There were a bunch of very negative reviews around the web about cleanliness, the state of the building and furnishings. This concerned us but we'd already booked and the price was right. What we found was new and clean furnishings and clean and well setup rooms. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and we found it to be... More

I spent the first hour and a half of my vacation cleaning: all the kitchen plates, cups, bowls, cookware, utensils, fridge, ice trays, coffee pot and toaster. Everything was either sticky or greasy and had food crumbs from previous guests. This was by far the filthiest rental I've rented on the Oregon Coast and I come over there often as... More

These units could be so cute. Great location, and trail to beach across from units. Unfortunately this place is poorly maintained and not clean. Had there been other options we would have left. We arrived late at night. We were greeted by a pile of swept up dirt by the door. The next morning we had to go into Newport... More

The views and the beach were beautiful. The Chalet #8 was disgusting. From the mold growing on the outside of the refrigerator and shower, to the gross carpets. Would not recommend the chalets to anyone.

Entire property in desperate need of updating. Rust and mold evident in too many places to mention. Unsafe deck off our unit (#2). Lights bulbs burned out. The manager, Pops, knows what to do but the owners don't want to spend the funds. Only a matter of time until the deck collapses and the corporate owner is sued. I'm not... More

Everything is extremely outdated. All of the blankets and throws in the house were covered in piling and animal hair. The upstairs toilet seat was bubbled and needed to be replaced. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pots and pans need to be replaced, as does the stove. When we arrived none of the lights in the living room worked,... More

If you want to experience clean, well cared-for accommodations, the Alpine Chalets are NOT for you. We stayed in Penthouse #2...and were not happy at all. This place needs some serious deep-cleaning; its "ick factor" is off the charts. Dirt, grime, unclean dishes, gross flatware drawer, broken window blinds...UGH. The bathroom is really gross, the extra blankets are threadbare and... More

I had the WORST experience with Vacasa this spring renting the Alpine Chalet "penthouse." The issues that I experienced were: 1) Horrible smell all through the place -- even the mattresses smelled nauseatingly. The smell was a mixture of dog urine, cigarette smoke, body odor and who knows what else. 2) Everything, and I mean everything from utensils to carpets... More

Located along US101, the major west coast highway, if traffic noise bothers you don't stay here. We arrived to find the #10 unit well used- ie-shabby and worn. The furniture was actually dirty. We had to wash dishes before use as the glasses were stuck to the cupboard. The web site said it was "only 100 steps from the parking... More

This rental property is booked through Vacasa, and we do not recommend booking here. 'Sunset suite #1' was filthy, like it had not been cleaned in months. There was black mould in the shower, on the bathroom tiles, and in most of the window frames. The carpet was damp and the entire place smelled as if it had been febreezed... More
