Marc and Susie, We can't thank you enough for your amazing generosity during our stay at your magical Clackamas River House! We felt so welcomed and loved during our stay! From the comfort of your home to the ease of the breakfasts and the beautiful backyard environment both morning and night complete with a mesmerizing firefly nighttime display by the fire! There were so many memorable moments with you both! I especially loved our river trip! We laughed so much along the way! We are looking forward to many more visits to share with you both! Our stay with you touched our hearts in priceless ways that will forever stay in our hearts!
Thank you to Marc & Susie for opening your home to us for a couple of nights! The room was perfect, the bed was so comfortable, and the gourmet breakfast each morning when we woke up exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed the fire pit, the fireflies (light show in the trees), the waterfall in the backyard and chatting with you both during our short visit. Close to the river, restaurants and hiking trails! Highly recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone looking for a relaxing spot with the best hosts!
Spacious room with a very comfortable bed and beautiful view of the Clackamas river. Rear balcony viewing a beautiful rain forest, ferns, moss covered trees, pond, waterfall, plantings and flowers, The bedroom is cosy with hand trimmed wood, microwave, refrigerator and comfortable furniture. Next to my bedroom and private bath is a media room that exits onto the balcony overlooking the rainforest where you can sit under the umbrella and enjoy the sounds of birds and water flowing. Or you can walk down the steps and over to the gazebo and watch the fish swimming in the pond while enjoying a small fire in the fireplace. Many breakfast choices of organic, delicious food including zucchini bread, fresh produce and parfaits for the morning meal. I very much enjoyed getting to know both Marc and Susie and felt at home listening to their stories and their adventures during my visit. We laughed a lot!.…
This bed and breakfast is a good value. Breakfast is tasty with much of the food being raised by the proprietors. Friendly atmosphere. There are only two rooms. The room on the main floor has a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The room has a view of the Clackamas River.
Thoroughly enjoyed the one night we stayed at Marc and Beverly's b&b. It was set up perfectly for 3 travelers, which is often a problem at bed and breakfasts. Two of us stayed in the "Log Cabin" room, a.k.a. "the bear room" (go stay there and you'll understand). And a single bed was arranged in a separate room on the same floor ("the frog room" ... just - you have to visit to understand). Great setup, and clean, spacious, and well organized. Clear view out of the siting area in the larger room to the Clackamas River, and from the room at the back of the house, I could hear a water feature in their back yard burbling away as I went to sleep. Breakfast was a delight, starting with a huge platter of locally-produced fresh fruit. The plums were from Marc and Beverly's own tree and were superb. A spiced up egg scramble, far too much bacon, and muffins and great conversation. I strongly recommend a stay at the Clackamas River House for the simple and unsnobby b&b guests like myself. It satisfies in every way.…
We stayed only overnight but were very pleased with accommodation. Mark and his wife are very nice and pleasant people. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. The location was perfect for us. It was close enough to Hwy 205 and close to our needs. Too bad we were not staying for few more days to enjoy the river, which is right in front of the house, across the street. There is boat ramp and park 10 minutes walk, perfect for picnic, kayaking, tubing, etc. Very nice Stone Cliff restaurant is literally next door, no need for car, just 2 min walk up the hill 2 driveways away. 3 small character bars/restaurants within 5 min walking distance. Very pleased with our stay, won't be our last. Thank you Mark.
What a find this place was! I was caught short and needed a place to stay. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before this. It sounded nice, the price and location were right, so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! The food was delicious with home grown ingredients. Marc and Bev were such nice people, and we had just great conversations over the lovely breakfasts in a peaceful, beautiful back yard which has it's own little waterfall! I felt very welcome and comfortable, and as a single woman felt very safe. The Oregon room overlooks the Clackamas River and was very comfortable and roomy, (and pretty, too) and the private bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub in addition to a shower. I plan to return and would highly recommend Clackamas River House to other travelers.…
First time at a B&B and this place was awesome. They were so accommodating and good to talk to. Clean place; quintessential Oregon! Breakfast was all natural and yummy. Bathroom was huge with a Jacuzzi.
Mark and Beverly very professional and efficient in providing room and breakfast. Stayed two consecutive nights. Very comfortable and my wife and myself are diabetic - food served was well within the guidelines for diabetics to eat. The room was very nice.
Writing on behalf of my parents who stay here every year and just love their hosts. Immaculately clean. Their room is quite large. Seating area even. Walking distance to Stone Cliff restaurant (great river view), and several small town bar and grills.
