First off, I have to say we've stayed at various State parks in and around Newport but always considered the RV park under the bridge to be a "last resort". That said, we decided to give it a try on our most recent visit and were we ever surprised. As many have said, it's a parking lot ... but a...

We spent the last two months up and down the coast. We would look at the trailers parked under the Newport bridge and think it had to be noisy. Not at all. The highway traffic is a distance swish. Nothing from the bridge - even standing underneath. It provides a lovely backdrop to look at. The park is like most...

We have been to this RV park 3 times. Our latest visit found the park to be not as well maintained as in previous visits. Weeds have overtaken each site, although this RV park can't be beat for location to Newport sights. The bathroom facilities were clean, laundry area adequate, although pricy, and some of the machines didn't work. Found...

The rate was great and the spot we were in was tucked away out of the wind. Very nice place to stay and very close to the Newport Aquarium. We stayed in the gravel units by motel 6 while our friends stayed in the paved units by the marina. The RV park where the paved units are is a Good...

Short drive over bridge to historic bayfront of Newport area for shops and restaurants. Aquarium very close to RV park.. Sites have some grass or brush dividing sites but no picnic tables or fire rings. Our sewer connection was broken and difficult to secure tightly. Easy to maneuver 30 foot RV into pull through site. Site was fairly level. Satellite...

The park is in a great location. Sites in the main park are fairly close to each other, but well laid out, all paved. The "annex" is all gravel and grass sites, but more spacious. The best thing about the park is the Camp Host, Clay. He knows the town, the sites, the restaurants, what to do, where to go,...

If you want to be right in Newport, this makes a good base for day trips. The on-site services are very well maintained, but be aware that they are limited. The business model seems to be that RV'ers will be self-sufficient so long as they have full hookups. In addition to the usual water, 50 amp power, and sewer connections...

My girlfriend and I is talk about this place nearly everyday just because of one man called 'Clay' he absolutely made our holiday. Very kind old gentle man, he gave us a tour of the town of Newport and showed us things we would of never seen if we hadn't of met him. I hope you read this Clay and...

If you fancy camping on the bay their new park is nice. However, if you are directed to the overflow lot elsewhere is where you want to be. Overflow is not much better than a pasture. Outdated restrooms and showers. Uneven spaces with weeds. During the evening hours you can visit with the homeless wandering through looking for whatnot.

We camped here for 4 days as we explored up and down the Oregon coastline. The park roads and sites are paved with low ground cover separating the sites. We enjoyed full hook-ups in a pull thru site. The WIFI worked just fine and there were 25 cable channels available. The young lady in the office was efficient, helpful, &...

“We stayed early in the season. Suggest calling ahead to reserve space during the high season because it fills early. Don't forget to visit the Newport lighthouses and the Rogue Nation Brewery. The brewery is walking distance from the park.”
