Finally got time off work for a quick trip for a little R&R it was just myself traveling I knew I wanted to stay someplace nice someplace new and right on the beach. I found Hallmark Resorts and began reading the reviews, they were are Great reviews. When looking at a place to stay there’s a couple things that are key for me; balcony or patio, Quick easy beach access, must be clean. The fact that this location had a restaurant on site that not only offered dining in and take out but room service was a plus.
Again since I was traveling alone from inland I wanted to make sure that I would feel safe once arriving there is absolutely no hesitations in my mind this is a great and wonderful location the check in process with Covid was great prompt I asked for an early check in due to Covid housekeeping rules have changed, Much to my surprise I got a phone call very early upon my driving to state that my room was already ready. When you pull up they come to your car Side get you all checked in room keys and everything and you check in you go to your room. Of course the pool in the hot tub in the workout room are unavailable that is clearly notated on their website.
Beach access for myself sometimes is questionable I have lots of pain in my knees and my hips so knowing that The resort sits upon a cliff and there are stairs to go down had a? In my mind. There’s two paths that are nice they are not lit up at night time however if you request at the check-in desk or upon making your reservations or checking in that you have flashlights and even beach blankets put into your room. There is also a staircase I did check that out just so I knew and could do a review on it. They were not bad at all the steps are spaced out so it’s not steep it’s very comfortable.
All in all I had a wonderful stay and I will most definitely be coming back to this location thank you very much!

We've stayed here before and loved it then and still love it now. Had a couple issues during our visit though. Upon arrival the window in our room was left open and the room was FREEZING and then the heater didn't work and we had to call maintenance to fix it. There was hair on our "clean" sheets and on the very worn out holey mattress pad underneath. In-room spa jets didn't work correctly. We were told prior to booking that we could book back to back pool slots, but the front desk tried to tell us otherwise when we called to book 6pm & 7pm on our last night. You get 45 minutes to swim, but when you get out of the pool after 45 minutes they expect you to leave the pool room immediately and go outside in the freezing cold while you're soaking wet. The lady sanitizing the pool room will just stand there and rudely stare at you until you get out.

Here at Hallmark, safety and guest services is our number one priority. To comply with our state and CDC guidelines, we do have to keep a window open after housekeeping cleans the room to ensure there are no airborne pathogens. When we were able to open our pool area, we have to sanitize every 45 mins in between guests. I know we have a double door on both side entrances to the pool area where you can stand in between the doors to allow housekeeping to sanitize the pool area. Because of The Hallmark's compliance to Covid restrictions, checking in took longer as guests waited in cars for curbside, social distance registration. The rooms are high quality, the fireplace is inviting, the view of the ocean from the room and the balcony is refreshing. We have a 15 month old, very busy, toddler so we wanted to get away for the night. When we got there we were met at the door by an employee who told us exactly where to stand to fit within the new guidelines with the shut down and asked for our I.D. to start our checkin process while we were still waiting in line. By the time it was our turn to check in, they already had our reservation paper there and was starting the process. She (her name was Ros, and absolutely amazing) went through, line by line, Exactly what all the paper work said and made sure we didn’t have any questions. The check in process, though thorough, was only about 5 minutes. By the time we got into our room and settled, we had a call from the front desk to make sure everything was as it should be and to make sure we didn’t need anything else. My boyfriend is a fisherman and we stay in hotels quite often when he’s out of town to see him, and this was by far the absolute best check in we’ve had and I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone. The room was absolutely amazing and so was the staff. The room was spotless and they had put all the dishes in the dishwasher, and left them clean in there for us, to make sure everything was disinfected and ready for new people to stay.

We loved our stay at the Hallmark. It has a dishwasher, utensils, bowls, and plates so if you want to eat in the room, you can. It has a path straight to the beach. The staff are friendly and personable. The pool is great. The views are a 10, from the lighthouse to the ships passing by. We plan on going back this summer.

