Detailed Reviews
Old world elegance describes the Pendleton House. The furnishings were extensive and beautiful throughout. Everything was spotless, dusted and polished. Breakfast was impressive, elaborate, plentiful and delicious . Our room was very comfortable with a separate bathroom and sink as well as separate sink and shower room. The advertising pictures do not begin to show its wonderful ambience!
We were there only one night, but I could see it would be great for family reunions and wedding receptions.
Our on-line reservations got messed up, but Jack promptly called us and sorted out the issues to our full satisfaction immediately! It was great doing business with such a "can-do" person. By far the best business man I have dealt with in the service industry.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have spent a night at this lovely Inn on our return drive to BC from Utah. We had booked at a run of the mill hotel in Pendleton before we stumbled PH Historic Inn. Jack was a very helpful and gracious host. The bed was very comfy and the gorgeous old room was very nicely appointed and had a great shower in a bathroom with a sink in addition to another bathroom with the toilet and sink.
Breakfast was delicious...especially the homemade yogurt! Highly recommend this lovely home.

We took a "staycation" for the long weekend and stayed two nights at the Pendleton House in the Mathersa Room. It was delightful. I looked out the window and could imagine what it felt like to be the Queen of Pendleton with the entire town at my feet, only a couple of blocks down the hill to restaurants and shopping. There was even a band playing on Main Street we could hear when we went outside. The main street lights sparkled at night, we kept the curtains open so we could enjoy them. It was easy to find from the highway. I can't imagine staying in a chain hotel when you could stay in such a lovely place.
The hosts were charming as was Pendleton, The house is beautiful, classy and has a sense of history but it is still comfortable and not at all fussy or precious. Which was always my concern about staying at a B&B. We weren't afraid to sit in the chairs or relax on the shared with the room next door patio upstairs connected to our room.
Breakfasts were *chefs kiss* delicious. Mr. Jack can garnish a plate like you wouldn't believe and prides himself on never repeating a breakfast during a stay! I wouldn't mind if he had. I need his rosemary potato recipe. Food sensitivities and restrictions weren't a problem since we told them what they were in advance. Non dairy, no problem!
There are no TVs but we had tablets and the wifi is free. We can't wait to find an excuse to return.
Need something extra? They'll make it happen for you. A bottle of bubbly, or a glass of whiskey, a cheese plate or warm cookies, let them know they'll make it happen.

This house is amazing - the original wallpaper is still on the walls, the ornate woodwork is in perfect condition, and even the original color of the trim was matched. Jack and his partner have labored to make every detail of the house match how it looked in the early 1900s. They've filled the rooms with antiques, with ornately framed photographs from the early days of Pendleton in every room, even period tile in a closet converted to an ensuite bathroom. It was a privilege to stay here, and I'd hugely recommend the Matharsa room. The huge king bed with its woodwork was probably the best I've ever slept in. This was an unforgettable experience - we were transported back to the early 1900s.

What a delight it was to stay in this well appointed historical home. Jack’s personal touch is evident and enhances the original wallpaper, curtains, woodwork, and many other items. We loved having not just one but two bathrooms in the Mathersa room. Jack is the penultimate host as he has ensured that every detail has been addressed-bottled water and chocolate at your bedside, oral history of the house and family, referrals for yummy dinners, and then the gourmet breakfast! Home grown vegetables and spices, locally sourced meats and eggs, home made yogurt, all start the day with culinary delights. A warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. Thank you Jack and Will! ❤️❤️

This historic home, built in 1917, is a beatiful place to stay when in Pendleton. We stayed in the room with a private bath and it was awesome. Our 2-night stay was a wonderful experience. The innkeeper is a wonderful host. The breakfasts were great, and there are options for cocktails, various wines, snacks, and soft drinks available as well. The living room is a wonderfully warm setting with a fireplace, comfortable chairs and sofas--a great spot to just relax with a glass of wine, read a book, listen to music, or chat with a friend.

Really loved this place. The picture do not do it justice. Every detail was impeccable and we loved reading about the original owners. The room was so comfortable as was the sitting area downstairs. Breakfast was great, Jack could not have been a better host.

We stayed one night at the Pendleton House and loved it. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our host Jack was super friendly and helpful and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Our room was clean and we loved the big bed. It was great hearing about the history of the house and that they've kept most of the original things in it such as wallpaper and lighting fixtures. When you walk into the house you feel like you are walking into an opulent era gone by. It's an easy walk to restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s not often that you have the opportunity to stay in a 1917 mansion packed with antiques and associated ambiance! The Pendleton Inn is a true gem - beautiful interior and exterior, comfortable beds, all amenities you need, and Jack, a personable host who serves a fabulous breakfast and provides info about the house and its original owners. Highly recommended for stops in the Pendleton area!

Really enjoyed our all too brief stay here over Labor Day weekend. Would definitely stay again. Jack & Will, the owners, were so welcoming and accommodating. The location is great for a short walk to a variety of great restaurants and bars down the street. Jack & Will are happy to give recommendations. Just chilling out on the porch and listening to the current owners relate the history of the building and original owners is fantastic, too. Breakfast was delicious. Room had a historic vibe but with a lot of attention to detail for modern guests. Be sure you know whether you are getting a private bath or shared. The shared baths are actually quite nice, too. But you probably don’t want to be surprised in this regard. Call ahead of time if you want to be sure about this.
