Starfish Point is as close to perfection as you’re ever likely to get. My husband and I, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, stayed two nights here and can hardly wait to return. Neil Atkinson, the owner, has created a small, peaceful facility which is quiet, luxurious, and beautiful. The most noise you’ll hear is the shushing of the ocean on the pristine beach stretched out beneath the treehouse effect of the railings, tables, and hidden nooks on the steps down to the sand. The condos are spotless, well decorated, and well supplied. There’s a dishwasher, microwave, large-screen tv, and fireplace in your unit. The beds are comfortable and the hot water is unlimited. There was a S’mores kit in the living room and binoculars in a comfortable lookout. You can borrow movies and books from the office without even checking them out. Ditto with any spices you might have forgotten to pack. There’s a lovely garden where they build a campfire every evening. The kind gentleman who showed us the rock collections and garden had worked there 10 years and was as proud of it as if it were his own. We plan to go back for a week next year. This deserves to become a family tradition!

Property's Favorite Review
We spent five days with my entire family and we’re so impressed. This trip was one of our best and we’ve been visiting the Oregon coast almost every year for 20 years. We have stayed at this place for 6 years. The staff treated us better than any five star hotel. The facilities have been upgraded this year and it has more curb appeal than ever. And the owner was there this year and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend for families.

We've stayed several times at Starfish. Each visit is wonderful. Fabulous views from nearly every room, well cared for space, clean and thoughtfully prepared, cozy private setting for the condos with beach access down wooden stairs. Small park for roasting marshmallows over an open fire--very welcoming area. Thanks to all the staff, and especially Barry who is always so accommodating (magnifying mirror worked great) and kind. Thank you mighty much! Sallie Lester

This was our third visit to Starfish Point. The small complex of condos sits above one of the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon coast--Agate Beach, just north of Newport, right down the road from Yaquina Head. The condos have panoramic views, and they are wonderfully designed with open, spacious floor plans and nice, comfortable furnishings. The views at sunset can be stunning, and the commons deck facing the ocean is a wonderful place to enjoy the view with friends--and a glass of beer or wine. Equally important, the complex is excellently managed. We’ve interacted with the owner, the managers, and members of the staff--all of whom are clearly committed to making and keeping the place a vacation haven. We love Starfish Point!

We have stayed here twice, and we hope to return again and again. The ocean views from the condos are just amazing. This is a small, intimate, and private setting. It is quiet. The shared spaces, such as the deck overlooking the beach and the garden with the fire ring (where we were supplied with the makings for s'mores) are so special. If you like to watch surfers, the views include this entertaining activity. The beds are very comfortable, the fireplace adds to the cozy atmosphere, and the kitchen is well equipped. The management is super nice and attentive, but also leaves you alone. We got to meet the owner, too, when he was on a rare visit. He left a bag of polished rocks (some were agates found on the beach) on our doorstep, in a sweet gesture. We thought about buying a coastal condo, but this is better yet. Leave all the worries of ownership to someone else and just come and enjoy a high standard of comfort.

Such a gem. Immaculate and comfortable rooms, fully equipped kitchen for those who like to cook, great views of the waves and easy access to the beach. The managers may be in contention for the World's Nicest and Friendliest ever. Lovely grounds, as well, for you (when weather is nice) and your pets.

This review is provided by Satchel, the World's Best Dog, who stayed at the Starfish Point Condos last night with his parents: "Woof! We had the best time at this condo. Usually, when I travel with my parents, they are really dissatisfied with the accommodations provided for people with dogs. Personally, they seem OK to me, but my Mom says the furniture is often ratty and they smell. BUT ... not Starfish Point! It was sparkling clean, and I would know if it smelled like OTHER dogs had been there, but no way! Plus, even I can tell it is really beautiful, with very nice carpet, the only thing I'm allowed to lay on. My parents said the bed and linens were very luxurious, and the the kitchen is extremely well equipped, and my Mom should know since she is a chef. The best part for me, though, is the really fun walkway down to a beach that we literally had ALL to ourselves. My Mom also appreciated the paw washing station and the doggy towel we were given to clean me up after our beach adventure. I went inside and laid on that really nice carpet and just stared at the ocean from the big windows. Plus, the owners were super nice, and I can tell that sort of thing. It was really the nicest place we've stayed on the Oregon Coast, and I hope we get to go back soon."

I absolutely love this place! The views from the units here are amazing. These are condo units, all amenities. Great layout, master suite with full bath including jacuzzi on the lower level, living room, dining area, full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom on the upper, main level. There are two nooks overlooking the ocean that are perfect for coffee or meals while enjoying the gorgeous view. Private access to the beach as well. Management is more than competent, they are very friendly and helpful. Motto here, "Arrive as guests, leave as friends" is spot on!

My husband and I returned for a wonderful 4 day visit. The weather was sunny and mid-50s. The managers were extremely helpful. The condos are fully equipped with a full kitchen. The unit was spotless and completely furnished. There are even gourmet spices available in the manager's office at no cost. Highly recommend!

This place is outstanding. The units are clean, and the property is incredible. They host fires nightly, and the beach is a short walk down the stairs that offers great beach walks and tide pools to be viewed at low tide. The staff is friendly, and happy to help with any request you may have. You won't want to leave the room!
