This is a lovely resort right on the coast. Clean, quiet, level spots, wifi, cable tv, laundry, indoor/outdoor pools, saunas, jacuzzi, pickle ball and more. There is a trail down to the beach trail or enjoy beautiful views from the grassy area along the cliffs. This is truly a one of a kind report.
First time at PS, in the past, we have had travel trailers which they don't allow. The park is beautiful, and if tou want to get a dose of Motor home envy, this is your place. Lots of million dollar plus coaches to look at (we don't have one of those by the way) the park staff we had contact with were ok, one was cordial, one was too business like for my taste. The hike to the small beach is not for the faint at heart but is great exercise. The park residents were all nice to chat with in spite of an obvious financial disparity 😀 If you want a quiet few days, this is your place but be warned there isn't much to do on grounds. The gated park plan appeals as it does keep out the lookie lous. Nice park, little spendy And, it is a little on the spendy side.
We celebrated our 40th anniversary at Pacific Shores MotorCoach Resort in June and had a super time -- we encourage any RVer's or RV-wannabe'ers (that's us) to make plans to stay. Thirty years ago, we took our son there for a weekend and now he and his family joined us for our 40th! Recent bad reviews - mainly from 2020 - were probably dragged down by government-imposed rules & restrictions cramping out some of the expected joy and freedom of the resort experience. For us, the theatre of restrictions were appropriately observed and given their proper consideration ;) The staff was helpful (thanks, Denny!). And the RV owners there in residence were very friendly to us and made us feel welcome. Our 2-bits: Be a good guest, and you will have a great stay. The clubhouse (recreation building with pool, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, laundry & ironing, TV lounge and more) was very nice and handy. The facilities also included showers -- which is pretty handy if you have a crowded RV! The grounds are well kept, and feature nice landscaping and hiking trails. Picnic tables, dog walk and run areas, ball court, and a Gazebo -- all along the way to the beach.…
We called to make a reservation at this beautiful Motorcoach resort at the last minute bc our vaca got cancelled d/t covid. Well we got so lucky. Someone just cancelled and we ocean front spot!! #167. Overlooking the lighthouse and ocean. Beautiful spot just remodeled. Staff was great. Facilities look nice, all closed d/t covid. Asked them to trim bushes a little in front of us, they did! Would highly recommend this resort!!
This is the worst RV park we have ever stayed at! The rudest most unfriendly staff & guests we have ever encountered. It’s obvious they don’t want anyone staying there except lot owners! It’s like a prison with wardens walking around observing your every move! God forbid you think you’re going to have any fun at all! A library is louder than this place! Save your money there’s lots of other beautiful rv parks along the Oregon coast! We will tell everyone we know to never stay there!
Like to be put down and looked at like a outsider stay here! Like to have beach access that Requires a hike straight down and back up over a mile for a 4 foot beach at tide? Stay here. No fire rings no access to any thing unless a owner stay here! It is best to stay at a KOA down the road they have 100% better access and half the price! They don’t want us here they are rude and not happy for any one to stay a night!!!! What a rip off. Called manager she said “well we got a 5 star review so go where you belong” And I quote
1. They advertise “beach access”. If you have any heart, lung, or leg issues, I would not recommend using their trail. 2. They advertise “no contact check-in”. Means they are going to charge your credit card for the full amount, days before you get there. In town you either swipe your own card or give to the waiter like normal. 3. Since Pacific Shores (PS) CHOSE to Close all of the amenities, you only get basic water and electric hookups, I asked why they hadn’t reduced the nightly rates. Basically, it’s Greed. a. PS Laundry is closed. In town both laundromats are open, had about 16 people in there, no masks required. We actually talked to a lady coming out of the PS Laundry and she told us you had to have a code to get in and to call the office. The office told us the laundry was only open for Owners (Evil Guests were not allowed to Contaminate the machines) and we should use the laundromats in town! b. PS Restrooms are closed. In town and at all beaches we visited all restrooms are open. c. PS Showers are closed. Both Beverly and South Beach State Park campgrounds had their showers open. They have between 400 and 500 people per night. d. PS Clubhouse is closed. In town all restaurants we visited had indoor seating. e. PS Hot Tub is closed. Could be open, but limited to one family at a time. f. PS Pool is closed. This is the Only thing that was ordered closed by the Governor. 4. If you are looking for an overpriced campground that treats their guests like dog poop, then PS is your place.…
Arriving with our reservation paperwork in hand, we were greeted by a nice girl who led us to our site and all was well. Set up, hooked up, half an hour in.....a curt man knocked on our door and said “you’re not supposed to be here.” No introduction or niceties! Showed our reservation again. He said “your reservations been cancelled”. We were never notified. When I asked why they even let us through the gate in first place he informed me that it was a mistake. We asked if we could stay the night as we had no where to go, he said “ you wanna talk to the Board of Directors?” Our RV was the smallest there - shrinking in at 30 feet. Although it is a 2020 and passes all of their strict rules, I have to wonder if we just weren’t swanky enough for them. The audacity to basically kick us out for no reason. He used Covid as the reason but there were about 100 other LARGE RV’s set up. The maintenance man who barraged us was foul mouthed and would benefit from customer service etiquette, or perhaps a job that doesn’t involve people. We ended up at Seal Rock Cove and love it!…
We enjoyed a near perfect week at this RV park on this visit. Our site was positioned with an ocean view out of the front of our motorhome (see pic). This is an RV park we've visited previously, but is under new management now. We were enjoying our stay so much that we were actually considering purchasing one of the available sites as we love that stretch of the Oregon coast. Unfortunately, our stay ended on a negative note when we were told, as we were preparing to leave, that our RV has "aged" and that we are "no longer be welcome." The tack used in delivering this message was nil to none. Our motorhome is 20 years old and, admittedly, is in need of some cosmetic updates, which we are in the process of scheduling. Nevertheless, we will find other site accomodations in the future.…
The property owners and staff keep the facility running top notch. They do have rules for which units are allowed, but if you are within the range, its fantastic. Most of the spots are rented from the property owner, the park just helps. Many of the spaces have unobstructed ocean views. While in the park you have access to the pools, Suana, hot tub, pickle ball court and of course the beach and access. The park also has hook up or unhook areas for your towable. All spots that we saw were full hook up, 50amp service, water sewer and cable. Located on the north end of town with very easy access.
