Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is a rustic mountain lodge and resort specializing in family vacations, weddings, retreats and group events. Located on the magnificent north side of Mt. Hood and set in the midst of the beautiful Mt. Hood National Forest, our lodge is surrounded by pine trees with views of three different mountain peaks; Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Rainier. Just 23 miles south of Hood River, Oregon, and 12 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is ideal for those seeking year- round mountain adventures. It's a quick and easy 90 minute drive from Portland, yet is secluded to allow guests to remove themselves from their stressful daily lives to enjoy the surrounding nature. Accommodations include lodge hotel rooms, lodge condos, cabins, and a 4-bedroom log home (perfect for large families or corporate retreats). The peeled log structures present a charm and elegance you would expect in this mountain environment. All units have woodburning fireplaces with the exception of our lodge hotel rooms. All of our units also have refrigerators so guests can bring along meals and snacks. The lodge condos and cabins have kitchenettes and the 4-bedroom log house has a fully-equipped kitchen; ideal for extended stays.

We stayed in a family room (1Q, 2T) and loved the decor and comfort of the room. The restaurant served tasty food, though breakfast with the homemade, baked that morning, pastries were the best! The staff were incredibly friendly. My only "issue" was that the shower head was too low, but given everything else it was a minor inconvenience. I'd recommend this property. We passed quite a few orchards and vineyards in the area. Unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of this because it was Jan.

We stayed in a cabin on property. It was spotless and comfortable with nice linens and beds- and I’m picky. I was pleasantly surprised by the niceties like fresh ground coffee daily and the tavern continental breakfast being lovely. The dinner menu was good and food was delicious. My only small complaint is that cabins are dark by nature and the lighting in the cabin needed to be bumped up (wattage-wise). Make-up and puzzles were tricky. Otherwise a great stay. Front desk attentive and helpful when needed, very good service.

Considering this hotel is in the middle of nowhere in a very beautiful spot, they've done a good job. But to call this a resort is a stretch. We stayed in one of the hotel type rooms (not one of the cabins). Rustic furniture with TV and internet, but the towels in the bathroom were like sandpaper - need to be upgraded big time. The layout is very funky - the rooms enter in an odd hallway with 2 microwaves. Our neighbors decided to cook curry which smelled up the entire side of the building. And the walls between the rooms are very thin - you hear most everything next door. The one restaurant/bar has a limited menu but you expect that given the location. The continental breakfast is lacking. There wasn't a lot to do, but they do have a hot tub. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Only stayed 1 night, but our cabin was spacious & well equipped. There's a great little restaurant right onsite with great food & craft beers. It's also where a continental breakfast is served each morning with fresh made pastries & locally roasted coffee. It's at the base of Mount Hood & close to all types of recreation & sites. The staff was very helpful giving us ideas on what do during our brief stay. I will stay here again when I get a chance
