spotless clean. Excellent location - close to downtown and transport. Loads of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Best hot showers ever - never had to wait to use a bathroom. Price is exceptional for what you get. Very safe area - highly... More

I wasn't 100% sure what to expect when we arrived as it is a slightly different setup however everything about our stay was excellent. From the ease with which we could check ourselves in, the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation (everything including the bathrooms was spotless), the clear and simple instructions throughout and provisions in the kitchen and bathroom.... My teenaged son and I stayed for the long weekend on a college visit. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms while shared, were spotless. In fact, we never would have known there were any other guests in the quaint abode. We spent our days walking into downtown Portland; it was about a... More

To Tim, Thanks for looking after my son and his travelling companion so well in your very warm and comfortable guesthouse. A very good location in a quiet, but 'happening' part of the city with lots of wonderful restaurants, cafes and quirky shops. We appreciated the very simple and extremely organised way of checking in, the place was kept spotless,... More

My wife and I just had a two night stay at this comforting and welcoming spot. It was out third stay here and we hope to return many times for its comfort, unpretentious welcoming atmosphere and convenient location. Its economy doesn't hurt a bit, either. Everything seems to have been anticipated including a night table and reading light on both... More

My nine-year-old son and I stayed for six days in August 2015. Location, location, location... perfect for so many reasons. Whether you want the trendy shops, restaurants and coffee shops that NW 23rd offers you, or short walks to Providence Stadium (to watch the Timbers or Thorns play soccer) and Trader Joes, plus bus stops close at hand for transit...