My husband was away visiting his parents for 3 weeks; to reconnect when he got back, I wanted to stay the weekend somewhere gorgeous, oceanfront, that accepted dogs. Because I'm me, I waited until the last possible moment to make arrangements. I called The Hallmark Canon Beach, but they were full up. I then called The Hallmark Newport and the nicest person discussed my wants and needs for the weekend and we came up with the best possible room: the pet friendly, limited edition, king spa room. I looked online and it looked beautiful - two person jetted tub in the room, an absolutely cushy-looking bed, pull out sofa and a fireplace. It had everything we needed.
We arrived the following Thursday. I have impossibly high standards, so I was prepared to be a bit disappointed when inevitably the pictures on the website didn't match the actual room, but instead, I was blown away. Not only were the pictures perfectly representative of the room in question, the atmosphere, the vibe of the place was absolutely fantastic. From check in to check out, we felt like we were truly honored guests. Alex, at the front desk, helped check me in and was so nice, professional, and helpful that he set up our stay on a high note. When we entered our room, we could immediately hear the ocean and feel the breeze; our housekeeper had left the room staged to take advantage of the best quality of the location: the ocean. They had also left us a doggy gift bag with frisbees, water bottles, treats and a lovely note. Every staff member we talked to was friendly and helpful; they really made us feel at home.
It was mid-October, but it was warm and temperate. We slept with the patio door open to catch the ocean breezes. The bed was extremely comfortable, the jetted tub a delight. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the sunsets and listening to the ocean. Dinner at Georgie's was delicious and the ability to walk right next door after dinner was amazing! The hotel had multiple places to take our dogs and a fairly easy way to get down to the beach and also had just a thousand thoughtful details, both in the room and on the property: dishes and other utensils in the little kitchenette, a dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, dishtowels & dishrags. On the property, easy to navigate stairs to the beach, a foot wash, doggie bags near the pet area, well lit walkways. All in all, we felt comfortable and happy as well as safe and looked after and will definitely be returning!

Great Views, treat your dog like a guest with a doggie bag with doggie water bottle, dog towel and treats& Frisbee. beds are comfortable. jetted tubs are comfortable. water pressure here is very good and water never goes cold. staff is very accommodating. the pool and hot tub were open when we just went 9/1/ /2021. rooms are pretty noise prof besides thudding from up stairs. Patios on ground floor are not gated so pets cant be outside with out you or a leash. we bought a exercise pen and gated our patio with that so we could let our dog lay outside as he pleased. it was a big hit with the other vacationers and worked so well. Caution when using the volleyball court or horse shoes. look out for dog poop.

My wife & I spent Thurs & Fri. at the Hallmark for her Birthday. We were very impressed with the procedures they put into place to address Covid 19. Curbside check in and to go delivery to your room from Georgie's. Masks were worn by all employees and hand sanitizer readily available. The staff were all excellent!! This made both of us very at ease.

I've been coming here for a few years with my wife and family and I have never been let down. Every room has an ocean room view and often times you can see whales from the beach. The staff here is extremely helpful and go out of their way to answer any question you may have. Many dog friendly rooms are also available. Georgie's beach side grill is a wonderful restaurant located on the property which provided room service for guest--the food is of good quality.
The prices and value of the guestrooms are very reasonable for all the amenities that are included, such as beach front access. Guests can check out beach blankets and flashlights to walk and relax on the beach at night. Even when this hotel has no vacancy, this property is very quiet and peaceful. There is nothing like sleeping to the sound of the ocean waves coming through your window at night!

We have been staying at the Newport Hallmark for over 25 years, simply put it is the best place on the Oregon coast to stay! The staff is some of the best people on the planet. Short story, we have a 20 year old son that was in a motorcycle accident in 2018 and is in a wheelchair, he can not shower in a ADA shower , the pool is closed due to covid and we asked if there was any way we could use the shower in the pool changing room and not only did they make it happen but they went way above and beyond that, they turned in the heat,made sure it was clean and had towels soap ECT in the shower for us! This is nit out of the norm ..... This is what the staff does ....they are the best of the best and work at the best hotel on the coast!
