Clean room with comfortable bed and a view of the ocean. The room had some cigarette smell but that was easily remedied by opening the window and the sound of the ocean is nice background for sleeping. The breakfast was typical of this sort of place and in the hotel lobby which is quite small and gets crowded, but it... More

Most of the rooms on the Oregon Coast are outrageous in the summer, the Econo Lodge in Newport offered a reasonable rate and was very clean. We normally stay at Hilton or Best Western properties, which we much prefer, but after checking prices we decided to stay here. A free continental breakfast was offered but left a lot to be... More

Had a pleasant stay. 😀 Was concerned at first from some of the reviews. But never heard loud all night parties, had drunk people throughout the night nor found any bugs like others stated, sheets were clean and smelled fresh. Dog friendly with only a small $10 deposit. Clean room with a distant ocean view at half the price for... More

Convenient location with (some) ocean view rooms. Pets are $10 extra, but welcome. Front desk was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, fresh and comfortable, perfect temperature. Wi-fi is super fast. Mini-fridge and microwave, table and couch in room. The price is reasonable for this over-priced city. Breakfast is complementary but there is no room to sit in the small... Made reservation thru a third-party who didn't tell me there was no AC. I found out when I got there and he had already charged a fee for booking and the motel charged my account instead of allowing me to give them a different card when we got there. I was under the impression we had a room on the... More

Breakfast is a joke. It's just some waffles and cereal. We had an upstairs tenant stomping his feet all night, called the front desk to complain, she agreed to call them and take care of it. He still continued to do it for the rest of the night! At least the rooms were moderately clean.

The room was tiny and dirty. The only good thing about this place was the woman at the front desk. She was cheerful, otherwise the place is is worn and dreary. Would not recommend. We had some concerns regarding safety. Room was in the rear of the building 8n the firest floor facing a sidestreet. Wifi was really slow.

One of the most beautiful drives in North America is Highway 101 along the Pacific West Coast. And there are many gems along the way as far as beautiful scenery, Charming towns and Myriad points of interest. Newport Oregon is right along this highway and Econo Lodge in Newport is a good place to spend the night. We had a... More

Let's face it, it's not the Waldorf Astoria. But it's also not the price of the Waldorf Astoria either! The rooms are showing their age but they are clean. When booking try and ask for an ocean view. They have several rooms with a good view. Mine is not. It happens to face the outside stair case which at least... More

Ocean view meant great overlook from the bedroom, plus view of Yaquina Bay bridge from front walk. Service was exceptional, since I locked myself out of my room twice. They also happily changed my room to groundlevel, noticing my age. Heat was prompt when the evening breeze began to blow. Parking was convenient. Room was quiet. My dog felt relaxed.... More
