We booked a quick post xmas night away and had a great time. We've been several times before and were very much looking forward to the low key but personal touches that make staying here great. Things did start off with a bit of a...More
It wasn’t a “wow” experience for me during my return visit to the Allison Inn. Usually an outstanding and memorable experience, there were a few “hiccups” that perhaps displayed a lack of attention to details and an overall awareness of your guest’s presence? I did...More
Where to start? We’ve been going to the Allison for years personally (we’re local to OR) and for corporate/professional events that I’ve hosted and organized. This was supposed to be a fun, pre-holiday madness trip for us and we planned for months. The experience was...More

The Allison Inn and Spa is about 45- 50 minutes from the Portland Airport. I think if you plan to visit the Williamette Valley region for more then 2 days you should stay at the Allison Inn and Spa or some other place in the Newberg area. Traffic in and out of Portland can be heavy and it will add time onto your day. Depending on how much time you have I would spend 1-2 nights in Portland. There are attractions there worth seeing and the restaurants are very good.
I hope this helps you.
